This is so fascinating. I had a hummer nest 8 feet from my breakfast nook in Idaho. No bigger than a 1/2 dollar coin. Ruby Throated Rocky Mountain Hummers. I put a feeder in our weeping birch and attracted many more. They will fight others over the food source.
