I suggest you give the user a refresh token so they don’t get logged out every hour. Also, be careful what you show of your backend, I think you exposed your password and jwt secret
Thanks for the tip I really appreciate it! It actually probably looks a bit out of place because of how we structured the development. I’m doing the full stack where I focus on the back end and make sure it’s functional on the front end, and then our front end developer takes over and styles everything. So chunks that he didn’t get to yet will likely look a bit out of place.
Don't burn out...working too intensely can hurt your project, causing mistakes, coding issues, etc. I would suggest that you limit your project hours to no more than 5 days a week, 8 hours a day. Think of off-time relaxing as essential to the success to your project.
Hey man, I am from Rwanda in Africa and this is very inspiring, I loved how you are passionate about coding to the extent you dream codes 😄😃😃 , it happens to me sometimes too. I am a Junior front-end developer and I am hoping to be good at it and eventually become a full-stack developer.

I dream of programmer job hope i make to the end! Great video man. Can you really show what videos did you watch to learn the stack and build projects and even acing interviews, it will be a great help. I am a fresher trying to learn to code but confused with many videos. Eagerly waiting for reply and a video. Thank you :)
@@SWErikCodes Thank you once again and also try to include as early as possible since i am in 2nd year i want to grab a internship by next summer(may) :)
Great Work Erik. You are really inspiring. I just want to ask are you building serverless? I saw your backend is in Java what roles is Java and firebase playing?
Whether or not its server less needs to be evaluated (would need to deploy it on serverless networks like vercel and AWS). Right now it’s a spring boot api connecting to our NextJS front end. Supbase is the database and firebase for the real time messaging and photo uploads
you're putting in some serious hours-26 in just two days! I'm interested in your tech stack-are you using Spring Security or Supabase for authentication? Since you're using Next.js just for the frontend, have you thought about switching to React? Next.js has some great features like routing and code splitting, but if you don't need those, React might be simpler and more lightweight. With your goal to launch before the new semester, focusing on a consistent user experience across devices is key. Users often prefer native apps, but you could save time by going the PWA route. Turning your site into a PWA could give you that native app feel without having to build a separate mobile app, helping you meet your launch deadline for the new students. Great video BTW .
@davidbakare827 thank you! I’m using spring for authentication through jwt and verification codes. We’ve thought of NextJS vs ReactJS and ultimately decided next just edges it due to server side rendering leading to seo optimization. And could you further explain that PWA route? Im very interested to hear more
I appreciate your perspective. I’m curious, what kind of experiences or differentiators do you think would help a marketplace type app stand out then? Either way, every great company has to start somewhere so I’m hoping this is the start of something special.
Hey man, keep up with the coding and documentary journey. It makes me feel like I am not the only one going through this grind

Hey man, wonderful work. Just a tip that you should use a component library to keep the ui consistent, right now it looks a bit out of place

Is the $50M valuation from funding valuations?
Why's it called empor?
Short for emporium, which means marketplace
