I can only imagine the overwhelming feel and emotions of walking In Jerusalem. I felt the same the first time I saw DC in person. Places you have read about all your life are there in front of you and you can touch them. My dream is to see Jerusalem in this life, but if God calls me home before, I will see the new Jerusalem. God bless and Shalom
Great video!! I'm delighted that you're back making videos. I love your coverage of both the Jewish perspective and the Christian perspective of history. Keep up the great work!! It's been a lifelong dream of mine to go to Israel, I pray I will make it there!
This was a very educational and fascinating discussion. I think one of the best ways to lead loved ones to Christ is by, if possible, taking them or telling them to visit Israel. In a generation that demands evidence for every walk of life-what better place to be than in the Holy Land? They will experience the Homeland of Jesus, walk where He walked, and tour ancient sites that confirm the Holy Bible.
Danny, big fan ! Thank you for the walk and talk Vlogs in Jerusalem, and the information you give along with the visuals of the archeological sites have truly blessed me and so many others I'm sure. You look like Indiana Jones with the hat ! Thank you so much for the efforts and please keep posting. God Bless you.
It’s not a place, it’s a feeling and spiritual experience unlike anything you feel anywhere else on earth. Throughout the journey, the presence of Jesus abounds. It’s unbelievable the things you feel walking on sidewalks and places where Jesus, the apostles and other Old Testament saints lived and walked. If you’ve never visited this Holy land, you should. Danny, hope things are going well with you. Praying for Israel day and night! ✝️❤️🇺🇸🇮🇱
So many places to go to but not a single one to remember Judas Iscariot, the linchpin of the whole event, because without him, nothing would have happened in that specific time frame of the Passover, and I think he was the follower that Jesus most trusted for such gut wrenching mission. I'm sure that for sometime the memory of the place where he hanged himself was a tradition and then was forgoten, or no one was around to remember. I'm glad you went to see the soil Mr Danny, and I certanily hope you got some as a memorabilia of the place of the Event. As for the authenticity, Eusebius describes what the Romans did to the place and what had to be done to purge the location, the soil was carried away to a great distance, almost like in the ancient times to purge the land, the bones were dug up burned, grrounded to dust and dumped in the Kidron valley. Thank you for the interview.
Shalom Danny! What a wonderful interview with Erik S! I love to hear you teaching as an archaeologist! I value Eric‘s commentary on his site, so having both of you on the RUclips is a real treat! I wanted to let you know that it was a Medsianic Jew, who opened my heart for the love of the Hebrew roots of my Christian faith. His name was ZVI. My understanding is he is no longer living, but I don’t really know. Did you know him? He was a tour guide for Zola Levitt when I visited Israel for the first time in 2003. Please keep your day tour guide job as an archaeologist and also in the meantime, making videos about Israel. Hopefully believers in Jesus will find out about the roots of their Christian faith through you from a such a knowledgeable and kind Jewish man such as you!!! Israel needs all the help she can with nay-sayers about Jews. No anti-semitism here. We stand with Israel!!! Mrs Bez
Erick and Danny connection is so unbeatable, educating us more about of ISRAEL. Both of you and TBN are GOD'S blessing to us that even we are so so far we can learn so well.
Danny, an idea for a series of: Jerusalem and the Holy Land from the eyes of Christianity and Judaism. You can have interviews with Orthodox priests or monastics or theologians, Catholic, Protestant and also rabbis. I think it will be very interesting to see the holy land from the eyes of the various churches , denominations and religions combined with the archeology and history.
Just watching your channel, it is so interesting. I learned in a history course this: 300 years is only approx 5 transfers of the information by word of mouth, from a youth of ten to an adult of 60 years. Such important nfo would not be changed. God Bless you!
Oh the things that will be revealed to us in heaven.. yah, hearing this is fun but heaven!INFORMATION AND KNOWLEDGE WILL BE SHARED WITH ALL WHO HAVE BELIEVED IN HIM, THE SON OF GOD.
Helena found a piece of wood = she found what she believed, based on the healing miracle, was the True Cross. The wood was brought back to Rome and fragments of it are treasured relics all over the world. I myself have venerated one. Do I know if it was THE Cross? Well that's not the point, the point is that I am venerating the true Cross whether that piece of wood is it or not. The testimony collected by Helena though seems credible about the location of the tomb of the Lord. She could see it was a place for a garden. The tomb looks completely different than it originally would and that's the real reason (other than protestant anti-Catholicism) why some people prefer the Garden Tomb: because it still looks like a tomb.
Isaiah 28:20 says for the bed is to short to stretch oneself on , and the covering too narrow to wrap oneself in. and this scripture is talking about the messiah the church of the holy sepulcher does not have any place cut out for the foot, and it is in the old city,, Jesus was crucified outside of the city,, and the garden tomb is outside of the city and does have a place chiseled out and it is at the foot, and its near the place of the skull "Golgotha" love your show.
Church of the Holy Sepulchre is within the Old City walls nowadays, but the present layout of the walls is from 1540 when the muslims restored them. On old maps the Church is outside of the walls.
My husband and I were very skeptical in Nazareth as well. We were being offered "miracle powder," too, and were told some kind of story related to it. I really didn't enjoy that visit in Nazareth.
Am curious to what I heard watch one Messianic Jew ny the name of Rabbi Ziv Porat that the location spot of crucifixion somewhere in mount olives where the head of Goliath brought by king David. The name Goliath is same name of Golgotha? Am ask to Danny the Digger who is archeologist Jew if true than traditional site?
The real places are not known for shore the ones that give me the most trouble are the churches that make a claim to being the authentic place for me it’s faith I don’t need to see Jesus lived in Israel and walked about Jerusalem that is good enough for me
Our taxi driver tried to take us to the Church of the Holy sepulchre but we're not interested because we knew that it was not an authentic site. It is obvious that the best views of the Temple Mount are from this location so the most prestigious are the most rich people would have had their homes in this area. Therefore when the wall was enlarged it would have gone around this area. The evidence on the ground bears this out. The garden tomb has all the right evidence. Plus one that no one talks about. The damaged opening is there for a reason ... It was Joseph of Arimathea's tomb so after Jesus rose from the dead he would not have felt it his place to use the same place where Jesus lay. So he had the bench cut out and removed through the enlarged opening. Someday that bench will be found. God performs miracles all the Time But the authenticating miracle of that story I don't think really happened. That is not God's style in that way at that time. The Bible left a number of clues And they only match up with the Garden site.

