I’d love to see who you watch on RUclips. For business stuff, life stuff, a general ‘my favourite RUclips accounts’ type of video.
At some point it would be cool to see a video on how to deal with stagnating growth on RUclips channels (subscriber count, views, etc.)
This actually ties into this video's theme and strategy: I'm really curious about your security/privacy strategy and boundaries online. I know you've mentioned that most of the personal photos in your house don't have IDing info (like I think you mentioned your niblings' photos are all from the back?) so you don't have to worry about accidentally violating their privacy when you're vlogging, for instance. I tend to be a little... uhhhh... oblivious??? lol so for my YT content I have a "set" with no photos or personal info, etc, but I'm really inconsistent on Instagram because I'm super nervous about, say, updating Stories in a more casual setting but WHOOPS there's a flier from my kids' school on the fridge. How do you navigate that? What's private for you vs what do you think is already just out there and not worth worrying about? etc etc. ty so much as always 💙
The amount of people that post their own reels and shorts downloaded from tiktok and do well has me wondering what the outcome would be for you took some of your best reels and post them on tiktok. Not super related but it'll be interesting if something came of it.
I would like to see creation of digital products using Canva if possible. I know you sell digital products and I would like a tutorial from you. Also how to launch a product on social media. Also more blog tips. Personally I would like to see you do some shopping for tech stuff for the Tube or even grocery or home shop once in awhile at least. I really think you're so interesting and emotional, yet you're a go getter and hard working person. Keep up the good work.

Really appreciate this video Cathrin. Thank you! I'd love to be full-time content creator one day. Right now, with family and a full-time job, it's a challenge to keep a regular 3 vids per week schedule going for Let's Plays. I've tried to get some RUclips shorts out every so often, as well as a Facebook and Pinterest post. I'd like to incorporate Instagram and/or TikTok, but it's hard to juggle so many platforms.
It's always a good idea to shadow someone in the position you'd like to be in, and that's what this video is like: shadowing a job that you're interested in. Thanks for sharing! I'd watch more of this type of video in the future, too!

I really like the tip of just filming random clips for use in the future, I feel like I always see a trend and try to plan when I can film it when it would just be easier to film when I am doing something and save it.
Posting six days a week seems crazy to me, maybe because I'm an artist and so my art IS my content, but I hope you're taking care of yourself and being mindful of burnout!

Full time job but spending usually my weekends drawing things and editing to try and do a weekly video. Very difficult especially when trying to fit in hiking and exploring. Great to see what you are doing and highlighting the amount of work that goes into the YT and social media. Glad Fancy seems to be better.
Your video keeps my twin sister and I going that's why we have never given up on our channel.

it's just so much to keep up with comments on my own stuff, dms, and then on hers as well 😭 so I figured to make it less stressful for me, it's best to disable comments and now I feel less pressure with her instagram! it's just for fun anyway 👏 and really for me to look back on all the photos I have of her hahaha

I stay steady with one video a week every friday morning at 7 am. It lets me stay consistent without burning out and every second monday at 5am, i have a podcast that comes out. The only hard thing with my content is that it is all outdoor related so a lot of my videos take more then one day, sometimes a week, to film so it can be a little tight at times but if you manage your time it is very do able....or stay up extremely late the night before to get it published haha

oh I've never filmed and video like this and I don't plan on it BECAUSE it's different for every channel and every niche!! you really need to look at your own analytics and pay attention to the trends in your niche to know what *might* blow up. there are no promises 👏

Best tip so far was to take video clips throughout the day of random stuff and then maybe be able to incorporate it later into a video! Can you also share what video editing software you use? Maybe you already have and I just haven't seen that yet. (I'm a new to you :)
for RUclips I use final cut pro!! I have some videos sharing editing tips using final cut and iMovie is you have a MacBook!

I love the idea of creating content daily but I’m curious, how do you organize everything in your album. I feel overwhelmed with all the content I create and my brain can’t see it all and map it out. It just feels cluttered in my photo album on my phone 😂
Hey Cathrin. Love your videos! Do you edit your stories or do you post them immediately after they are filmed?
How do you get your camera shots to fit into Instagram reels? I’ve tried doing it but mine are always too blown up and get all grainy, since I film my videos in a “landscape” instead of “portrait” is there something specific you do?
I remember in a video a while back, you said that you used to try and grow your IG, but actually your IG grew once your YT grew. That really changed the game for me. Now i focus less on IG and more on RUclips, and I've grown on IG since. As for Tik Tok, i just don't have time for that. And I'm OK with that too. YT and IG are my go-to platforms. When you started chatting about making a reel as a promo for your video, i instantly thought of Sarahs Day too, haha! Do you think that would also work for a smaller creator like me?
oh yayyyy! I'm so glad that strategy helped you! seriously it worked wonders for me and took the pressure off of instagram which is really nice when you're working on multiple platforms. but I definitely think that strategy can work for smaller creators! especially with reels getting picked up by the algorithm, you have a chance of randomly appearing for someone, they like what they see, and they watch your RUclips video! 👏👏

Hey it’s been a while since I’ve been here, but a ton has changed since 2020!! Started on Tiktok and I’ve gotten 230k followers, and am currently making an animation a day while balancing college. Your methods and headspace have helped change me and the way I approach challenges drastically. isn't that just a matter of practice? the more you do it, the less you will say um and like and stuff like that? Also it may help to write down an outline or even script your videos in the beginning, just so you know exactly what to say.
What I've always wondered, Cathrin, is why you only reply to comments in the first half hour?
