I've been a JG fan for a long time now, ever since Passionflower first showed up over a decade ago on YT. Gloria is special, personally. This was the song my wife and I had our first dance to at our wedding. We're coming up on 10 years married this year, 2 kids together, and still this song is magic.
I can tell from the comments that it's the first time many people have heard this song. THANKS so much to everyone who's shared it and helped me get some of my best music into people's ears. That was the whole point, I feel validated! After 24 hours it reached 68,000 views across Facebook and RUclips, which is insane! Thankyou thankyou thankyou. It really translates into sales and new fans for me. It's vital in my lifelong struggle to avoid getting a real job. :D Speaking of which, the Pay What You Want single download, album pre-order and guitar tab are all available exclusively at jongomm.com/store
You are my favorite musician!! Your voice, your lyrics, the alternate strumming patterns, your rythmic beatings on the guitar, those down/up tunes?? You are fucking amazing! where, how, who taught you this style? I myself am an aspiring musician/promoter. I am part of The Crowded Couch, where we put on art shows, featuring acoustic acts, and varying abstract musicians. Our mission is to provide comfort and a community like atmosphere to everyone on and off the stage. music is still and art form, right? This summer we are putting on a block patty with Counter Culture of Saginaw, here in Bay City, Michigan. I was wondering how much would we have to pay to have you here? lol please contact me at my personal email blab424.bl@gmail.com if you are interested. it would truly be an honor to have you.
I beg you Jon, never stop playing. Your music is my candle in the dark amidst the infinite blackness. You captured our hearts and made us all fall in love with you and Wilma's beautiful cascading cacophonies of splendor! More of this as soon as humanly possible.
this is the biggest and best distraction ever, as soon as this comes on on youtube all i want to do is watch and listen to your music and it stops me in my tracks. This is the best music on the internet, not a word of a joke, you own that title. Absolutely incredible. Perfect music.
This version feels so much more mature. You added a lot of new elements and sounds to the song. Somehow you made it even more beautiful! This is one of my favorite songs and you just made it better! Love you, Jon
I saw Jon play this unplugged at the end of his gig in the pizza express club in Maidstone maybe 3/4 years ago. It was stunning and it turned me into this song forever more. Creates such a clear image for me
This slower version felt really soulful and I found myself tearing up while singing along. I really felt the song and love your performance. You and Wilma keep playing strong!
I absolutely fell in love with your music! My boyfriend played "everything" and "passionflower" for me while we were laying in bed talking in the dark...PERFECTION! Thank you for making such beautiful music! The world needs more of it! Come to NEW MEXICO!!! lol
4:30 Truly one of my favorite lines of the entire song... the bitter resentment and sorrow displayed in that minor scale-down displays such a deep emotion in this song.. can’t help but tear up. Absolutely stunning, Jon.
I was at your concert in Munich yesterday. It was fantastic. You absolutely made my day. Thank you very much for your music, your passion and your british humor! All the best for you Jon!
Man this song just makes me feel reminiscent...and it's my first time hearing it lol...idk it just gives me this calming sense of home and love...like if you bottled up the essence of a home town first love
Hands down the most interesting percussive guitarist around - he is a real bona fide musician into the bargain - his sense of melody harmony and rhythm are next level. Love it!

