tnx man i was looking for a good tutorial tnx
great insight as always! you're officially my role model for the programming world. I really dislike coding, but you make me keep up and improve.
Yoo
The only reason your getting interviews is because you have social media audience
thought u were talking bout counter strike
Whats that app u used in ipad?
Yes even I want to know
Notability
Aren't you missing a S?? 😅
CS degrees aren't really meant for those jobs. They're for people wanting to design hardware, complex algorithms, operating systems. You know, the hard shit that you need hard math for. If you just wanna be a frontend dev, you're better off with a training program.
Guy learns difference between software engineering degree and CS degree
Wrong. If you want to do backend or dev ops development you learn web dev. The only CS class that will be useful there is data structures and algorithms. Computer Science, like the name says, is for science, where you're in the low-level messing with memory with a language like C or even directly with the assembler instructions. That's where the science and innovation happens. But science and innovation isn't that lucrative, so most companies don't care about that. If you want to get hired, learn python and javascript, make some web apps and put them on github. You take a CS class when you want to master computers and understand how it all truly works. But again, that's not where the money is. That's for the true enthusiasts, the people who code for fun.
What if im a fresher so i dont have any type of experience
Check out my recent video on my resume! Should help you out
if youre applying to grad school, your gpa unfortunately does indeed matter

New homepage is on point
I so hate doing the designs for the mobile version, great video
i don't understand why do people think with only a degree can make them have good job. i mean you get into that major because you want to deepen your skill and a degree is merely just to make you notable the fact you're skilled in that major.
can you tell me how to integrate this with a front end?
Run the server locally (or host it) and make a request to your exposed login method!
Great video! Thanks bro..👏Just one thing want to clarify that the github repository "simplify" which you have mentioned during the end of the video for getting job or internship , is it also helpful for the Asian students pursuing their career in their home country in Asia?...If no then are there any other github repositories for this purpose?
It’s honestly mostly for North American roles! I don’t have too much experience with jobs in Asia but maybe somebody can help you out
nice vid explained every bit :)
Glad it helped!
Any tips for landing the very first internship? I listed my clubs, projects, skills, and even some scholarships just to pad everything out to one page; I can't really put anything in work experience apart from manual labor related jobs... I've been cold applying to many companies over the past couple of months, but I wanted to know if there was a better way of getting call backs?
You can get some experience by doing “freelance development” for some small companies or a friend (worked for me). Also when u have no experience, networking is by far the best way to land something
you got any tips specifically for applying to swe internships in Canada? anything to avoid
Not much difference it’s all the same, but just know Canadian internships open up much later than the American ones
@@SWErikCodes thanks i was kinda losing hope
@wvyabhi don’t lose hope, even if you don’t get an internship this summer it doesn’t mean too much. Everyone has their own path to success
@@SWErikCodes thanks man
Can you please put your resume in the github cuz the one you have on there now is pretty old
Yes! Will update the code within a day
@@SWErikCodes thank you that helps a lot
@@SWErikCodes hey erik could you please update the latex code
Watching united can’t helpnowadays😒
It doesn’t for sure 😔
Your resume is a sample resume lol
I switched to CS last spring semester and I feel so behind. I’ve already done a few projects but with no previous SWE intern experienced I feel so cooked. I pray I land something this summer 🙏😭
You got this!
@ thanks bro
Thank u bro
Of course 🤝
Keep up the good work
Thank you!
this kid gives a lot of absolute advice for someone with some dog water internships (gov and some company no one has ever heard of)
Just wait until I can announce where I’m working this Winter + Summer… but yes the entire point of the video is my resume template itself is what’s carrying me not the experience. Makes the video a lot more relatable to 99% of those looking for a job!
You CS majors are pretentious as hell, hating on someone just cause they have no “super big name” companies on their resume. No wonder why people hate CS majors, cause folks like YOU are unbearable
Mate it’s at least something, some people don’t even get a single internship
Good advice bro
Appreciate it!
Bro's whole youtube plan is how to build a resume how to apply for faang vlog repeat
Correction, my entire channel is sharing my personal advice as someone in the exact same position as the thousands out there that need guidance! In my opinion the advice I could offer as a candidate for 2025 jobs is much more relatable than someone who got a job back in 2020 when they hired anyone with a pulse that could write a few lines of code. I also teach others how to code (so far predominantly Java + spring boot) and I’m in the process of building a hopefully successful startup (which I release behind the scenes vlogs on which are pretty sick so subscribe 💪)
@SWErikCodes good luck man❤️🔥
Great video man!
Glad you liked it!
this was a great video
Appreciate it!
i'm not gonna put the first comment on a video negatively. Someone say some nice things i got some things to say
Haha this made me laugh. Just drop it I’m ready
go on
I did@@juscoding
@SWErikCodes nice
Your best bet is an internship to full time conversion. Good luck.
LOL, some of the worst and most self confident advice I’ve heard in a long time Reminds me of someone else who is extremely self confident and won’t most of the times. I think it was called ChatGPT
Where are the channel names ??
Im in cybersecurity chillin
How’s the job market in cybersecurity? Is it anything like what’s in the video?
@@aceofaces1506 yeah good question. I'm considering going into cybersec, from what I've heard it pays well and is something i like a lot
@@aceofaces1506 no
@@aceofaces1506 cybersecurity is a good market however there are 2 cybersecurity experts for 1000 developers in a company so idk about demand vs supply
What backpack are you using may I know please?
Timbuk2
In Germany his Nike pullover looks like the logo of a right party.
How do you come up with ideas for startups?
And you just dont need to work at a Faang company. There are still options like startups or small scale companies that can give a good looking salary for managing your life.
If you're a fresh grad and expecting to work at faang, you're delusional lol.
Bro I watched some of your videos and I am fascinated by many things you do but the most fascinating thing is you not getting burnt out while doing this things. Could you please tell me how you do it bc I get burnt out many times learning how to code everyday. (and if you are asking no unfortunately I rarely touch grass bc of lack of time)
Ul get there soon trust❤
Good stuff, I am 19 and this just motivated me to make my own startup. Can't wait to see your journey
Love to hear it!
1. Be actually good. If you're good, companies will be looking for you and begging you to work for them, not the other way around. Interviews? Lol, lmao even.
Awful😂
Hy @SWErikCodes, hope you can answer me Why is there a separate endpoint for a verification, shouldn't the token be generated/verified as soon as someone logs in ? Is it just a simulation of how it works in the background ?
