Man those old Triumphs are just classy looking machines. I would love to see you guys do a Triumph history series like you did with the Indians that would be great.

I love my 1969 Daytona it’s the same colour as the one you had back in the day. 🇬🇧🇺🇸✊👍

Toured on one of these cross country in1981 a 1970 model all black what a beautiful machine. So much vibration your hands and feet would tingle for an hour after you got off the bike lol I loved that bike. No wind screen no luggage rack just a duffel bag bungeed corded down and went.

I left Kentucky on a rd 350 with a duffel bag bungee to the seat and crossed 3 states back in the 80s. It was very fun.

Every time I restore a motorcycle that's what I'm doing. Turning back the clock not only on the motorcycle but on myself as well. taking myself back to those Glory days. It's a spiritual thing that I don't think a lot of people get. A renewal of mind and body as well as machine.

A “Story time” would be an awesome series. Sounds like you have tons of stories about you and your pops!

Yeah I had two heroes when I was growing up. My dad and Evel Knievel... In that order.

I so much enjoyed listening to the story. I have stories about triumphs myself. as a matter of fact the first motorcycle I ever worked on I was 10 years old and it was a triumph T100 that had been turned into a chopper. God I still remember every single detail about that bike to this day. It belonged to my friend's dad and we always hung out in his garage while he messed with it. He let me change the spark plugs. And then he let us polish all the chrome while he told us all about the carburetors and the engine and everything. God now I'm getting choked up about it. You're totally right. Motorcycles are time machines that take us to a better time. I hope to God when I die I get to ride a bike to the pearly Gates and beyond.

What a channel! Been watching you guys for over 2 years now. Absolutely brilliant. A real passion for all things motorbikes! This is one of the reasons why I've cancelled this ridiculous tv licence we have in the UK to prop up the propaganda machine called the BBC! All the best from the UK

Hey guys I absolutely love that 72 Daytona 500! it has to be the best looking color scheme I have seen yet, and in my opinion with the bike being original with patina you guys did the right thing not restoring it, I am so glad you guys did not do a new paint job, thank you guys, she is absolutely gorgeous exactly how she is...

RIP Gary Nixon. I made the mistake of mentioning to him I wanted some Dunlops for a Honda flat-tracker I was building. He didn’t have any my size but kept calling me for a couple of years to see if I needed something else. That same tenacity he applied to racing.

The Daytona 500 was one of Triumphs best! I have had a Tr5t since 1975, which used the same engine in a BSA b50 frame, excellent bikes!

Hi there from across the pond in the UK, I very nearly bought a 69 Daytona it was a brand new on a stand in the middle of a bike show room called Gray,s of Wolverhampton a mear 30 miles from where it was manufactured, I used to view it every few days and trying to work out funds to buy it but sadly never did.
Great video you produced here with your experiences of Triumphs, ride safe👍

Love to see these old bikes kept as they were without a complete frame off restoration, I want a bike that looks 50 years old, not a trailer queen.