Hey Jon, you played the Roisin Dubh in Galway, Ireland a couple of years back. We need another fix! This song brings me back to my working class, suburban upbringing in the UK. You're a poet Jon. Thanks.
Incredible song, one of the best I've heard in a very long while, made my week. Great voice and the melody sounds so pure. Outstanding technique to boot, I play guitar as well (30+ yrs now) and salute you all the way from Brazil, Jon. Thanks for making beautiful music like this, you absolutely rock. All the best
i like his music because its the kind of music that u have to stop what are you doing to keep listening its not just ambiental music its complex and fullfil the senses so to apreciate it need to focus its very funny i feel this with anika niles too , thank you once again jon for the experience of your art :D greetigs from chile
"It's fine" he says. And so it is! My fave JG track. Probably one of your most accessible too, but deceptive for all that. All of the masterful trickery is in there, but you don't really notice coz the tune is crackin' and the melody catchy, and the lyrics... ok, shutting up now. But don't forget to come to Dublin!
Phenomenal Jon very deep. You're very inspiring to me, your lyrics have meaning. Not written by a greedy rich producer creating excuses for musicians. Out of this world
Fantastic story, beautiful choice of key, percussion that's perfect and a voice fit to sing in heaven. Thank you for your gift... Your music stirs the soul. Cheers Sir!
I've been waiting for your next video! I've been listening ever since I first found passion flower a couple of years ago, you never cease to amaze me. Brilliant work! Keep it up =]
that song make's me really feel all that I have inside of my kids heart, kids feelings, it is a so beatuiful peace of composition, thank you, I really liked
Love this song! I like the slowed down version, gives it sort of a nostalgic feel. One of my favourites that you played live when I saw you in Manchester!
Awesome video Jon. It's haunting my thoughts all day... and I like it!! I'm your biggest fan in Independence Oregon. I work at the rogue farm hop yard and I play your music for the hops! Great tasting beer requires happy hops! You rock.
I really wish I knew this song before my wedding... would be a perfect fit for that day... apart from the last part, it's absolutely relatable. This song's so damn beautiful, dude.
5:55 😂😂😂 you are so amazing, funny too. Yeehawww. 😂😂😂 an inspiration, my favorite artist. I hope yourlifelong struggle to avoid getting real job is no longer a struggle.
Hi Jon ! I am a musician too . Just wanted to tell you what an inspiration you are . Your songs are beautifully written musically and lyrically , and your guitar skills are amazing . The world need more musicians like you , thank you for your art ! :)
Great video, love the more relaxed pace of the song, allows the contours of the song to be better heard. And a huge congrats on achieving 100,000 subs. Hugely deserved.
I saw you and Antoine Dufour at Brundenell Social Club in Leeds last week and I admit I had mostly come to see Antoine as he's a hero of mine and I wasn't that familiar with your music but you were both absolutely incredible. When you played this completely acoustic at the end of the show I just remember losing all sense of time and being completely entranced by your performance and the atmosphere. I really hope I get the chance to see you live again soon, keep up the amazing work!
I really hope that someday i´ll be able to at least play 1/3 of all you can do Jon, im really in love with your music and you really inspire my to study music and guitar. I just started playing one year ago, but i think im finally making some progress. Best wishes from Argentina!!

That slide-esque sound you get with the bend is magical.
Still one of the greatest songs ive ever heard. Please come to Australia, Jon 🙏
I saw Jon play this unplugged at the end of his gig in the pizza express club in Maidstone maybe 3/4 years ago. It was stunning and it turned me into this song forever more. Creates such a clear image for me
Masterful composition, beautiful lyrics!

Richard Thanks Richard. I guess I'm getting more nostalgic, I tend to bring out a different side of this song nowadays.
I literally don't think I've ever listened to this song and not had tears start to trickle down, and I've listened to it many many times...
"I don't need no food" is such a good line for a love song! :)

Saw you play this live and unplugged last night at Komedia. Probably the most special gig experience I've ever had. Thanks so much
4:30 Truly one of my favorite lines of the entire song... the bitter resentment and sorrow displayed in that minor scale-down displays such a deep emotion in this song.. can’t help but tear up. Absolutely stunning, Jon.

Found this randomly...searching for G.L.O.R.I.A. Glad I did! I am loving that guitar technique...and the song is really really nice!!! Sharing!
So much soul from this guy. It's great.
Killer musician.
Incredible playing and beautiful song . I could listen to this all day . You are up there with Tommy Emmanuel in terms of talent
OJParry High praise indeed!
The thing I love about Jon Gomm is he makes you feel all his emotions through the music.
Esquire FalconHunter That's my entire aim. :)
Sort of the antithesis of "Everything," yet also tear-jerkingly beautiful. You continue to blow me away, Jon -- you are an amazing talent.
No way for me not to enjoy each and every one of Jon's performances.
I was at your concert in Munich yesterday. It was fantastic. You absolutely made my day. Thank you very much for your music, your passion and your british humor! All the best for you Jon!
Love this tune, Jon, absolutely beautiful. Hope you're having a fantastic summer!
