I think I should be honest here. I don't think of past boyfriends when I listen to this. I think of my abusive mother and how me and my husband are getting through the shit she left behind. and all the drama she has been trying to bring back into our lives. Yet me and him are still together and he got me out of that hell hole and we are moving forward with our lives happily as she falls away slowly. that's why I like this song.
