  • This swivel mount for the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y will allow you to swivel the center screen towards the driver or passenger. It helps reduce glare as well. The new refreshed Model S and X already have a motorized swivel screen, so this helps bring the Model 3 and Y up to nearly the same level of coolness ;)

Thanks for the tip the other day regarding getting the 30-degree angle for my rotating screen. Finally got the bolt started and finished the project 🙌.

That is an impressive beard sir! Wow it really has a big range of movement once it's in place. We'd still be too nervous to do this. It's a shame they made it soooo much lower.

I would want a swivel mount lifting the screen rather than lowering it.
The screen is too close to my knee as it is, I don't want it any lower.

Can you suggest how to align my Hansshow seviel screen to align the SECOND BOLT to install without having a problem. First bolt went in smoothly and no fighting to tighten down. Second bolt has been kicked my butt to screw in properly 🙃 Any hints appreciated. Thanks

Does it feel like you’re cross threading it, or some other problem? I would probably back up a step and start over. Try removing the good bolt and use the good bolt in the hole that’s causing you problems. Then try the good hole last. Loosen them both to make wiggle room so both bolts go in, then tighten them both.

@BecauseTesla will give that a shot, since the first bolt went in so easy. Was very careful Not to cross thread 2nd bolt, just kept fighting me to go in smoothly.
      Thanks 😊

Test screw in the bolt without the screen or cover attached. I had to do that 2 times before mine actually went together.

Could you flip the mount upside-down to raise the screen instead of lower it?

Erik, this review was upsetting on a few levels. First of all check out RUclips channel Tech Forum. Matt, the owner of Tech Forum lives in McHenry County IL and is our neighbor. He developed these screen mounts and the Chinese have been making cheap knockoffs. I am sure you weren’t aware of Matt and Tech Forum or any of these details and all of this is inadvertent. I have this standard swivel mount on my Model 3 and recently installed his Atlas mount on my wife’s Model Y. Based on your video they are of MUCH higher quality than this Hanshow garbage mount. His Atlas mount is now patented. Matt’s mount also has a cable strain relief that the cheap Hanshow doesn’t have. Plus Matt’s covers done leave gaps and they are ruler level. I love both of Matt’s mounts. They are super high quality and there is no excuses or rationalizations needed for them as you made multiple time for the Hanshow garbage mount. You should check out Matt’s Tech Forum channel and his website. Ask him if he would like you to do an A-B comparison review. But if not I think the right thing to do would be to take this video down. I think it is wrong for an American small businessman like yourself to be promoting cheap low quality blatant knockoffs of products that another American small businessman made that are of much better quality. I have two different mounts from Tech Forum and watched your video. From my personal experience and watching your video it is readily apparent that this Chinese knockoff is a joke. I would encourage everyone to check out Matt’s Tech Forum RUclips channel. Watch his videos. Learn about his mounts. They are high quality and way better than the cheap Chinese ones. Matt is always available by email for support and answers quickly. Thanks. Regards from Glenview, IL.

Matt must've removed the factory protective connector shroud on a previous install - because it wasn't on there when showing the "how to" video of his screen mount. He probably removed it to accommodate for his own protector (cable relief), but it appears that the factory one works better, aftererall, it's factory. Also, I'm all for American made and small business - even If it means paying some extra. However, Matt uses zip ties and velcro to help his mounting.....doesn't exactly translate into "Super High Quality". Giving him the benefit of the doubt I might just buy both, try them, and keep the better one.

@@tonyb3219 Tony, you haven’t watched all of Matt’s install videos. He covers removing the factory plastic shroud in the original install video. By the way, it will not fit with his mounts. He had or has a fabric shroud for his Gen2 swivel side to side only mount. That uses the Velcro tabs to hold the fabric. He may have his 3D printer plastic shroud for the side to side swivel mount. But he definitely has it for his Atlas mount. It fits perfectly with no gaps. He also doesn’t use zip ties in his current mounts. He only showed the zip ties if you did NOT want to use any shroud. But if you are using a shroud there is no use for zip ties. Also you aren’t just paying extra for an American made product. Based on Erik’s video and my experience with the two Tech Forum mounts, the Tech Forum mount is better made, has a strain relief for the cable, has fewer parts, and holds the screen level. It’s a much better product than the cheap Chinese knockoff. Go ahead and watch Matt’s videos for the install of the Lower priced side to side swivel mount and the Atlas mount. The links to the videos are located in the item listing on his shop page. No I don’t work for Matt. I am just about doing the right thing and helping a guy who is working hard to have a business keep his business especially when his product is better than the knockoffs.

Like everything else the Chinese make, they took @TechForum design and copied it and made it a little cheaper. I'd pay an extra 50 to buy from Matt who spent thousands of his own money to come up with the design in the first place. If I buy on of these, I want the screen an inch or two higher, not lower, so that I can see my phone in the charger, makes it more line of site. Holding off till that happens.
