Hey everyone! You may have noticed we had to reupload this episode due to an error in one of the structures, so that's why you may have received a double notification. Thanks for watching and all of your support! - Hannah
CrashCourse Cool!
CrashCourse yassss a videoooo jajajaajajaj
Question answered. Thank u
ok make it more entertaining alright like vsauce
I feared it was another case of "Crash Course human geography"
Me after passing an organic chem last semester: "I never want to think about this again."
Me now: "whoah, let's watch a vid about the basics of organic chem"
Basically anything is more fun when you don't get tested about it haha
THATS SO TRUE 😅
Last sentence is so accurate
Ye that’s me who got a 64 but hey I’m here
Anime and Stuff Curiosity is important, other things like your grades come later.
That's soooooooooo true.
They say being negative won't get you any friends, but look at atoms. With more negativity the group actually gets bigger.
Zach Reed tbh
There is nothing more chemistry like than messing up one small part and having to redo the entire thing (referring to the reupload)
i knew i wasn't crazy
You just summed up my Bachelor's thesis
I laughed way more than I should have at "Organic Chemistry is difficult. Those who study it have alkynes of trouble".
I'm glad you liked that one :3
Don’t scare me I have it next semester.
Is that a pun on 'all kinds of troubles'?
@@kseriousr yes
Orgo was the hardest ungrad class I ever took by a longshot. Calc was the 2nd. I remember it being the class that made people change majors.
The thing I've learned from CC over the years and years of watching pretty much everything they produce, is that A LOT of things just happen by accident, and I kinda love it. Someone needs to write a book called "The History of 'Oops'" It would probably be fascinating.
We used to watch these videos in high school, now I just watch them because I want to
jesus why do i find you every like damn
you show up on every video i watch please explain
@zeina anouti seems like everyone is having this problem somehow
LoL, this is the guy without the moustache, not the one with one
I mean, mustache
I’ve got an Orgo 1 final on Tuesday so imma need y’all to release about 30 more videos this weekend. Chop chop let’s hurry homie
I didn’t learn chemistry well at school and now I get to learn about a specific branch of it with cute animation and simple explanations
Thank you crash course! :,)
And thanks to all the amazing patreons :3 ✨ you guys are awesome
Where has this been when I needed it for organic chemistry as a chemistry major it exciting to see this even in graduate 😂
Exact same feeling ...could have become Albert Hoffman by now 😂
Biochemistry major here, too bad the episldes are kinda late. Hopefully it helps for Ochem II next semester.
@@nikolavideomaker Chem major here. I can see it definitely helpful as a refresher
im an economist but always been really interested into chemistry, thanks so much for creating such high quality content
Thanks! Glad you enjoy it!
I’m a chemist who watched the Crash Course Economics series. Are you anti-me?
ThatChemistryDude .SI now you guys have to go on a platonic Zoom date where you both wear bowties. It is decreed.
Funny, I am a chemist with a curiosity towards economics, and yes I watch crash course economics
"Science of Chemistry, is the Science of everything"
Physics: Hold it right there....
To quote my highschool geography teacher: 'geography is everything'
Srsly tho, every science is just another, but overlapping, way of looking at everything: physics being a perspective from the fundamental rules of the universe, chemistry from the perspective of chemical compounds that make up matter, biology from the perspective of living organisms, the humanities from different perspectives relating to humans, etc.
Philosophy student here: Science is people limiting their area of research based on previous successes.
"Physics: hold it right there..."
Philosophy: hang on there, whippersnapper, let me explain how you sprang from my forehead like Athena from Zeus...
@@joshbobst1629
I'd argue for the reverse but you might find it a salty stream.
Physics: Am I a joke to you
This is gonna be my teachers favorite series
Well.. I am a teacher and this is my favorite series 😁
Kids today are so lucky they have resources like this on youtube. I'm sure this channel creator is responsible for many people passing organic chemistry who may of failed otherwise. Subscribed for support.
What is organic chemistry?
Hard.
This course is absolutely saving me. I’ve had some abysmal lecturers in Organic Chemistry, with an expectation to do extended reading on overpriced, barely available textbooks. I’ve been saved only by a fantastic tutor and this course. Thank you so so much!
Chemistry has never been a thing I grasped but always something I wanted to know more about. This is a fascinating introduction, and I am really excited for what lies ahead!
_romeo and juliet had organic chemistry. cyanide specifically._
I am SO excited about this organic chemistry course!
I love learning about science so this video has made my day:)
Yay❤️
Man this timing is perfect, we're starting Organic Chem next week
Good luck friend🍀
I started this week lol
good luck to the both of us!
@@krystalshelby thanks good luck 🌟
@@justinewhite2418 thank u!
