The storytelling for this series is ON POINT 🙌🏼💜 I’m enjoying this story so much 🤗
You should have fished when you were at the Hermits House and saw you needed Fun because you finished the Fishing Aspiration A.) Elliot Likes Fishing so its Fun for him and B.) Due to finishing the aspiration you got a bonus trait that clears negative Moodlets more quickly and you had 2 Sad from Death as well as like 3 other Negative Moodlets.
The outdoor enthusiast aspiration takes awhile to complete. The game is called horse shoes by the way. If you want him to earn money he can do the camping mascot sculpture. He needs to learn it first but selling it on plopsy can make a nice amount. Looking forward to the twins’ story. Always enjoy the videos.
It really does!! I didn't expect it to take this much time. I've been really enjoying the process though! It's so fun to explore parts of the game that I've never seen before! And thanks for the tip on making money, I'll definitely check that out. I always forget we can sell things on Plopsy hahaha
A bit to late, but I recommend the «collectibles ready» mod by Carl to make collecting plants and other collectibles a bit easier 😊 Absolutely loving your videos and binging this series to catch up 😊

I almost always have 4 week seasons in my gameplay and some off the things I have done is make christmas a three day holiday just like in real life (24th to 26th dec) and I split the traditions out over the 3 days so it doesn't feel as stressed having to do it all in one day. Ihave also added newyears day which is a public holiday here in sweden. Need to go in and add more stuff now I realize as I write this. Also I hope you feel better soon!!

I think you've done great with this first generation. I've started off the challenge with base game only and I'm also struggling with the 2 collections I set out to complete in this generation - the frogs and My Sim Trophies. Things don't seem to be respawning in my game so I'm not sure I'll be able to finish them. I'm also limited to 3 worlds since I've disabled all the packs. The spirit of the challenge, to me, is to discover new things about each pack and not necessarily to tick off everything on the list but to use the list as a guide.
I generally increase the lifespans of my Sims using McCmd (currently at 150 days instead of the normal 136 days) and I also usually use 4 week seasons. Right now I don't have seasons in my game and I don't have the option to lengthen the seasons so it doesn't matter. I will say not having to worry about rain is kinda nice! I like the comment below saying that she increases the duration of the holidays - that's a good idea! I'm looking forward to the next episode and then I'll be all caught up!
I have so much catching up to do! I’m not mad about it. I put your videos on and started building for the first time in a while. So thank you for the inspiration. I think I may start doing this challenge.

I totally understand why you would teleport around. It looks like this collecting thing can be super tedious to do. I'm glad I'm behind in my own playthrough so I have an idea of what is to come. I think I might bring a mountain bike to move about faster and bring some portable camping furniture for their needs, just to add some fun roleplay that way. It's a good call to start working on your 2nd gen, they grow up so fast 😅 You might not have finished everything for the 1st gen, but you definitely got to experience it all, and I agree that is what it should be about. Very excited to see you explore the grotto tho. Groetjes!
Officially done with my rewatch! it's all new content for me here on out!
I haven't got any tips on how you can speed things up - a lot of what you are doing I haven't tried yet but I have changed up my calandar. I have 14day seasons and change holidays to suit the household I am playing (I play rotationally). There is a mod that adds more icons for holidays and they really jumpstart ideas for new holidays to add - the mod is by Zerbu - More Selectable Icons. Some I've added are - Simdependence Day, Mother/Fathers Day, Earth Day, Family Day, Bon Fire Night... There are so many and it's fun to come up with new ones. Really enjoying this challenge, seeing so many things I haven't tried.

I'm super late but I've been binging all of your vids. If you haven't discovered it yet, Little Ms Sam has a mod that makes sim seasons 3 weeks long instead of 2 or 4. I set my calendars so each week is an irl month and pick holidays to add to the week that way. I find it spreads them out a bit and makes holidays more manageable.
