Do you have a part number or better description of the caps you used to cap the steel air tubes coming off the air pump? Because searching for "caps" and "plugs" on automotive parts stores only gives me hundreds of "gas cap" and "spark plug" results. Thanks.
No part number, i just happened to have them. It's gonna be like an Amazon search. Gonna look for hi temp silicone plugs. Or something like that. I know not the best answer. I hope it helps.
They are not label a measurement in the box. So, I'm not sure. I just went though the box till I found one that fit. As if you where trying to guess a nut size and go though your sockets. I know its not the best answer, but hopes this helps.
Literally just found your videos. Wish I did sooner but I have an 88 tbi 318 and want to do the same thing. Does deleting the smog interfere with the computer whatsoever?
For me I still haven't had any issues at all and I have been driving mine daily since the posting of this video. Just an FYI if you do not know. Your year is the 1st done for TBI for the 318, so just be aware of that when you go to do that. But mainly all the TBI cares about is the fuel air mixture and thats it. So as long as you dont yank on the O2 sensor or something on the throttle body. You'll be good.
I have a 1991 w150 and I want to do the delete. I am going to try it with out deleting everything. I just want to plug stuff. My 2 yr plan is to get a newer 318 with some upgrades so deleting everything isn't an issue. Do you have info on the plugs that you can share like website etc.? I currently don't have a cat cuz I had antique plates and in PA no inspections are necessary when you have these plates. Thank you!! Great videos!
Thank you! Glad you found them helpful. Those plugs I got from cerakote. They are just Hi-Temp rubber plugs, I bet you can find them on amazon. I do not know what sized I used. I jest went through my kit till I found which ones that fit. Also, go check out Ramchargercentral.com there is a tone of useful information there & helpful expertise as well. I hope this helps you!
Hey, great video i did my delete a few years ago now but the thing is thirsty as all fuck now I'm constantly chasing problems, the disk on the angle grinder keeps breaking because your using the left side of the disk you should only make contact with the work peice from 12 o'clock to 5 o'clock (right side of the disk)
Awesome! Thanks for the feed back, My grinder is actually broken, it wobbles really hard lol. So I know that is the big reason why the disk break. Now you can head over to ramchargercentral.com/vehicle-help/. They might be able to help you figure out the rest of your issues your having.
Yes perty much the same process. The 360ci is just a larger version of the 318ci. I dont have specific scientific data on how much of an improvement there was. But I have noticed the engine is way happier! Seems to run over all better. I'd assume I at least gained 5 - 15 extra HP at the crank. Since the engine is no longer driving the smog pump and being straight piped, allowing for better flow / evac of exhaust from the cylinders. To summarize marginal performance gains & a happier engine that seems to run smoother. I do recommend replacing the old factory exhaust manifolds. They suck. I plan to remove mine in the near future. That will definitely help with performance. Hopes this helps. If you have any more questions feel free to ask and I'll do my best to answer.
@@mountainmaninitiative1117 I want to do it when I replace my exhaust Im waiting for it to warm up ive got abunch of stuff planned just dont feel like freezing my balls off ripping stuff of the truck that shouldn't have existed in the first place.
hi I just deleted the cat on my ramcharger I dont really have time to mess with all the smog pump stuff wath would you recomend doign with the line goign to the cat now its just disconected but im scare of fuking sonething up
That all depends on the year & engine you have. All the smog pump does it blow air into the C.A.T. and since its no longer doing anything you might as well either take the belt off or remove the pump entirely. you can go to www.ramchargercentral.com/forums/vehicle-help.3/ and ask for more help there.
@olivier olivier Then if you choose to follow what I did. You won't mess it up. Been driving like this for months no issue at all. It doesn't up set the TBI computer at all. The only big thing I'd have concerns about is if you do NOT plug that check valve on the driver side. Since that connects to the back of those old SMOG exhaust manifolds (Bricks as I call them). That might kill some Horsepower and mess with exhaust scavenging. You'll have to test it long term. For the short term test I have done. It didn't seem to matter. Other than man I hope this helps. Go forth and take the Initiative and get her done!
I've been messing with my vacuum lines after pulling the motor. I'm going to be watching your videos for help since I wanted to delete the smog.
Hey Guys, Thank you for Watching! Tell Me what you guys Think!
Did the tbi throw a fit after blocking off the egr and all that, I just cut the belt on my smog pump and it’s just been sitting there for now
@@Ryan-iy5xo Nope did not throw a fit at all. Acted if all was normal.
Did my egr delete on a freshly rebuild engine. This video helped me through it. I'll let you know if she runs good 😂
the washer kit sold for these egr have one that is closed off.
I looks like I have two air pumps powered by the same belt on my 1991 Dodge 360 engine. Do you have any idea what the other pump is for?
I do not, perhaps you have two CAT's and it goes to that one? other than that I have no idea.

@@mountainmaninitiative1117 THANK YOU! That will make it easier. Happy New Year!
You're welcome & you too!
Did you plug the hose connection far rear passenger side on valve cover where you removed the long hose ?
I never removed my tube, but its easily done. Thats why I just simply plugged it. Just to help protect the one way check valve.
I think it's time for a Sawzall purchase, lol.
lol, Perhaps...

Yup which is really easy to do. If i recall correctly thats in part 3 of this series!
You need to ditch the constant metal track in the background.. very distracting..
