I imagine a secondary benefit of the wide handle is the interior doesn't have the two narrow rods down the middle. So more flat space on that side. I do own a pair of Level 8 texture cases (20" carry-on and 24" check-in sized). Seeing this review I'd say they are very similar in build and design with the interior. Maybe a good pair with a duffel, that has no luggae slider, but will sit on top nicely if needed.
I’ve got the larger one in blue. And the handle corners are a bit scuffed by the handle is solid. Makes it easy for my 2.5yr old to sit with his legs through it. Or lean my rucksack on it as pass through straps won’t work. The issue I had was my zipper breaking off and scratching the case badly. But Level8 sent me new zipper ends and pulls which are easy to clip back into position. So far very good customer service.
One important info I was expecting to have your point of view: how this wide handle is impacting the internal of the suite case. I hate the normal handles as they are badly impacting the flate space in the internal suite case. For me, it should be a big win if they have managed it correctly.
Agreed. Was thinking the wider handle would improve / add internal space which is a better pro than maneuverability control. Other than point, great review.
For those folks that complain that the Level 8 doesn’t have compression straps: it’s not a big issue if you pack stuff into compression cubes, first. It’s also not a problem if you just pack stuff on its own, since the mesh creates compression too. 🤷🏻♀️ You’re just “missing” something = the compression straps… that you’re used to while not considering there’s an alternative to it included.
Hello, does anyone in here have experience with this Carry-on while travelling with Eva Airlines? Like are they viable for Eva Air's Carry-on size limits?
This is a win for me. I’d rather have a nice flat interior which will allow me to maximize the space over a luggage pass through ability. I can always use a travel belt like a Cincha to hold my backpack or tote.
I don’t think your video is for the carry on, it’s the Check in. Might want to change the name of the video. Love to know what you think of the carry on.

@@MostlyMMA many people like me travel with a backpack + suitcase, and my backpack has a luggage pass through sleeve on the back which allows it to slide on the handle of the suitcase, so I don't have to wear my pack on my back. Hence, the deal breaker. If you don't travel with a backpack like this, then don't stress about it
And yet Level 8 makes virtually the exact same suitcase with the regular handle but you chose to go totally elsewhere without mentioning this fact. Why?

For sure, I totally missed that
@@samnectar totally missed it - great call!
@@Nomads.Nationyes unfortunately you did. That’s the main point of the wide handle 😊. I was looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it. Oh well.

@@rezaabdulsamad really cool! something I hadn't considered before, but will def apply this to my future luggage reviews 💪
The wide handle sucks. On my first flight today some small chunks were gone because the handle is the corners of the luggage and get hit the most...
thanks for sharing your experience
love the talk about the wide beefy girthy handle

I think with the wider handle makes more room inside and also makes it easier to pack. I like it
this very true!
May I ask, when you move from place to place, can you not use it upright on all four wheels? Instead of leaning it on two wheels?
yes! I mostly use it on 4 wheels
Are you still liking the yellow or would you recommend the solid color?
yellow has been great but does get dirtier easier

What are you saying for suite cases which can be transformed to a backpack? Like Osprey Farpoint Wheels 36
haven't reviewed one, I've heard good things but I question its comfort
Do you want to see the backpack that I'm making? 👉🏼 nomadsnation.com/building-a-backpack
has anyone had any issues with it not fitting the airline dimensions? or issues with it fitting the overhead bin?
Depends on the airline

The handle on this is similar to a suitcase I backed on kickstarter (over a year waiting to get it) called Velo
are they updating you frequently on the progress?
Hey I see you live in Hong Kong - Do you know any local shops that carry this one?
I do not unfortunately

Thanks so much mate!
Theory of Simple reviewed this and said she likes the wideness of the suitcase because it can act as a nightstand. 😆
ha thats awesome
Your links all lead to the Nomatic review.
thanks dude, have fixed
To wide for a luggage pass through. And on that, I would not choose this suitcase.
yea kind of a deal-breaker for me as well
@@Nomads.NationCan you please explain, I was thinking about buying it.
