I was hoping that Majima and Kiryu would meet earlier and join forces together; but I guess the way it ended with them bumping into each other in the streets of Kamurocho is a perfect segue to the Yakuza Kiwami. This game, is the best prequel EVER!
I was expecting Majima and Kiryu to meet up, not team together, and just so something stupid in the story mode like Disco Dance or something lol

i think both kuze and awano were physically stronger than shibusawa but shibusawa's mentality made him the most dangerous and thus he was the perfect final boss for kiryu
ya kind of like majima saejima and kiryu majima and saejima probably have more physical strength but kiryu always comes out on top because of his wisdom and mental strength

yes but look at saejima he looks like he has more raw strength than Kiryu Kiryu has strength but also knows how to fight better

It's not about being buff, it's about muscle strength and experience. Kiryu was a yakuza since he was 17. Awano also probably joined at a young age, and Kuze was a boxer before. Shibusawa looks like he was a pro in karate or something.

Well.....knowing the Yakuza 1st game plot they would have to tragically kill her or sth to make her dissapear for the next game so it kinda makes sense since it's a prequel. Maybe they will make a "What if..." game where they get a happy ending together and he doesn't also go Mad :P

Man, I don't know why but the final chapter's summary always gets me:
"Yet, with Kamurocho all but crushed under Dojima's fist, the yakuza chain of power stands to be broken by two men, who must act upon their ideals and ascend into the halls of legend."

I still find it criminal that Kuze's final boss battle didn't get a dynamic intro
It's meant to be a parallel of the first time you fight him. For their final clash it's not meant to be all dramatic and flashy, instead you're just two guys punching it out and showing your resolves to live.

This game's ending made me cry, it's officially the 2nd Yakuza game to do that which is why I consider it to be the best in the series along with Yakuza 2.

Am I the only one who teared up when Makoto found the watch? Like yes that's supposed to be a happy thing because Majima got her watch fixed and left it there for her, but idk, maybe it's was just because it was like 6am and I got extra emotional or something lol

my god I'd argue this is one of the best stories for a ps4 game period along side god of war. the way this game pulls on your heart strings is just spectacular. everything from the bizarre substories to the cast of memorable characters, I'm astonished this game still holds up to this day.

Excellent Walkthrough. There was a balance between the story and some secondary ones. I did not get bored at any time. Also, you play very well.
(I emphasize all this because I tried to watch many other RUclips channels and none of them convinced me. Either they played badly or they were very slow).
I started watching this because I wanted to go to Like a Dragon understanding the lore. But it made me want to play some of the action-focused games. So if I can't find the money to buy them, surely watch the rest of the series.

Does anyone else think that Majima knew Omi assassins would kill Sagawa after that conversation? He referenced death and never merting again, and his last words to him were pretty conclusive.
I would go as far as to say Omi assassins approached Majima to lure Sagawa into a trap.

If u think about it, dojima had all the cards, he could’ve won easily if he made sure makoto is dead. However, his lieutenant fucked him by not killing makoto when he had the chance, and that gave kiryu time to go save makoto. Dojima could’ve won if shibusawa didn’t fuck with the plan. OR if shibusawa didn’t wait and just killed makoto directly.
The only thing I'm confused by is that Sera had the perfect opportunity to just buy the empty lot from Makoto when he took her from Majima and Sagawa only halfway through the game.
I think it’s because the plan was for Tachibana to have it, but after he dies Sera has to take the land, idk tho
@@mac3615 But in the hospital scene, he tells Majima that ultimately, even via Tachibana, it would come to him (Tachibana would sell it to him).. doesn't make sense this roundabout way though

My game crashed as soon as I reached Kiryu and Nishki's scene, at this point I was too sad n happy to finish that I just didn't care, and just came here to finish it off. Oh well, kiwami time
this game makes me realize how great the graphics are. the particles? eh, thats a...different story, since judgements looks absolutely beautiful, but this game has some damn convincing graphics. like the boat fight! that area makes you feel cozy since its a nice welcoming boat, but really there is probably the single most important event that kiryu ever took to become the dragon of dojima. this game is hella good.

AzureDragon97 It is indeed Persona Q. Beware though, the dungeon crawling harkens back to the Etrian Odyssey series, whereas the combat is Persona themed.

devilleon7 I've only gotten into the Yakuza series because of an unfinished walkthrough of Yakuza 3 but ever since then I've only ever watched the boss fights of the Yakuza games and never really SEEN the story so this kind of thing was nice to watch. I'd love to see you do a walkthrough of the other games in the series but it's always up to you! I still am very much looking forward to future uploads!!!
AzureDragon97 yeah it's from Persona Q, it's a pretty good game, but it's basically a persona themed Etrian Odyssey game. The dungeon crawling and battles are very similar to EO but it's with our favorite characters from both Persona 3 and 4. I recommend it if you're just looking for a game to play on the 3DS.

I just finished Yakuza 0 and on kiwami right now, just realized that Keiji had 3 to 4 styles similar to Kiryu's in the end. Quite Fascinating

Really late and possibly wrong, but I assume that the idea was that it would look a lot better on paper if it went through a legitimate real estate agency rather than a direct transfer. That, or Sera was aware that Tachibana and Makoto were related from the start and wanted them to meet, and doing it this way ensured they'd meet. OR, maybe Sera wanted to lay low for as long as possible to prevent Dojima from starting a civil war, and using an "unrelated" real estate agency was the best way to do it. Maybe it was all of the above? Or maybe Kazama was getting a little crazy in jail?
Hey devilleon7, I have just beat the game and I have a question: Why did the Omi Alliance kill Sagawa???
Sagawa was the retainer of the Omi Chairman. Sagawa is also known to be Shimano's oath brother. Omi chairman happens to get shot by Shimano with Sagawa standing by, Sagawa also was the one who let Majima pass by with a gun in his hand. In the eyes of the Omi Alliance, that's straight up betrayal and/or an incompetent fuckup (most likely the former), they'd want Sagawa to pay with his life for the Chairman's death.
