I am planning a trip to Mexico next year with my family of four in my home built sprinter and have been devouring many of these van life videos. This has been one of my favorites so far. While I enjoy watching the beautiful young RUclipsrs in their swimwear galavanting on the beaches of Mexico it was nice to get one video so chocked full of useful information. Thanks so much.

I have a "garbage bag" toilet how plentiful are dumpsters to dispose of the bags? Much like picking-up after a dog in the little bag...
      Safe Travels guys!

Most fuel stations don't have garbage or very small garbage cans. In towns we have seen a lot of garbage barrels. Some of our favorite beach camp spots are paid spots that included garbage pickup. We have stayed at a couple other boondocking with garbage bins as well.

One food item that is 3 to 4 times more expensive is mixed nuts. We also had a hard time finding margarita mix in local stores. We also had water concerns upfront but purified water is everywhere.

Agreed about the nuts. We loved making margarita from scratch. And fell in love with the canned Paloma drink NewMex. :)

Hello. Just realize to watch and see them fill up your tank and se what amount it adds up to as they can press a button and it jumps to a higher amount as this happened to me in Bacalar . Great informative video . Safe travels

great info here - I'm planning a trip to Baja next month. Would you recommend the Mexicalli crossing? Also - my solar setup/orientation, "rack" and rack system is identical to yours (plus one panel).

We feel Mexicali is easier especially for getting a FMM. Here is a short about crossing in Mexicali and where the FMM office is.
What Happens When You Cross the Border Into Mexico?
ruclips.net/user/shortsK4BlrIk9lak we are talking about adding one more panel to our rack. :) have a great trip.

You two are brave brave souls. I would not go anywhere near Mexico. Those drug cartels can appear from anywhere and kidnap you.

Thankfully we haven’t been kidnapped yet or shot at while in the states. We love life to the fullest every day without fear.

You joined YT a month ago and this is what you comment? I can only assume you live in the States. I'm more worried about getting shot by some lunatic in the States than getting kidnapped in Baja by these mythical boogeymen...
