S10+ user here, installing the edge lighting+ from good lock only lights up around the cut out at the time of arrival of a notification(approx 10-15 seconds). LEDs constantly blink until we've seen the notification.
Made the switch from the iPhone 8 Plus, now I am the only person in my family and various friend groups with an Android device. Love the phone, idk why it took me so long to move over to greener pastures (text joke).

I doubt that, if you have been following Samsung for years, they do sort of a 'tick-tock' design. 'Even' numbers to introduce a new design, 'Odd' numbers for the refinement. S4-S5, S6-S7, S8-S9, S10-S11 (If they stick with this numbering scheme or name it differently.)

Samsung isnt completely removing headphone Jack just on the new notes the future s series will still have the headphone jack only reason why they got rid of the headphone Jack's on the notes was to make room for the battery and s pen they won't need to sacrifice headphone jack for space on s series

My Exynox version last me through the day perfectly, im a heavy user, 6hours or plus on screen time, today more than 12 hours from last charge end up the day at 00:00 with 10 percent of the battery. Love 10+ plus.
Most of these reviewers use full brightness and they most likely don't have a regular job, that's why their batteries run down quickly. My s10 plus exynos takes me close to 2 days before I recharge.
Full brightness drains the battery super fast. So if it last 12 hours, WOW that’s amazing. The shitty phone I have right now would be dead in 2-3 hours. I just ordered the S10

First time in history I'm really sad that we have only Exynos version here in Europe, this year Snapdragon is totally superior
Not just this year, last year's Exynos on the GS9 was also a disappointment compared to the SD version
@@brad5248 not that much, single core performance was so much ahead of Snapdragon, that Exynos version was faster in day to day usage (app opening times) and GPU wasn't that far behind, same with ISP and battery life, I'm happy user of Exynos S9+ and I wouldn't trade it for Snapdragon with S10 I would for sure do it

I've got the S10+ Exynos which is the only available model in my country and I do agree with everything you've mentioned. The SD855 version is superior in every category and that's a crime against Exynos costumers. Importing a SD855 S10 didn't make no sense; beside having no warranty it costs like hell. At the end I'm happy with what I've got. But having no other choice than using the inferior product really really sucks!!

5:15 I totally agree. The telephoto camera creates much more natural portraits. I've seen some reviewers complaining of iPhones for example (but not only them) because they don't like the "zoomed portrait" and they want it to be wide. But as you said, the zoom lens portraits look a lot more natural and profesional. Now this is a review I can really appreciate!

I love my S10 plus! It's a great device and I never have to worry about my battery dying on me in the middle of the day. It also does a fantastic job of video recording concerts. On older phones the sounds was always distorted but on my S10 plus the sounds is very clear on my concert video recording. Overall I'm very satisfied with my S10 plus ❤️

Great and very informative video. It must be based on device but I got the Exynos version and I am getting over 36-hours of battery life with over 6-hours of internet and over a day and 7-hours of screen on time. I was a bit concerned prior to the purchase from all the negative comments I read about the battery life but I am pleasantly surprise with my device's performance.
Thanks for confirming the Snapdragon version gives you up to 20% more battery life than the Exynos version.

My S10+ is simply a pleasure to use. It's still blazing fast. The cameras, display & 🔋 are excellent. I usually upgrade every year but not this time around. It's too feature packed to even think about upgrading. This is definitely the best phone I've ever owned!

Loving the review, I love my S10+ (1Tb version!!) such an awesome phone, gaming is great, have not used camera too much, but audio is great when streaming spotify to my car stereo at high quality is amazing!!!Looking forward to night mode!!

Strangely i don't miss either. Would've loved more secure facial recognition, but the UltraSonic fingerprint is pretty dope.
In my opinion the current fingerprint scanner is better. It doesn't show and works better, faster, more secure, when wet, etc. And LED light is now available cause of a software update.
Samsung had to do something special for their 10th Anniversary "S Series Family" ... I have the small S10e and how it replaces my old Standard S7 that had served me as a daily driver for well over three years... With the exception of the screen itself, the S10e takes up the same footprint as the S7! I love everything it does! I hope I have it just as long as the previous one..

@@rehanyawar7207 It's been pretty good ..It does get faster over time because it does learn your fingerprints.But if your fingers are damp or wet ,Forget it .Won't read them But it's definitely gotten more consistent since launch.

I would still be using if note 9 if the zoom camera didn't start malfunctioning. Take note of it.. it's a common problem. It will start to vibrate and the imagine is distorted. I was forced to go s10 damn haha

When it comes to LED for notifications... since S8, Samsung's added EDGE LIGHTING which is super cool for uninterrupted notifications of whatever colour and animation you'd like. Something I personally appreciate in place of the LED at the top.

