It is a LOT more complicated than "He is a good guy in the comics". Given the chance, he had the potential to be Clark Kent or Steve Rogers. Black Noir was a terrible idea. It was great writing, but a terrible idea from the think tank. I dont know if seeing the better leash makes me a worse person, or just smarter than the characters.
He is definitely NOT a good guy. Hes just not as bad as you initially think. You could probably make the argument that he wouldnt have turned out how he did had Black Noir not done the things he did. A big part of Homelanders story is that he drives himself mad over not being able to remember doing the things he thought he did (but were actually done by Black Noir). But if you look at the thinks he actually did do.. Like r*ping Starlight, dropping a family from the sky, the plane incident, plus what he did to Maeve... Yep. Definitely not a good person at all.
If Homelander has x-ray vision in the comics.......so what is he actually just really polite and respectful of people's privacy so he NEVER ONCE peeked under Noir's mask? Is this explained at some point?
His x-ray vision is actual x-ray vision. As in he would only have saw Black Noir's skeleton and not his face. Also since Black Noir is stronger than Homelander, any attempt by Homelander to take the mask off when they were kids would probably have been ended by Black Noir breaking Homelander's hand and homelander not pushing the issue.
Homelander is not a good guy, at all. He raped Starlight, he killed a family just because, he killed Queen Maeve, not to mention the passengers on the flight who died because of his negligence. If you want to mention good people, you would have to talk about Queen Maeve, or Deep, they were the least fucked up of The Seven. I don't count Starlight because she is a decent person.
Be that as it may, we can all agree that voight fucked up homelander since he was born. They never treated him as a human being but just a thing, the way his psyche is is due to the trauma physical and mental that was done to him since he was a child. So it's not like he was born evil he never had a chance to be good, so the terrible things that he has done is actually a very human behavior because this is what somewhat Disturbed person would do if they were abused... The only difference is this mentally traumatized Disturbed person has godlike powers. Once upon a Time he was the ant and now he's the magnifying glass
Think god the show went into another direction with Noir... that plot twist is kinda boring honestly and lessens the impact of Homelander's death. Just wish they didn't went with the "Obvious" evil Butcher route... at least not the same way it is done im the comics
Homelander is villian, like his father and black noir. They are so evil. Homelander is probably most close to like antichrist’ish, a lot of pride, for him humans are toys, he has no real feelings towards anything just some imitation of it, he loves destruction, domination and he is filled with anger
Hes definitely not good but the comic version compared to the tv show is about a saint in comparison. Atleast until black noir drove him mad by thinking he did abunch of fucked up shit. The tv show version feels like the end of the comic version, atleast in the comics he tried to be a good hero and mostly killed people through his own incompetence. He was more of a sexual deviant in the comics, in the show that aspect of him was really toned down.
Nah Homelander did a lot of bad shit, but he should have been a dickhead celebrity at best. Instead, after seeing and hearing of horrible things that he apparently did, he assumed that he was just some crazy psychopath. So, he went along with it, believing that was who he was Of course, it was Black Noir doing the most heinous shit, and the ending of the comic pretty much confirms that Homelander was a psychopath by accident. If not for Black Noir's actions, he wouldn't be half as bad as he ended up
I wouldn't say good. He's not as evil as others thinks he is.
"a good guy"? I would say "badly written" I hope he continues well in the show
Be that as it may, we can all agree that voight fucked up homelander since he was born.
Damn homelander had bad aim😂
Hoesntly whats sad about Homelander actually wanted to be a Good guy but Black Noir made sure to corrupt him
Homelander is NOT a good guy. He’s done terrible things, including killing many innocent people. To say otherwise is nothing less than ignorant.
Being a victim does NOT make you good.
Nothing in this clip described anything about homelander being a good guy
Didn’t he force soldierboy to do things with him to be part of the group only he had no intention of adding soldierboy to the group
homelander was just bad bully with mental issues and complexes...
What atrocities besides Butcher’s wife Blacknoir commited ?
Can someone please list Black Noirs crimes? I wanna see if they are as bad as people say ( I don't read the comics)
For fuck sake, why there weren't any spoiler warnings, for fuck sake
Still doesn’t excuse all the atrocities he’s committed. Dudes not a good guy at all
Homelander is evil in the comics. He killed people, families and even sups.
Uh, no he still fcking insane.
So, he went along with it, believing that was who he was
Of course, it was Black Noir doing the most heinous shit, and the ending of the comic pretty much confirms that Homelander was a psychopath by accident. If not for Black Noir's actions, he wouldn't be half as bad as he ended up
Wait in the comic BN kills Homelander? Lol complete turnaround