I'd never had chemistry and I thought I will hate it. But her enthusiasm makes it way easier to listen and (trying to) understand.
Idk why I'm excited watching this during quarantine but I like it!
super excited for this series. i took orgo twice, and even after passing with a C felt i never felt i understood the material confidently. that having been more than 10 years ago, i am ready to give it another look
This has made me actually like studying. Thanks so much, Crash Course.
*CrashCourse* I want to personally thank you! You were the motivation to start my *Educational RUclips Channel*! My first video is coming out in 45 MINUTES! I'm excited to make my mark in the RUclips and Education Space! Thanks again!! TRULY!
I just found your page! And I got to say I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!!
i love your profile icon! I'll definitely check out your page!
It's nice seeing people motivated by such an awesome educational page!
Finally a new chemistry crash course to watch in quarantine, time ta crash course and chill !!!
The teaching is so efficient in so little time! Can’t wait for the next episode❤️❤️🥰🥰😍
Great content and thank you so much for putting it together. As an older viewer, can I suggest 1) less overwhelming transition slides; and 2) a speech slowing function. I want to keep watching and learning.
Always loved chemistry and wanted to refresh my memory. i tried some MOOC but i was getting lost there. this video just rekindled my first love, i cant wait to see all the experiments we can partake in
I'm SO excited to watch this series, with school being over it is going to be a great support in Organic Chemistry! Thank you so much :)
I recently started my revision of organic chemistry for my entrance exam & now this video is popped up in my recommendation
RUclips always amaze me😅
I love the animations of these the most, I’ve used crash course more often than my public school at times. I got into literature and philosophy at first when I was like 14 and now I’m 18 and still view regularly
Nice video!! Even though I have finished organic last semester and I am taking biochemistry I hope you make a bio chem series soon! Love you guys😘😘😘😘💕💕
omg yes!!! I just started organic chemistry!! I love it but I have to say it's a little challenging! really looking forward to this series!!🖤🖤
You've got this! Thanks for watching!
Highly recommend David Kline's Organic chemistry as a second language to help study. It's really good at dumming down alot of what you will learn. Just now finishing my second semester of the class it's challenging but really interesting.
@@gurplepanda3656 oh yeah I've heard of that! thank you!
@@gurplepanda3656 thanx man. I just started reading this book on seeing your recommendation comment. N it's pretty good. Can you give me more tips for organic chemistry. I m new to this subject.
@@omgc3489 practice, practice practice also work with your classmates outside of class. Organic chemistry is concept heavy and working and discussing the material will definitely help cement those ideas. If you use just Kline you will probably want to look up other problems online but there is plenty of practice to be found. The first semester is probably the hardest one out of the two as it is alot of 3d visualization on a 2d sheet of paper. When it comes to resonance get a white board and do the problems on it first, it will save alot of paper and erasers.
I wish they had something with questions about stuff from the video at the end! It would help me remember things and is good for people to learn from the video and not just use it as a supplement for class.
Literally the best crash course for premed having some context before this class is going to help me so much. For those that do not know this is the weed out class and for good reason.
Starting organic chemistry next semester !! Cant be a more perfect time to start this serie
I hope when I get to learn chemistry I hope the teachers would show this video to us!
This is really interesting ( & a bit overwhelming since there's an entire vocabulary & symbolic language I'm not familiar with ) I never took chemistry in college since I just didn't have the time for the labs with my major but always wished I had. Look forward to more videos on the subject 👍
Taking it next semester and I'm so glad there's going to be a Crash Course on it this year
The host is doing a great job. thank you for this content
This video is VERY good on the basics of organic chemistry. It really helps in getting started in understanding this subject!
❤ I love how all of the teachers stuff is purple
Interesting, you should make a book
Binge watching all the 50 episodes of this series a day before my exam, wish me luck!
Excellent episode. Deboki, you’re an awesome host and I love your enthusiasm! ❤️
I’m back at school (sort of... 🙄) as a pharmacy technician so I’ll be looking forward to the medicines and pharmaceuticals.
Thanks and stay safe, all. 🌈
Love the new series! I was planning to do organic chemistry this year but... I am sick of college (206 credits obtained at community colleges, a master's graduate finishes with 180). Glad I still get to learn without spending more than the $20k I already spent (about $86/credit). :)
This comes out after I finish my Chemistry A Level lol..! Thanks though, at uni I have quite a few organic chem courses and I think this will be a great series for me!
It's been years since I've studied a little bit of chemistry, but I forgot a lot of things I am definitely gonna watch this! Love you ♥
I can already tell this series is gonna be awesome!
Wow! It couldn’t have been at any better time. I need to prepare for my NEET (pre med exam), and organic chemistry is the only thing that scares me from my intestines!
