Hi! 0:30 Gangos house. This is a type of building built before World War I. The word gang is of German origin and means corridor. "Gangos house" is a house with suspended corridors. At that time, the developing industry required many people, for whom such houses were built. There was running water, a sewer, but toilets were only in the corridors or in the courtyard for common use... The interior spaces were high, because they were lit with candles and oil lamps, and heated with coal. This way, the oxygen in the room did not run out. This was the standard construction until the introduction of electric lighting. The buildings were mostly extended upwards with new floors. In this case, a ledge was built on the facade between the old and the new part. But there were also cases when several houses were connected. The people in the cave came up with the idea of making a huge cake out of straw and putting it in front of the cave. The Mongols saw this and thought there was a lot of food in the cave, so they left. 19:12 Soviet monument. Originally it commemorates the Soviet soldiers who occupied Budapest. The special thing about Szigetvár is that the greatest ruler of the Ottoman Empire (the predecessor of Turkey) died here. His real grave was found a few years ago, but for now there are too many problems to carry out a full research. Eger is an inevitable part of Hungarian historical consciousness. Here, the superpower of the time, the Ottoman Empire, was defeated for the first time. In addition, there is an authentic description of the defense of the castle.