I love your discussion with Eric. May God bless your talent and knowledge to share with Jews and Christians alike.
You are a gift from God dear Danny in bringing the bible alive. God bless you.
I love Danny! He's the greatest archeologist and tour guide ever.
Excellent interview. I enjoy all your broadcasts and videos. Good stuff always ! Shalom !
Danny the Digger and Erick, there can't be any better combination when it comes to learning about Israel and archeology.

no other city is like Jerusalem. It 'feels' different.

Archaeology can tell where the walls of the city were in Jesus' time. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre was outside of the pre 70 AD walls.
Guess what he's not there anyhow he has risen😊
Is it true the ark of the covenant has been found? That it is under the foundation of where the temple used to be?
According to tradition the home of Holy Family should be the house in Loretto, Italy... Can that be confirmed archeologically?
nothing in the Bible that states they were in Italy.
@@lindaphillips4246 they were not in Italy back then... The story goes that the house was moved (one way or the other) in late 13th century...
kol k'vod, Danny....

Danny the place that Israel crossed over the Jordan is this known
it's closest to Jerico.
The real places are not known for shore the ones that give me the most trouble are the churches that make a claim to being the authentic place for me it’s faith I don’t need to see Jesus lived in Israel and walked about Jerusalem that is good enough for me
many of those churches have preserved sites that would have been destroyed except for the churches.