This is really well-explained! I especially liked the part showing why the skeletons are jagged. Very well-presented and cool info!
Wow, this series fell off of my radar until just today. I am super excited to watch this because I never got the chance to take organic chem in college and I've always been super curious to understand it better!
Yay, 50 episodes!!
I have such a passion for this stuff but my brain isnt up to par 😆
I think this will be a fantastic series. 😊
Thanks!
💜💚
yay just in time for my summer organic chem course! Thanks crash course for supporting my learning through general chem, anatomy, and physiology (:
I am beyond happy I am RE-taking Orgo in the fall and this came out just in time!!!
I’m here to motivate myself to study for my Chen major, let’s get it
Wish I could've seen this last year. My Chemistry a level would've been much easier. Guess I'll wish you luck future comrades
I'm so excited for this series because it coincides perfectly with what we're doing in chem right now (you bet: Organic chem)
I love ur narration. Even if it's fast, i do understand and cope up every words u utter. Thanks for it ❤️
A new series? Well this is gonna be interesting
I've been waiting for this class as soon as classes on the channel came out
Your narration makes the topic more interesting!
Thank God.. I really needed an introduction about Organic Chemistry and I really like your way of explaining topics.. Waiting eagerly for your next video.
Can you guys please post the main topics/subtopics you’re going to cover so that we know what’s to come?
Debokiiii ❤️ I’m so happy for you!!
Like Ted-ed had said in one video :” The more we know about the world as well as the universe, the more amazing they are”
Them: True love doesn't exist
me: ORGANIC CHEMISTRY AND ME!
50 episodes wow 😯
Love it! now im gonna go read up on Retinal until the next episode! 🤓🤓
Consider: Crash Course Biochem? God, I love this channel.
wait until you meet crash course quantum chemistry or crash course organometallic chemistry o_O (from my own experience)
Ooooh excited that there's an organic chemistry course starting on crash course!!!!!
YASSSS female poc scientist. Thank you
this was so interesting for me!! cannot wait to learn more about organic chemistry, excellent job
I hope they do an episode on Propane and Propane Accessories.
Great first episode! Excited for more! Deboki seems like she will be a great host!
love this... How often you publish a video for crash course? I would like to know when you upload the next. Can't wait to watch it
Truly Wonderful Addition to the CC Family. Thank You
Purple and green! My two favorite colors! This is going to be fun!
You know it's off to a great start when urine is a major point in the very first video, haha
The purple props and yellow background just pops, where can I get a microscope like that? :O
i love it. cant wait to learn! the reflections in her glasses made it a bit annoying to me for some reason. also there is a lot of transition sounds.
I majored in Organic Chemistry. Later I made organic compounds for researchers
Wow an instructor from Bengal to teach us organic chemistry! Cool.
Thanks a lot for this series. It will be my favorite
Teacher making me take notes on this rn
I actually enjoy Chemistry, I just can't pass the course! Ugh
Students should have prior knowledge about for them to get into this video. This is the best supplemental video.
Me and my friends at school always used to find organic chem and all the mechanisms so difficult. We used to complain all the time. Then we got to inorganic chem... and all of a sudden oragnic chem looked like a piece of cake! 😭😂
I quit my Chemistry major because I couldn't pass Org Chem II. Couldn't react a thing. So I'll watch this to try and work the trauma off.
Is this helpful for like BioChemistry or something?
sudhir kumar tutiki Biochemistry uses some of the basic concepts from organic chemistry. However biochemistry has more to do with fixed, expected reactions between biological proteins, carbohydrates, etc. organic is more widespread information thus why it’s so much harder than biochemistry. A lot more theory than biochem.
Chemistry in which we study organic compounds is called organic compound.
Organic compounds are the Compounds containing corbon and hydrogen together
"Over these next 50 episodes" Wow weeee I am keen for this!
Great video, I'm excited for the rest of the series! Just one little negative I'd point out: I found the editing somewhat jarring at times. The rapid cuts between formulas and you, with the stripes and the sounds at *each* cut... That was a bit much.
Anyway, just something to consider for the remainder of the series, which I'll be sure to watch either way!
Hey Guys, I saw your amazing content and I think so it would be really awesome for the kids to understand the concepts in a fun and innovative way. We work for making education accessible to every child across India and for that we need to empower teachers with excellent content like yours. We would love you guys to collaborate with us and let's be in this fight together. Would love to hear from you. Keep up the good work !!!
More like: Why Is Organic Chemistry?
This series started the exact day of my orgo final, which is fitting, because orgo is pain and irony is even better. (Granted I absolutely loved it and the only reason I complain is for the meme)
AAAAAAAAA I AM SO EXCITED FOR THE REST OF THIS
