Weirdly enough, I feel not knowing Japanese actually provides an extra layer of impact on this particular song. It works as a very literal metaphor for not completely understanding what the other person is trying to tell you. Only after spending some time together (3 mins in this case), at the end of the song the meaning of the "hook" is revealed: "Hello, the hungry wolf has come to give you hell." Is this the "Beauty" realizing that they've been spending time with a "Beast" all along, or understanding that the other person feels internally that they're the Beast, that's a whole another subject for interpretation...

Her voice, the word choices, the story it tells. Everything about it is so deeply enrapturing. My hopes for this MV are at a decent level, because the song will always be so deeply loved by me, but an amazing MV can make it even better. Looking forward to this so much. Thank you Mori! It's fitting that the song from the Your Mori EP that hits the hardest both in the lyrics and how fast the rap is sung has a fitting MV to go along with it; the artwork really invokes some deep feelings, empathy, a little sorrow, but most of all a ton of respect and admiration for being able to weave these words together both beautifully and hard hitting. I loved how it turned out, you did great as usual!

Calli has not only incredible skill for writing lyrics and producing music, Calli has incredible skill for assembling a team of talented indivuduals who put everything into the production of what they're doing. Every MV has shows that, even more so these last few for the Your Mori EP. I love this so much Calli. Bully is a huge banger and got the MV it deserved

Really like how the part that are in Japanese and the parts that are English seem to switch sides for the last verse. Not only does it provide a nice change, and let people who only understand one language know what she's been singing, but I kinda see it as the subject of the song is finally realizing what Calli's been saying, that it was all a lie. A moment of clarity, if you will.
I'm still in awe of how solid the story is you wrote. A self-explanatory translation of feelings into words, that's truly a top work! I imagine the storyteller is moving but not in any direction (imagine standing at exactly the south-most point of the earth, "direction" is meaningless there). I'm, as a listener, being put into an unescapable grey situation but at a breaking point where a black or white decision needs to be made. In any case, keep those heels girl! 1:32 is a super sexy shot (sorrynotsorry)! I love the (character) art.
I love it! The art is god-tier, at times alluring, at times manic, perfectly capturing the story of the song. This song is also my go-to for when I want to listen to a darker-sounding song, and Calli brings home the message with a tone of stand-offish self-hatred. Good work all in all!
It took me far too long to realize this slng is probably about addiction, specifically nicotine. I mean, with a spoken line like "Guess we better light it up." It feels obvious now. But if you start to connect the "bully" language of some abusive lover with the more blatant lines like "I'll give you fire", "I'll give in to this original sin", and "Just keep it to yourself. Helll the hungry wolf has come to give you Hell", you realize that it appears to innocent yet abusive because that's what an addiction is. Something familiar, a desire that's always there and easy to give into, to fall back onto like a twisted lover. And yet the whole time, you "Love the me that's killing you."
Goddamn Calli's MVs are just so amazing. The art, outfits, animations are so top-notch, its insane!! Lights a new fire under a song that I already listened to so many times and improves it again. So good...
The way the MV was made and how it looks is just so much more appealing to me. Maybe it was the art or how the lyrics were in red but it definitely fits. The song itself is amazing and the MV just amplifies it's beauty.
I was about to comment something about Kiara looking at that skeleton and thinking "God I wish that was me" but given their history together according to their lore, there's a good chance she *has* been in that position, multiple times -what a lucky woman-
I love how in western MV’s they go all out and have insane production and cinematography along with multiple sets where as Vtuber’s go all out with the artists production side showing of their INSANE Illustrations and animation integration with absolutely killer graphics like honestly some of these MV’s are just as good if not miles better than some of my fave live action ones! 🔥

I love the way she incorporates Japanese in her rap songs. It reminds me of K'naan and how he incorporates Somali in his own rap songs. This song, in particular...it reminds me of so many other good songs that are too numerous to count. All in all, 10/10 song, Calli. You made a great one like you always do.

I had no idea Mori could do this. Dude. I've been missing out on so much. Hearing her tackle rap god was legendary. I had no idea she was on this level.
I hope it's not bad etiquette to keep commenting to old videos, but some are very important to me and I'd like to express my appreciation. So, I did mention somewhere else that I'm not a big fan of rap, so the question raises "what then are you doing here?" Well, besides the other great things you do, your songs have proven capable to grow on me, sometimes slowly, sometimes a bit faster, and this one is of the latter cases. What I love the most about this song, is the clear contrast between the music and the lyrics. Taken at face value, the latter almost sound like a straight villain song, sung with relish at the abuse caused, gleefully paying good with evil. But then comes the music (along with a couple lines that, at least for me, were easy to miss without a lyrics sheet) sounding melancholic(?)/sorrowful(?), and it turns the whole thing onto its head, producing the beautiful self hate song you describe in your lyrics dive. That has had me fascinated with this song for a while now, and not only it is my current favorite from you, but also one of my favorites from the past few years all around, and now a permanent addition to my daily playlist. Not to mention that the music video is beautiful, and played a big part in me actually sitting down and paying attention to what the song was trying to say. All that to say that: I really love this song, it's shown me how much I have been missing out about your music, and that I will definitely be paying more attention to your discography and future releases from now on.
No Calli song or MV is ever the same. Each one has a different vibe and style, but we still get Calli's unique, verbose delivery and clean flow switch ups. Love it

