I am a hand therapist. You have splinted too distal to The base of the fingers instead of The distal Palmer crease. The patient would not be able to flex their mcpjs fully. This is not a in a POSI (position of safe immobilization).

wrong forearm position. In volar slab forearm should be in supination.
