Hi Amy. Congrats. I love my single jumbo. Even tho I'm 5'9 & wear it mostly crossbody, it's still too long. So I do what most people do, which is tie the chain under the flap ( can use a Chanel ribbon:). It's also way more comfortable with a heavy coat so I tend to use it mostly in Fall/winter. Enjoy!

I was one of those suggesters 😄👍🏻. So glad you found this beauty and have witnessed first hand how much I LIGHTER it is! If you do want to try single flap try using the strap coming out of the inner grommets because the strap will be a few inches shorter. A padded shoulder works well too (winter coats). 😊

Congratulations Amy! Your Single Flap Chanel Jumbo is amazing! I'm so happy that it is comfortable on your shoulder, because I was concerned it might be too heavy for you. I have the M/L Classic Flap in black caviar with silver hardware and it's lightweight as well. I do have to go compact though because of the space. Someday, I'd like to own the Single Flap Jumbo too. I hope your new beauty serves you well for a long, long time:)

FashionablyAmy Amy! I was wondering if you could tell me, does your chain on this bag have an end? I mean, is it one continuous leather piece intertwined into the metal chain? Or can you see where it ends? I can see where my leather ends and it is stitched back into the reverse sides as if to lock the leather into the chain, if that makes sense! Let me know please, just curious to see!

I would never buy used items they might be fake, and the smoke smell not a good sign. Fakes usually smell like smoke.
Good for you, but my bag has been authenticated twice so I don't doubt the authenticity at all. The smoke smell is very faint, it could just have been taken to places where other people smoked.

Congrats on your Jumbo! You found one in near perfect condition! I know you wanted this for awhile now. I think it's a better and longer term choice than the boy. We have the same one I believe the 2009 single flap. I always wondered though, and you probably know why some have the chain holes side by side length wise and some are width wise on the bag? Is that the difference with the double flap possibly?
I answered your question in my recent Q&A #21 video. But short answer is yes the chain grommets are different for the double flap :)

+Alison Uy Hi sweety. My bag was usd $4795 but I've seen single flaps range for under $3k for the vintage model single flaps to just about under $5k for a very excellent condition newer single flap. It all depends on the condition and how old the bag is as well. I believe the single flap was last produced in 2009-2010 so mine was just about as new as it gets. Hope this helps!

Hi Amy! Does your Jumbo have the flat or rounded CC logo? I just bought one and I have the Flat CC logo, it's also a13 series. I know that Chanel changed from flay CCs to rounded CCs within the 13 series batch.
Mine looks like more rounded to me :)

Hi Amy. Congrats! This seems like a great fit for you. The boy doesn't work for me either. I'm 5'2" 101 lbs & also have shoulders issues. Do you know if the M/L comes in a single flap?
Krista K medium also comes in double flap if you buy new one but it is very light. I have jumbo too but it is very heavy because it is a double flap.

As far as I know not in the M/L classic flap, but some seasonal flaps that look similar to the classic flap (not exactly the same but similar look) are single flap so that could be an option :)

Not necessarily bad condition but it definitely means it hasn't retained its original shape as well (perhaps due to poor storage or just frequent usage). Any scuffs or other types of wear otherwise?

+Nina Jen I actually prefer gold hardware for Chanel flaps but for preloved, I went with silver because that was what was available and silver has less chances of tarnishing 😉

i am selling my gf single flap bag on ebay but i have hard time to explain condition of the bag. i need help with vocabulary. if i say the back of the flap has some faint scratches. is that make sense ? or i should say the interior of flap ? please help me.
+gamer555 For selling on eBay, it is best to take very good pictures and as many detail close up as possible, such as corners, front, back, and any obvious scratches or defects. Interior should mean the inside of the bag. Back of the flap sounds like it would be the exterior of the bag but the side against the body.

I joined the private Facebook group and found an item I want to purchase there! My question to you is... how do you ensure that you are not scammed on the group? I know to get the item authenticated and to use Paypal, but does Paypal really protect you from losing your money if the item is a no show or turns out to be fake? I've heard so many horror stories about Paypal not actually being able to help. What do you personally do to protect yourself when buying in the group?

I generally prefer having it but it's really up to you.
