A journalist up in the balcony that night said he counted, I think it was, 21 mosh pits). They don't just do concerts, they do whole performances and put on a show ... and the audience is always a big part of the performance. This was also the end of a 90 minute concert - they had been keeping that same energy up without any drop in quality for the whole time. It is what they do - they appreciate people have often paid a lot of money and travelled a long way to see them, they never give anything less than 100% for every song at every concert, whether that is one of their big arena concerts in Japan or at the many various sized venues as they tour the world. About the song itself - 'Road of Resistance' is a very positive song, it isn't the usual "resist the machine or the system etc" that we might expect from the title. It is about forging your own road even where a road doesn't already exist, not necessarily going the easy way or following the path already made by somebody else, so if the way you want to go has never been trodden you may have to get past the resistance of the undergrowth, obstacles, hurdles and things blocking your way etc to find your own way. It could easily be used to describe BABYMETAL's own story - they could have followed the well trodden path of J-Pop and been very successful, but they chose to go with Metal ... but again they didn't just follow the same old format of every other metal band, they have done it their own way and it hasn't always been an easy route to follow. Herman Li and Sam Totman from British power/speed metal band DragonForce did the guitar arrangements for this song (it is the only one they were involved in) and recorded the guitars for the album version. The instrumentalists are called the Kami Band. Kami means god or spirit, so they are the gods of guitar bass and drums summoned from the dead to support BABYMETAL in their live concerts - which is why they were in traditional white burial robes and corpse face paint. Since late 2017 their robes are black and since 2019 the corpse face was replaced with masks (everybody prefers the face paint). The Kami Band are among the very best session musicians to be found in Japan, each one of them a world class musician. They all have their own bands and projects so when one is not available another musician will step in. There have been many Kami Band members over the years, but the same hard core of about 6 musicians have played the vast majority of shows - in this video you saw Leda Cygnus and Takayoshi Ohmura on guitars, BOH on bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums. Since 2019 the Kami Band of the West (American musicians Chris Kelly and CJ Masciantonio on guitars, Clint Tustin (or, standing in for Clint when he was not available, Ryan Neff or Matt Deis) on bass and Anthony Barone on drums) have supported BABYMETAL on the lengthy foreign tours. They have been ever present since April 2023, the Kami Band of the East last appeared in January 2023. You could pick any live performance and you will not be disappointed (the official videos are good too and deserve to be seen, but live is best), they have so many great songs, each one different to the last. I will suggest 'Megitsune' live at PIA Arena April 2023 or live at Legend MM March 2024.

Amazing reaction! This song was so much more epic in person, even though the DC show I went to a few months ago was only ~5K - 6K. We ALL screamed the "Whoah Whoahs"! And there was a sizeable wall of death too, haha. This was a Jan 2015 show, at the height of early Babymetal. 17-year-old stage general Su-metal, and her two 15-year-old lieutenants, Moametal and Yuimetal command a sold-out army of 20K fans on their journey to world domination... through hard-hitting music, uplifting messages, and adrobable demeanor. 🤣 Next suggestion: *Megitsune (Pia Arena MM):* This is a classic that embodies Babymetal as a whole. The "Wall of Death" is more or less mandatory, I´ve watched a lot of videos from very different performances, and almost every crowd pulled off an impressive Wall of Death for "Road of Resistance". I witnessed "Road of Resistance" live in 2023, during their 2023 World Tour. Although it happened at a rather small venue (4k capacity), the Wall of Death was HUGE 😆 The crowd itself demanded it during the intro already, Su-Metal demanded it just to make sure everybody got it 😄 Every live performance of "Road of Resistance" by BABYMETAL is a high octane performance, highest energy from our Queens, the Kami Band, and the crowd. Live every time (mostly :P) the performance and show they put on is just astonishing - and it's SO important as they involve their audience in many of their songs (they're essential) - SO different to MVs. This is the song that got me back to listening to rock music back in 2020. Babymetal is so entertaining. Since you mentioned enjoying anime, you should listen to another Japanese metal band, Lovebites. They are a group of 5 women who are virtuosos at their instruments. They are the best power metal band on the scene right now. They do a song called Winds of Transylvania (VladLove edition) which was specifically written for an anime. For this, I would recommend the music video, but for more songs by them, always watch them live. After that song listen to the song The Hammer of Wrath live at the Knockin at Heavens Gate tour. You won't regret it!

