  • Surfaces can be used to define faces of a part, as a splitting tool, or as construction geometry to match position, curvature, or tangency.
    Carefully layout sketches, images, and other surfaces when starting a model to identify where important surfaces and curves need to be defined.
    Break down the part geometry into manageable sections, including modeling half or a quarter of a model when creating symmetric parts.
    Constrain underlying curves to match the same constraints as the surface.

    I fundamentally disagree with the over constraint of curves thinking. In many scenarios, and for faster working, I’d be happier if Onshape produced the higher degree of continuity at the cost of following sketch geometry, especially as undulating sketch geometry can be tricky and time consuming to create. I wouldn’t mind my curves being overridden basically.