Samsung has now provided more customizations with the goodluck app. Starting from the cutout lightning notification to the task and notification bar and also you can now quick-access your notification panel without having to swipe down the screen
I still use both Bluetooth and 3.5 mm Jack. Hope they don't get rid of it 😢
They are KNOWN for innovating and remember if they get rid of it they will add the GALAXY BUDS to the box like they did with the fold

They won't: the galaxy fold was a £2000 premium product, a luxury device. If you're paying that much for a phone then it makes sense you get free galaxy buds

The current problem with all smart phones is the "GE" built to break model. To quote an article in the New Yorker magazine "But smart phones are also paramount symbols of product obsolescence-easy to break (though this wasn’t always the case), hard to repair, and constantly being updated. A study in Europe found that the average person disposes of his smart phone after 2.7 years, a service life barely longer than that of T-shirts or flip-flops." I'm ok with paying more for the innovation.
I would be happy to continue to buy new faster phones as they are developed. The problem is 30% literally break the screen prior to being paid for and the batteries have a 12-24 month usable life. I own a $1,000 Samsung phone that is going to be of limited use soon because of the battery. I call BS on the industry. They can keep the "all glass design". Give me the plastic back and a battery that can be removed like the old Note 4. I do not need waterproof either... Let me give the phone to someone who can't afford the product. I will keep buying the best they can make.
I agree in part, but as someone who loved the LG g4, plastic is really a no go for me. Removable batteries aren't a huge deal as a lot of the glass phones can be sent in to have batteries replaced. Plastic is not as good at dispersing heat as metal and glass. Therefore a lot of your innovations would not be possible. Processors would heat up much faster and cameras sensors would heat up too making high fps video and 4k60 hard to do.
Also plastic feels cheap and if you treat your smartphone nicely, it shouldnt be too hard to keep unbroken
Lee, all glass phones need to be in protective cases. I use the tech21 case to prevent breaking the phone. This means that the glass is wrapped in plastic anyway. With regard to battery replacement the phone has so much adhesive keeping it together that it is almost impossible to get it back together when taken apart. The Note 4 had a plastic back and could be used with out any case. This was the last model that I was completely satisfied with. Build to fail in 24 months is the industry business model. Ask anyone who has the first generation Apple headphones that are about to be useless. Thank you for taking the time to comment. I am hoping that the discussion continues and that the market begins to demand a better solution for us.

I've got the S10 version of this phone, and I LOVE the wireless powershare feature! I use it to charge my Gear S3 Frontier over night when I'm out for work or in a hotel, this way I don't have to bring my Gear S3 charging base with me, I just need to pack my S10 and the regular charger.

S10+ is truly great, to this day. That said, Samsung shot itself in the foot when they placed it next to the Note 10+ in the store. I couldn't resist and bought its big brother instead.

The s10 and s10+ actually do have an LED notification light. Just download Edge Lighting+ off of the galaxy shop. Then go to edge lighting in your settings and select Eclipse.
The good lock 2019 gives LED notification light around the cut out
You don't even need good lock, just updating edge lighting + and then you can access it in the Settings>edge lighting
The problem is that not every country has that good lock 2019. In germany for example this app doesnt exist.

@@gsonz172 basically download free/paid vpn then remove your sim card and delete cached data of your galaxy apps then restart your phone. Now connect your vpn to USA or some other supported country and open galaxy apps and search for goodlock you will find it. It worked for me from Belgium
I just swapped my iPhone XS with the Galaxy s10 and this is the best decision I've made! snappy, customizable, best screen, good cam. Just an amazing device overall. S10 is a must.

Im loving my s10 plus(exynos) i have no problem with my games and i can shoot great pics, i rlly do recommend it 😉
If you turn your S10 to night mode and then use a flat black home and lock screen you can save a crap ton of battery. As for the in-screen fingerprint reader… for me a simple small crosshair on the AOD will fix any placement issues. Fingers crossed Samsung put something like it in an update.
Quick open notification is on every samsung's phone.
I'm using s7edge with samsung experience and it can use this feature.
Another thumbs up for this one Saf, hopefully you'll get this dedicated night mode update soon and find out if it's any good compared with the Pixel 3 XL & P30 pro

A request to Samsung! Add face recognition in sunglasses (additional to normal face)!
The in-screen fingerprint sensor doesn't work more than it does, but the face recognition is blazing fast and works in 99% of cases.
Other than that, the S10+ is the first Galaxy since S4 that I love.
Other things that still need to improve: unintended input detection, possibility to use Bixby button to take pics (no, it's not reprogrammable really as the phone as to be unlocked) - this is bc with the volume buttons snapping you will have your fingers in your ultrawide photo, so a full phone flip is necessary first.

Saw a battery drain test between the 2 and Exynos eats up battery life in standby mode like crazy. Snapdragon is more efficient.

@@dohataxtic Oh, no no, its not bad at all. Its just that it would be more convenient/easier-to-use to have the sensor on the back, or to the side of the phone than to have it on the screen. So that you don't have to lift your fingers and put it on the screen.

I've never understood this need to use a plastic/rubber case protector for a phone like the S10+. To me, the plastic/rubber feel makes the whole thing feel cheap. I'd rather get some sort of rustic looking genuine leather case instead. Keeps the premium look as well as protects the phone.
This device is far too sexy to use cheap plastic/rubber.
Just my own little pet peeve.
