I love watching people falling in love with Nightwish. Their shows are outstanding, the full blast of emotion and power, something to remember for a lifetime… unfortunately they will not be touring for the next myybe even years. Saw Floor in one of her soloconcerts, too. Very different, almost intimate, compared to NW. I Hope she comes back to germany and to your country soon

The theatre "director" is the master of it all, Tuomas on the keyboards. He composes most of the music, writes the poetic lyrics, and he loves movie sound tracks. His music incorporates classical elements, theatrical and movie production values from the dedicated Nightwish team, with the symphonies and choirs he has recorded for the backing music complementing what he plays on the keyboards with the other band members.

The title of the issue is taken from a 2009 book by evolutionary biologist and atheist writer Richard Dawkins, about the evidence for biological evolution. Dawkins also contributes to the album. Holopainen explained to HMV in March 2015: "I wrote him a letter a little over a year ago and explained what ideas we had for this album, mainly about evolution. Since one of the songs goes straight to one of his books, it felt like a perfect match to try and recite him on the album. A few weeks later, he sent me an email accepting the invitation."
"Later in 2014, we recorded his parts at Hats Off Studios, Oxford. This is a huge honour for us, as Dawkins is one of our greatest heroes and his writings have been a huge inspiration for the album."

I had already listened to Iron Maiden albums in the 80s, but it was really Nightwish that attracted me to Metal, I didn't think this musical genre could be like that. But actually, there are plenty of subgenres in Metal, I think you can find something there that you will like.

I loved this video the first time I saw it, and was in total awe of the band, Floor, and the story that it told.
This was how I first heard Nightwish, thanks to a RUclips suggestion,
after I listened to some epic sounding instrumental music one day.
I have since seen them live virtually in 2021 and at a live show in 2022.
btw, There are documentary episodes about the creation of the album and show.
Regarding confidence. This is three years later, but also this song was composed after she joined the bend.
I think the Tampere 2015 performance of this song was much better but I understand that people keep suggesting this version because of Dawkins coming to the stage in the end.
The man speaking at the end of the show was Richard Dawkins, an evolutionary biologist (who among other things created the therm "meme" - as an opposite to gene), with the words of one Charles Darwin...

What you don't know is that the one who makes the set decisions is the composer, the "Metal Mozart" himself, Mr. Tuomas Holopainen. He is the keyboardist of the band, and writes almost all of their music.
This song is his magnum opus, arguably his greatest work. Tuomas takes 14.8 billion years, including 4.6 billion years, of both universal and Earth history, and boils it down into a 24-minute masterpiece.
That being said, some might even say that this song is a love song to Earth and its people, about this planet and the universe. Because how else could one think about the following?

Previously, I subscribed to the channel only after the third reaction video to the performances of Nightwish or Floor Jansen and unsubscribed (stopped subscribing) if these reactions became less than 2 within a month or at least less than 10 in a year. I am not at all interested in all sorts of freaks like Dimash or Akhudinov or the ugly howls of Ramstein or rap's pig-talking .

Well said😅🤟 you said so easily those things that I have been thinking with numerous other reaction channels who do the reactions to all those u listed...nothing bad against them, and easy to see how "freaky" talented for example Dimash is. Freak of the nature. But my respect towards Nightwish is something different. I bet Nightwish has more to offer than Dimash. Ofc they been allmost 30 years, but they are
they are a much deeper phenomenon, although the similarities with Dimash are the musical talent, but nightwish is about composition, the compatibility of other musicians and singers and their interpretation of the music of a genius composer and lyricist..
