reminds me of rudolve's take on remixing le perv, but executed way different in a uniquely good way (not that it matters)

Do you have any tips for music composition of this genre?
@@meetyourmaker4849 In general, I would say to study songs that you like, and take notes on what makes them sound goo and how complex they are. Learning some basic music theory is always useful no matter what genre you're composing for (for darksynth specifically, learning when to ignore music theory helps too). Beyond that, try not to stop composing partway through a song. I've found that my best work is usually done in one or two sessions. Over time, you'll develop a sense for this; just stick with it!
@@Rudolve I see, I find myself opening music software and hitting a few keys, then closing it immediately. Commitment is very challenging when there is no spark to jumpstart a solid piece.

@@meetyourmaker4849 Sounds like textbook writer's block to me haha. Something I find works for me is to sit in silence for a minute with my DAW open, hands off the keyboard. I try to visualize some scene or aesthetic I want to try to make into a song, then try to imagine what that would sound like. That way, I have something to work towards, instead of just wandering aimlessly through the practically infinite combinations of synth settings and effects in my DAW.

this has always been my edgy fuck it song since i love hotline miami ((besides fahkeet lol)) this captures the same way i felt playing as richter dying a shitload of times till i got gud out of pure rage lol. hotline miami really be the only game thats given me a major adrenaline rush where im so pissed off yet happy to finish a level lol.

Like I've said, I mainly use Serum, but for this one I used Razor. Mainly for the Blueshift preset.
