A couple fancy facts and tips: A chromatic scale is a scale of 12 ascending/descending notes. Making a chromatic should usually require around 48 notes. 3:43 Instead of doing this, to make it quicker, you can right click the tab labeled Track _, and then choose Consolidate track near the bottom. (This will automatically change it into an audio file in the project, with the original samples layered beneath them.) 4:20 Turn the transition knob all the way down to 0%. It cuts out any white noise that may be heard near the end of the note. 4:49 For this, if you want lower notes, then start on C3 and then, when you're finished assembling the chromatic, use slide notes. To use slide notes, press Shift + S on your keyboard and then place a note, then place the note right at the very beginning and drag the slide note all the way to the start. 5:47 If you're a trial mode user, go to the master track, open the Edison plugin, set it to On Input and press play on your newTone chromatic. This will record the audio into Edison, and you can save the audio file from there. 7:12 Please, please, PLEASE make sure they start on the sound bar. Otherwise there is a delay. Additional help: Add Equalization (EQ) to it if you want it to sound cleaner. Add any other audio effects you can find, there are some good ones in Effector. If you're REALLY smart, use third-party stuff to tune your vocals even better! (I suggest Melodyne 5, it's really good but not cheap.) Aaaaaannnddd that's the lot, ya'll! Thanks for reading if you even bothered.
@@StickyBM Use Detect Pitch Region's its really good but if a sample acts weird on the waveform it might add too many Region points and it names each note via its pitch like C5 and from there, there's assign all trigger... notes? I think it's notes and from there move slicex to the right of your screen then start assigning your triggers now each note is on the correct spot on the panio roll! So sorry for stupid grammar too tired and the reason of move it to the right is cause the box that shows each trigger note (since you set them manually which helps you find extra markers) will move but if on the right of the screen it doesn't move but flickers everytime you select a note.

Sticky. You have no idea how helpful this is for me! I’ve been wondering how to do stuff like this for quite some time. And now knowing what to do, it will really help me in the near future. Thanks for this little guide.
5:47 a little thing to note is that trial users cannot save chromatics. however if one simply records the chromatic and then turns that recording into a wav file it will work just fine.
Every time I make a fanmade chromatic for a character, i always start on C4 instead of C3, i think it's better for normal or high voices and C3 it's the best for deep vocals.

I've used almost this exact method for making chromatics from my own voice, however, I always end up with two problems: 1. The vocals sound too quiet/loud/earrape/muffled, and 2. There are these loud sorta "pop" noises at the beginning and end of each voice clip I use Audacity to not only record the voice lines, but also slice and copy them, so that might be the problem for the second point, but idk how to fix the first
1. Are you sure you're recording every sample at the same volume? Like, saying an "A" whispering but a "YU" louder could be the problem. It could be microphone audio quality too. 2. Same, but i think cutting the start of the samples like Sticky said could help
The popping/clicking noises occurr whenever an audio file plays suddenly with no warning. There's a few ways to fix this, but for FNF chromatics, the most ideal one is to add VERY slight amounts of fade-ins/outs on each note.
good tutorial video. here’s another thing, plugins like newtone and newtime don’t work for the trial version of fl studio but here’s something that i do after pitching the vowels: i record the pitched vowels in audacity to be able to slice it in slicex

And i have some interesting vocals, stuff ranging from an ass load of transformers vocals to subnautica ones (reaper, ghost ect.) But its pretty fun making them
