In this video, Paul over at World Tour Off Road helps me install my new Tom Woods Driveshafts. In this video, I'll show you the driveshafts in detail, and Paul provides some pro installation tips and a comparison of the factory rzeppa driveshaft to the double cardan or cv joint of the Tom Woods shafts.

Need help deciding which drive shaft is right for you?
If your drive shaft is not properly sized for the tire diameter and differential gear ratio along with how & where you drive, you could experience problems with breaking the universal joints or other components in the drive shaft. We don’t want you to have problems.
The following is our suggestion, which requires a little math and for you to be honest with yourself about where and how you drive.
Use this formula; 20,168 divided by the tire diameter then multiply the result by the gear ratio of the differential. For example 20,168 / 37 = 2,234. If the number you come up with is near 2,500 and you do not beat the vehicle, you should be OK with a 1310 series drive shaft. If you drive it hard, we suggest the 1350 series. If your number happens to be less than 2,200, we strongly suggest the 1350 series.
If your number happens to be 2,500 and you do beat the vehicle but want to save a little money, consider this compromise. Run a 1350 on the rear and the 1310 series on the front. Some compromise can be made on the front drive shaft because when the vehicle is climbing a hill where there is more load on your drive train, the weight of the vehicle tends to transfer towards the rear and the front drive shaft is typically less loaded.

Did he reuse the rubber o-ring that was on transfer case side of the rear drive shaft or Just use rtv?

Great video. Just curious. When I was taking off the pinion nut from the differential flange, mist of my gear oil leaked out. The pinion seal appears to be in good shape, just wondering if that was normal? Also, mine didn’t come with flange nuts😮

Thanks for the content bud. I am wondering, my 2005 WK Limited 5.7L has a very heavy low frequency vibration at 60-80 MPH that seems to come right up into the drivers seat under me. It happens when I'm on the accelerator and stops when I let off. I've already installed the Tom Woods front shaft which fixed the nearly broken joint, so I was wondering if the rear shaft could cause that vibration.
The local Jeep dealer tried to say it was the transfer case and charge me over $3000, but I think they barely looked at it, they totally screwed up twice causing me to tow my Jeep out and fix it myself and I won't use them again. I'm very hesitant to listen to any local mechanics they all seem to just not give a crap. I would gladly consider your suggestions in this situation.

Anyone know how to go about changing the u joints in these? With what front section? Do I need any special tools? I bought a 07 Jeep jk and it has one of these driveshafts in it.

Tommy Wood's has undistubale A1 customer service, ran their 1350's on my '11 JK but when I rolled that rig and got my '13, I decided to go w/ Adam's instead not because they were better per se just better suited for my build...can't go wrong either way.

ApexPredator_JKU better suited in what way? Curious because trying to decide between Adams and Tom Woods.