It's so hard for me to put into words just how much I love this song. Her voice, the word choices, the story it tells. Everything about it is so deeply enrapturing. My hopes for this MV are at a decent level, because the song will always be so deeply loved by me, but an amazing MV can make it even better. Looking forward to this so much. Thank you Mori!

It's fitting that the song from the Your Mori EP that hits the hardest both in the lyrics and how fast the rap is sung has a fitting MV to go along with it; the artwork really invokes some deep feelings, empathy, a little sorrow, but most of all a ton of respect and admiration for being able to weave these words together both beautifully and hard hitting. I loved how it turned out, you did great as usual!

Calli has not only incredible skill for writing lyrics and producing music, Calli has incredible skill for assembling a team of talented indivuduals who put everything into the production of what they're doing. Every MV has shows that, even more so these last few for the Your Mori EP. I love this so much Calli. Bully is a huge banger and got the MV it deserved
She's even pretty damm good at making entire music videos too. But having a team help out makes it realistic with how much she does.

Really like how the part that are in Japanese and the parts that are English seem to switch sides for the last verse. Not only does it provide a nice change, and let people who only understand one language know what she's been singing, but I kinda see it as the subject of the song is finally realizing what Calli's been saying, that it was all a lie. A moment of clarity, if you will.
It's amazing how different each of our dad's songs are and that each and every one of them also has a unique story behind them.
I'm still in awe of how solid the story is you wrote. A self-explanatory translation of feelings into words, that's truly a top work!
I imagine the storyteller is moving but not in any direction (imagine standing at exactly the south-most point of the earth, "direction" is meaningless there). I'm, as a listener, being put into an unescapable grey situation but at a breaking point where a black or white decision needs to be made.

I love it! The art is god-tier, at times alluring, at times manic, perfectly capturing the story of the song. This song is also my go-to for when I want to listen to a darker-sounding song, and Calli brings home the message with a tone of stand-offish self-hatred. Good work all in all!
It took me far too long to realize this slng is probably about addiction, specifically nicotine. I mean, with a spoken line like "Guess we better light it up." It feels obvious now.
But if you start to connect the "bully" language of some abusive lover with the more blatant lines like "I'll give you fire", "I'll give in to this original sin", and "Just keep it to yourself. Helll the hungry wolf has come to give you Hell", you realize that it appears to innocent yet abusive because that's what an addiction is. Something familiar, a desire that's always there and easy to give into, to fall back onto like a twisted lover. And yet the whole time, you "Love the me that's killing you."
Goddamn Calli's MVs are just so amazing. The art, outfits, animations are so top-notch, its insane!!

The way the MV was made and how it looks is just so much more appealing to me. Maybe it was the art or how the lyrics were in red but it definitely fits. The song itself is amazing and the MV just amplifies it's beauty.

@@Someone-sq8im That's mostly part of the reason indie artists typically don't use cinematic MV's. I mean it's not like vtubers can't have cinematic MV's, see stuff like Hololive's recent MV's like Mio's Howling or Watame's Everlasting Soul.
I genuinely prefer the animated MVs to cinema/live action sets. I wish more people would do it...

I hope it's not bad etiquette to keep commenting to old videos, but some are very important to me and I'd like to express my appreciation.
So, I did mention somewhere else that I'm not a big fan of rap, so the question raises "what then are you doing here?"
Well, besides the other great things you do, your songs have proven capable to grow on me, sometimes slowly, sometimes a bit faster, and this one is of the latter cases.
What I love the most about this song, is the clear contrast between the music and the lyrics. Taken at face value, the latter almost sound like a straight villain song, sung with relish at the abuse caused, gleefully paying good with evil. But then comes the music (along with a couple lines that, at least for me, were easy to miss without a lyrics sheet) sounding melancholic(?)/sorrowful(?), and it turns the whole thing onto its head, producing the beautiful self hate song you describe in your lyrics dive.
That has had me fascinated with this song for a while now, and not only it is my current favorite from you, but also one of my favorites from the past few years all around, and now a permanent addition to my daily playlist. Not to mention that the music video is beautiful, and played a big part in me actually sitting down and paying attention to what the song was trying to say.
All that to say that: I really love this song, it's shown me how much I have been missing out about your music, and that I will definitely be paying more attention to your discography and future releases from now on.
