One of my roommates back in 87 had a tape of these guys. He was raving about it like he had discovered the Rosetta Stone. I believe they have released at least one album remastered.
It's 2023 and I basically never noticed their appearance in the Decline of Western Civilization. Checked out a bit of the movie again and thought I'd give them a listen. Pretty damn impressive, another band that really should've made it big. The bassist has a killer voice, kickass song, drummer has it together and the guitarist had some nice chops what's not to like? I imagine they owned Detroit back in the 80's.
I saw them at The Token Lounge back in the late 80s. I went down to the Token last December for Battlecross's final show. I joked with the door guy about how I hadn't been there since I saw Seduce then. He chuckled and pointed at them being listed to play a month later.
Idk if it’s because they were in Detroit instead of Southern California, or maybe they were dicks to deal with, but I agree with most people they should’ve been bigger than they were. Maybe they got screwed by a label. Who knows. Back then, things were different.
@@alexhicks5889 no, there's a difference between hard rock and metal. Metal in 1985 was slayer ,bathory,Celtic frost etc. Death and black and thrash metal existed. This is nowhere near those bands this is hard rock plain and simple. I k ow that when people haven't heard metal they think whatever had guitars and drums and an image is metal but it's not.marilyn Manson was never metal...Soundgarden was never metal, seduce was never metal, def Leppard were never metal etc etc .
@@aegisraven1284 Obviously there was a ton of Heavy Metal in the mid 80's that wasn't death or any sub-genre. Headbangers is brutally heavy I think. Back then as a kid seeing this on tv it seemed dangerous as shit and totally badass.
@@fryingfish wrong. This isn't metal it's rock.its not "brutal" you seem to misunderstand me, I like this band but they never considered themselves metal because they're not. I get that uneducated morons think many bands are metal because they haven't heard real metal but there's no reason to keep lying about it after you've been educated. The line between rock and metal is clear and if you can't see it that's just lack of knowledge on the subject.
The best band ever and the best time of my life love you guys thank you for being the nicest guys in the industry
I saw these cats several times growing up in Detroit and I never realized how good they really were....
