Really interesting criteria for a 5-star match, and I like thinking about it from different angles. I think, partly due to how Meltzer and WON, and Cagefight reviewers do it, there's a perception that a 5-star match is all about what happens in the ring, maybe in the building, but there is a lot to be said for a match that draws big money and has a lasting impact on the business in ways that aren't limited to what happens in-ring.

The best matches are simply those that make you feel and get the emotions going. Wrestling IS a soap opera and each match tells a story. Thus, 5 stars surely equates to best acting, loudest crowds, biggest reactions, most memorable moments, best story told with some great moves.

I’m there with you. That’s a great way of looking at it.

I'd like a breakdown of Stevie's time in roh-how he arrived, what he thought of the promotion at the time, what he hoped or knew was planned and why it didn't work out as expected. Roh was my thing back then some great times

I've never put much thought into star ratings. The enjoyment of a match is so subjective. The kind of wrestling you like, the context of the match/feud, the time it took place. There are a lot of variables.
For me it generally comes down to whether I liked the match or not, and while I can certainly rank a match bad, good, great.. if I enjoyed it, then all good.
There are many '5 star' matches that I found boring, whereas some of my favourites could easily be seen as 3 star, or even a 2.
Hulk/Andre and Hulk/Warrior remain two of my favourites, and that comes with a lot of retrospect. I didn't start watching wrestling until 98, and I've seen hundreds of matches that are better as far as flashy moves and all that.. but they just don't compare to those spectacles

I am confused about when Stevie asked if Bulldog got that $3.65 gate tattooed on him
    Then he says
    “Maybe this year”
He does know Davey Boy Smith. Is dead right??
Is that what happened or did I miss something

Wrestlemania 40 supposedly had 145k people in attendance (over the course of two nights). But how many of those people were counted twice?

Shout out to James for mentioning my personal favorite No Way Out 8 man main event on the road to Austin winning the WWF title to cement his position as the face of the WWF while Shawn goes heal up from his back problems.