BABYMETAL is great, but the "KAMI band" backing them is the best. The KAMI band at that time was the best in Japan, and I think they were probably world class. "Road of Resistance" is a song by the Japanese Kawaii metal band Babymetal. The song was released worldwide as a digital single on February 1, 2015 by Toy's Factory, serving as the lead single off the international re-release of the album Babymetal, as well the opening track from Metal Resistance. Su-Metal was 10 when she performed with Karen Girls at the SSA (SAITAMA SUPER ARENA). The Arena that night holds about 20000 Babymetal fans but when you see the centrepiece Island and the two curve bridge, it can hold up to 30000 or even up to 40000 depends on the configuration of Babymetal concert for each tour they performed. This song is co-written by Dragonforce with Herman Li and Sam Totman plays the guitar 🎸 solos, but Kami Band live show is brutal and tight. This is a classic Power Metal genre or speed metal as some might refer to. Bands like Dragonforce, Helloween and even Sabaton do power metal genre. Arkadia from Metal Galaxy Album is the successor to Road Of Resistance. At 17 Su-Metal alongside Yuimetal and Moametal who is 15 at that time, gave a perfect 👌 performance on how live show should be. Background and release:-
"Road of Resistance" includes guest appearances by DragonForce guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman.
The song would be used to mark the beginning of the band's lore, Metal Resistance Episode III, at the concert held on November 8, 2014 at O2 Brixton Academy in London, which was also the final tour date for the band's Babymetal World Tour 2014.
A trailer for the song was released on January 5, 2015, integrating footage from the debut performance of the song in London. The song was first released as a digital bonus track off the live album Live at Budokan: Red Night, with limited editions of the album containing a download card with a code to download the song at no additional charge. The song was later released as a dedicated digital single on the iTunes Store on February 1, 2015.
Li and Totman are featured on guitars, although they are listed as featured artists in various regions of the re-release of the album Babymetal, on which the song appears as a bonus track, mainly in the United Kingdom.
Composition:-
Rolling Stone magazine described the song as "power metal" with "shiny pop harmonies". Rock Sound called the song "everything we’d expect from [Babymetal] with a bit of Dragonforce’s exhilarating, flame-fingered guitar added in for good measure." Matt Evans of The List called the song an "empowering hyperspeed anthem". According to Kadokawa, the song consists of twin shred guitars courtesy of Li and Totman, with a dynamic sound derived of melodic speed metal. The lyrics are described as a narrative on the Metal Resistance, which the band adopted on their world tour. It has also been considered the "final stage" of Babymetal and the prologue to Metal Resistance, and a transition performance that demonstrates the band's growth from the previous album.
According to Su-metal, the song refers to the Metal Resistance lore, described as "the story of Babymetal traveling across the world in the hopes of creating a new metal to unify the world as we break through the barriers of language and borders. In the middle of the song there is a part where we go, ‘Wow, Wow’ and this is where our fans from around the world can sing with us at our concerts. I hope people will listen to our album and support us at our shows." Yuimetal stated in an interview with Metal Hammer that "Road of Resistance" is her favorite song from Metal Resistance, explaining that it "has been performed at so many concerts, so a lot of memories are jam-packed. The lyrics are positive, the sound is so cool, and [the] dance is so powerful."

Saitama Super Arena:-
"Saitama Super Arena (さいたまスーパーアリーナ, Saitama Sūpā Arīna) is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in Chūō-ku, Saitama, Saitama Prefecture, Japan. It opened preliminarily on May 5, 2000, and then officially opened on September 1 of the same year. Its spectator capacity is 36,500 at maximum settings,[3] making it the second-largest indoor arena in the world. The main arena capacity is between 19,000 and 22,500".

The arena was designed by Dan Meis, who at the time was working for architecture firm Ellerbe Becket, together with Nikken Sekkei. Meis's design was selected as a result of an international design competition. It is a favorite venue for puroresu (Japanese professional wrestling) and mixed martial arts (MMA). It has also hosted other sports events such as boxing, basketball, volleyball, tennis, ice hockey, and gymnastics. It is the only Japanese arena equipped especially for American football.
It formerly housed the John Lennon Museum, which displayed John Lennon memorabilia and closed in 2010.
