It's so interesting to see how other RN's use report sheets. My manager made specific reports sheets for us (SPCU/SICU) & as a newer nurse its been so helpful!! We have epic too!

I’m a nursing assistant, but I’m in nursing school so I’m observant of the other nurses. I can tell you from what I’ve observed you are a freaking good nurse compared to some nurses at my hospital!!! They do not do half of this stuff, even though it is required.
Listen! Lol but at least we get a front row seat for how NOT to be as a nurse.
I find that hiring movers is a bit more expensive but it truly makes the whole process easier.
I work in EVS in ER in Canada and I love hearing what the nurses do . Never gets boring.

I can tell you’re so organized with your report sheets! My hospital doesn’t use epic but we have SBAR report sheets we make for each patient and then a front sheet we use to keep track on medications and to do list type things. You actually inspired me to start making it a habit of writing down my q4 VS, something I should absolutely be doing already bc CNAs forget to tell us stuff sooo much and like you said at the end of the day it’s our responsibility. Thanks for sharing!!!

Thank you so much for putting how you have your report sheet set up. I find it very helpful, my unit uses a different nursing report sheet but it does help to see how others set theirs up. Should definitely do more videos on nursing things again. I'm coming up on my first year of being a nurse and your nursing videos have helped a great deal! 😊

Thank you SO much for your demonstration of how you organize your brain sheets. I just finished my first semester of nursing school in the fall of 2020 & now headed into 2nd semester. I get sooo discouraged seeing all the nurses at clinical so organized & I feel sooooo overwhelmed, and scatter brains like 100% of the time. I love you how you said “It won’t get easier you will simply just get better”, gives me hope that maybe ONE DAY I will have it allll together like this. I would love more videos from you about this kind of stuff though because you really are good at explaining things in a way I like to learn (I’m a list checker too) ☺️

Also, we do Q4 VS for EVERY pt in Med Surg. ICU and the ICU step down do them even more frequently. I wish we did Q8 VS esp for the pt’s who may D/C soon or just have had WNL VS for most of their hospital stay.

I recently moved from Manitoba (CA) to Ontario (CA) I had movers....I was so disappointed with the service. They were rude and a lot of my property was broken and damaged. I am a police officer and I found a lot of my police stuff was damaged too.. about a year after I moved back to Ontario I bought my own home and I decided to move myself. It was a lot of work and I was so tired after but I knew that my stuff was safe and If anything was broken it was because of me. I hope your move goes well. Its always a stressful time but keep your chin up and try to enjoy the new adventure. Stay healthy and safe!!

Re-watching this vlog and just realized where I got the idea for the thermometer I ordered on amazon 😂 love that one, works so well for my residents and very accurate
Do yourself a favor and don’t try to do it ALL on your own. Get a uhaul and pack your own boxes. You can price out and hire movers directly through the uhaul website. Depending on how far you’re moving, you can hire 2 movers for 2-3 hours (longer if you have tons of stuff) for a very reasonable price. You would not believe how quickly movers can load/unload your truck! Hands down the best couple hundred $$ I’ve ever spent, and I will never go back to doing the loading/unloading on my own. If your move is feeling emotional/overwhelming, you will be glad to have one small part go smoothly and quickly. 🧡

I run my dishwasher usually right before bed and then open it so everything dries as soon as I wake up in the morning (or as soon as it goes off if I don’t fall asleep right away) then by the time I am ready to unload it everything is dry.
Get a carbine clip and clip your speaker to you or your kayak.

My dad used to have a floaty keychain for his keys when we were out on the water. I wonder if you could find a larger one to attach to your JBL. That way if you flip you can at least attempt to find/catch your speaker.
