That's beautiful sunrise at the beginning of the video! Wow! BTW do you have the duel alternator van? Glad you are posting videos again.

Amazing videos!!! Is the heated flooring all you guys use to heat the van? I saw another video you guys made and said the heated floors heats the whole van maybe?

Thank you!! We actually use a heatsource 2000 propane heater too (and more often). But we really only ever need it in the mornings to get us out of bed - the lowest temps we’ve stayed in have been like low 30s F overnight.

Nice spot. Beach days in the van definitely hit differently.
We just subscribed and we'll be following along! Hope to cross paths with you guys out here 🥳

Looks like a beautiful area. So the whole electrical system not being capable of sustaining you guys boon docking... in hindsight, what do you wish was different or would you do differently on another build to improve?
    Bigger battery bank?
    More efficient 24v bank?
    More solar panel wattage?
    Not as robust of fridge/freezer?
Very curious because we are about to start our first build and your experience here was a bit of a wake up call.
Thanks for the great videos on the build, guys and Mike, the detailed sharing of the process, challenges, etc

This happened mainly because we fell asleep with our inverter on (with the StarLink on) so it ran all night and ran down our batteries. Combined with the fact that we only had sun until like 3 pm at this spot so we didn’t get a good chance to recharge. So usually our battery bank can support us boondocking but it does get low at times (like if we are parked for several days and have a lot of cloud cover).
But that said in a perfect world I think we would love to have more solar and one more battery (we have 400 watts solar and 500 amp hours of batteries). But we didn’t have a ton of room on our roof due to our AC and wanting a roof deck. Van building is always a compromise!

@@britandmike Thanks for the reply! Yeah, I've followed most of the build and knew what you had so was surprised. I am planning on 800 ah of batteries, possibly as a 24v system and either 800 or 900w of solar panels (either two 400w or three 300w). You've done a great job on the build.

Great video guys. Curious - why don't you hook up to shore power somewhere?

Re: Anxiety travelling in Mexico 🇲🇽.
That's why they call it an adventure. You have to Relax & Let the adventure happen. What will be, will be ! Just make sure you Video it. Keep those battery's charged. if You are expecting perfectly paved roads in mexico, You are vastly mistaken. i'd be more like expecting a Paved road in crappy condition & mainly dirt roads. Have some friends in sa jose del cabo. out a washboard road for miles. Mexico is Not california. if u want security & no anxiety , Mexico is NOT the place for you. Dirt roads & Anything goes in mexico 🇲🇽. Mexico is not the place to be safe.
    1) Practice changing a Flat tire on the Van. Make sure you guys can do it. Make sure all the tire tools work before you need them.
    2) You might want to install a Cb Radio.
    3) Maybe get star- link.i 'm thinking it's kind of a Necessity For Your kind of Travelling lifestyle.

Aren’t your complaints what some might call first world problems? Just saying.
