Michael Jordan Revenge Game vs Loaded 6x Division Champs who "Shut Michael Jordan Down"

- During a December 1986 game between the Bucks & the Bulls, the Bucks did in fact hold Michael Jordan to 11 points. Jordan had a bad game.
Now, with that being said, the media took that game & ran with it. Don Nelson was a great coach & the Bucks defense was a staple of great NBA basketball for a decade. But the media really put extra focus on that game, as one of their talking points about the Milwaukee Bucks in general. Michael Jordan, of course, you know he heard the chatter. Jordan was constantly on the hunt for more motivation. Was that game a true indication of what Michael Jordan was capable of producing against Milwaukee? No. Michael also has stated numerous times that failures are what helped make him great because he would take failure, learn from it, grow from it, and use it as motivation to improve. Yes, this great Milwaukee Bucks team held Jordan to 11 points, but when the media kept throwing that in MJ's face, you knew he'd take it out on the Bucks themselves.
Also, of major significance, the season series between the Bucks & the Bulls was on the line and the Chicago Bulls had not won the season series with the Bucks, in 10 years. Yes, folks, an entire decade of the Bucks dominating the Bulls leading in to this contest.
Michael clearly came out aggressive early in this contest, and one could conclude, the early aggressiveness may have been related to the "11 points" chatter. As the game went on, however, it became like any other Michael Jordan game... now his team NEEDED him to score, to win. The GOAT would find himself down 12 points, late in the 3rd quarter against a great defensive team. Could Michael respond to the challenge with the task at hand, once again, with his inferior supporting cast? Enjoy the show!

Michael Jordan greatest games series playlist (games in chronological order here): • Michael Jordan's Great...
Blitz Sports Network PSA: Always remember, the individuals who say "Michael Jordan didn't face great competition in his era" are trying to tell you something IMPORTANT. They are trying to tell you that they didn't watch the Michael Jordan era, and there are much better things you could be doing with your time rather than listening to their takes on an era they didn't even watch. Would you go to someone for an opinion on Shakespeare if they had never seen the plays Macbeth, Hamlet, or Othello? Of course you wouldn't. Consider the source. Nobody who watched that era would trash the talent all around the league. Michael Jordan played in a great era with a great blend of fierce competitors, awe inspiring athletes, lock down defenders, knock down shooters, and ultra skilled ballers.
even as a piston fan I’m not afraid to admit mj is the goat and always put on a clinic
Hell yeah I was 9 years old in 1986 watching Air Jordan !!! Jordan was murder in the 1980’s he was cold as hell yo 🥶😎
After watching Michael Jordan play, I don't understand how ANYBODY can compare LBJ to him. You must have to have your head so far up LBJ's #@s to even think he's in the same league. MJ was a MONSTER on defense as well as offense. He had NO WEAKNESSES.
His only weakness was his hairline and he turned that into his iconic bald head.... ;-)
You bring me so many great memories with these videos I am so happy that I was born 1972 and was able to see Michael Jordan live and firsthand my favorite play of all time Michael Jordan they will never be another Michael Jordan and he was just the best will always be the best in my book I feel bad for the people who didn't get to witness Michael Jordan play basketball in his prime it was fantastic he was something phenomenal unbelievable and his basketball skills was unmatched I always tell people his first three four years everybody used to say he can't shoot jump shots then he got a jump shot then they would say he can't lead a team to a championship scoring all those points he gets six of them what a unbelievable mind-blowing talent
So glad to see these memories live . Terry Cummings was a beast and the GOAT overshadowed alot of great players then
It's impressive how other team's announcers rave about Jordan.
In the 95’-96’ season Michael Jordan took over 1500 2Pointers, and the way I understand it, 571 of the 808 makes were from a range between 12-20’.
He shot .506 from 2 Range overall, and total FG% on the year was .495.
Here’s the most astounding thing:
The closest to him that year in the league was Glenn Robinson with 606 makes, only 317 from 12-20’ range.
Michael Jeffrey Jordan is, and always will be the best shooter overall the league has ever seen.
Jordan with his hair and the white shoes. That is 80s Jordan.
Ricky Pierce was a hell of a player too. Very impressive.
I love these videos anybody who thinks Jordan wasn't good watch a game and you will see
Never be another. Others try to be Twenty Three
Fantastic! Very glad I came across this channel. 💥🎯
53 points the day before scoring 50 the next day and also winning. Yea not even close, MJ is by far the greatest of all time
Not many people talk about it, but Michael’s huge hands had a lot to do with his abilities. The basketball in his hand was like a baseball in yours and mine.
13:05-13:25, so glad you edited this in post to add emphasis to Jordan’s movement. One cannot overstate the artful off-the-ball play and incredible, seemingly boundless energy.
Yooo Terry C was a bucket! He would feast in this cupcake 🧁 era

Before the Berto Center, the Bulls practice facility (yes, this is true) was an independent fitness center in Deerfield. I joined up and my first day there was trailing Doug Collins around the indoor track. There was a full court with huge glass windows that the team used. They would close these massive curtains to keep things private. However, they also used the same locker room as the regular club members. What is weird from my standpoint is I never went there hoping to see any of the players. In fact, I only saw MJ once or twice and never dreamt about approaching him (I never did that with celebrities). I was in the locker room with other players only a couple of times. One time, I was by myself and the only other guy in the locker room (and in the same locker row as mine) was Oakley. Well, I had to say something so I offered up that I thought he had a great game the night before. He looked at me and politely said “thanks.”
That's my guy Charlie Neal, a one time sportscaster in Detroit.
8:40 Poetry in motion!😍😍
In watching these early era Jordan games (Thanks BSN!), one can see what separates him all of the other guys people claim are his equal or better than him - his defensive play is beyond elite, and his all around game is nothing less than incredible.
Announcer, your going Need to call Milwaukee Engine Company number 5 to cool off Jordan!! 😂😂😂
Killer suit that guy has on at the beginning there lol. Great game too.
Back when the NBA would played at coliseums.
bulls back then were bums all they had was Mj.
mj had to do it all.
16:33 notice Oakley get immediately benched for silly play. Gets back in & turnover then offensive foul
How I wish I could set up a computer game where these Bucks have to face MJ but with Dream Team One (With all their players in their prime and healthy) backing MJ up!!!! It's like Magic says the Dream Team baby there is only one!!! Lol!!!!🤣🤣🤣
This was a weak Bulls team that would have never made playoffs but they did because they had the best player ever and made improvements year after year until they built a team of champions around him. 👏
Everyone is going to have bad games but shutting MJ down I don't know about all that
Michael Jordan was just to be yet another all star for 10 years or so whose left ankle/knee gave out and he failed to win a championship playing for the worst sports town there is...CHICAGO! but nooooo, he was needed to put Chicago on the map worldwide, and not LA or NY so THE ALMIGHTY took him up under his wings LITERALLY and allowd him to do what he did w/o career ending injury! Ever heard M.J. give thanks for such? BE CAREFUL HE DONT END UP IN HELL FIRE!
BRILLIANT! Thanks so much for sharing these
