I have been testing the new ATEM 300w solar blanket for the last 3 weeks. Im very surprised in the quality , performance and price. Very good product so far. 👍
Wow mate . I didn’t know they did a 300 watt one . I look forward to your take on it if you happen to do a vid on it . Hope all has been well with you 👍🍻
@@steve9996 haven't had a problem yet. I have actually left it out side for the last 6 months open in all weather conditions just to see how it performs. So far so good
9A from a 200W panel is completely respectable. Think I'll look at the 300W blanket which I'm guessing will get 13A it so. Thanks for doing the review.
@@bearfootbowhunter3054 yeah mate the solar blanket is going really well as I use it at home with my solar setup everyday with no problems 👍. If you are meaning The 50 amp dc to dc charger , I would go redarc mate as with the 2 dc chargers I had they both constantly needed resetting from time to time
I bought a 300W Atem power solar blanket from Malandy Camping and Adventure in Thomastown Victoria for $399 they are made in the same factory where Redarc make theirs.
Wow. Wish I waited a little longer to get the 300 watt. They weren’t available when I got this. You should get good performance out of the 300 👍 . Thanks for watching 👍🍻
I mainly use this as extra panel for my van or when I’m parked under shade . Typical power from this blanket is about 9 amps in perfect conditions. Still going well . Maybe consider the 300 watt for more power as this was the biggest available at time of purchase. Hope this helps and thanks for watching 👍🍻
Hey mate, You mention the highest you've had it pull in it 9A... At what voltage? What's the highest in watts the Victron has shown for the blanket in ideal conditions? Cheers,
G’day mate. From what I can recall voltage was around 18.5 and around 170 watts … sorry can’t really check as I don’t have the panel anymore as somebody wanted it more than me .lol. Thanks for watching 👍🍻
@@EFFICIENTSELF i allways watch your vids so much testing and knowledge and different things.. i have a cfx75dz i have a 140ah agm 300w folding panel i bought a diesel heater.your channel is where i go to see ideas.. so keep them coming
The only downside is the controller wont charge lithium iron batteries or stations for those that dont use a agm dual batt set up.One would need a smart solar controller
The cells won’t be a grade. I was a bit shocked when i saw these results with those panel specifications but I can only put it down to b grade solar cells
@@EFFICIENTSELF If i were to use a 200w or maybe upgrade to a 300w atem blanket, would a victron 75/15 be sufficient for my use? I have no plan to upgrade my solar charging capability into a bigger rig. Solar blanket panels will be my only method of charging for portability. Thanks once again.
The victron 75/15 will be good for the 200 watt blanket but I’m not sure for the 300 watt as you may perhaps need to upgrade to the 100/20. The 20 amp victron as the output of the 300watt blanket could be bit over 15 amps.

I’m in the market for a blanket and have good success with Sunyee so cheers for another great review !
I’ll order me one of these 👍
Thanks . They have these in 300 watt now you probably wanna go for that one . Thanks for watching 👍🍻

Hi there mate have you had anything to do it with the ATEM MPPT SOLAR Controller's if so let now.
No sorry can’t help with that. Thanks for watching 👍🍻
So pretty much this 200w blanket is actually a 120w blanket?
As can be expected with cheaper blankets

Just wandering why the cheaper controller has lithium on it. Is it lithium compatible?
No the controller isn’t lithium compatible its just the battery is capable of taking any charge profile . Thanks for watching 👍🍻
Good review...
How much did you pay though?
Thanks mate . Think was around 230 time I got my 20% off eBay sale these have dropped in price as there is a 300w one out . Thanks for watching 👍🍻
Does the blanket still charges if part of the panels are on shaded area?
Yes it does, at a lower current. Thanks for watching 👍🍻
