    Beautiful Tiger I had 750 Bonnie back in the 70s we had Triumphs and Norton’s we rode all over New England back then great handling bikes I have a 750 Guzzi now another great bike but I need to find me a nice 500 Triumph now!❤

    You've got 350 exhaust down pipes on there, which are a smaller bore than the 500, great looking bike though.

    A bit late to the party but hi from Cambridge UK. I’m buying one of these when I find the right one with the express purpose of clocking up some serious miles around Europe. I decided on a T100 for the ease of maintenance on the roadside. I agree with your assertion that this is possibly the best package to leave the Meriden works. Thanks for the video. 👍

    Had a trophy 250 in '67 but rode a T100 for awhile. ❤❤❤. Would kill for 1 now.😊

    Lovely bike. Early Triumphs run in my family, T110, 650 Thunderbird and Bonneville. Sounded wonderful as you were driving off at the end.

    Great video and info thanks. Love the 500s too. You've said nothing I disagree with! Dont know if you mentioned in video but the 500s can also be identified by gear indicator. Enjoy the summer buddy.

    S/W Ohio here, we had 3 hazy days of your fires smoke. It looked like early morning fog all 3 days. The rain cleared it out

    I love the 500s, mine is a 1968 Daytona T100T and I love it. Cheers for the video 👍🇬🇧

      The 500 Daytona is basically a baby, Bonneville with twin carbs bigger inlet valves and high compression pistons if that helps. 🇬🇧👍

      @@Makris_Amaliada Sorry mate am not a Triumph expert. But if you get in touch with the Triumph owners club, and or the National Motorcycle Museum I’m sure they’ll be able to help you. They have some of the original factory records Because there’s that many variations and colour combinations I sometimes wonder if Triumph made it up as they went along. The previous owner of my Daytona was a member of The Vintage Motorcycle Club and provided me with a statement of search to establish date of manufacture of frame and engine. So I have all the exact information including the first date it was registered and the dealership. Hope that helps. Martin🇬🇧

    Nice video, great-looking and sounding bike. I was considering getting one for riding round the local back-roads earlier this year but plumped for a Laverda 500 instead.

      @@brucegoldsmith3721 yup, after a bit of fetlling to clean the carbs and fuel taps, de-rust the tank and put on fresh plugs, fluids and a new front tyre it's starting reliably and proving to be a lot of fun

    i bought a vw camper van sabotaged the same way but with pieces of brass put in through the plug holes that wrecked the valves etc

    Japanese bikes are more reliable, they’re faster and sometimes less expensive. But there has never been a Japanese bike as beautiful as this Triumph. I had a ‘78 T140V that I really liked. Sold it to buy a ‘78 (used) H-D FXE when I got caught up in the Big Twin craze.

    A 500 is fast enough and doesn't vibrate so much that things fall off or crack.

      Lol! 😀 No, the accent is a blend of maritime drawls, mostly south shore Nova Scotia. :)

    Where do you get your parts for these bikes? I inherited a 1966 T100SC that I plan on restoring after I finish my Shadow build so I am curious where to look.

      British Cycle Supply, Walridge Motors, Burtons, Motoparts, Steadfast cycle and ebay..... the list is very long, but these are my Triumph go-to sources.

    Modern Triumphs are built somewhere in the far east!..
    I would not touch one..
    At least the Norton's are made in England!..

    Machined back to standard size what are you talking about the only way back to standard size is new sleeves pressed in, and thanks for giving some clown ideas how to fuck up a motor ...

      That's what I meant if course... it's been machined to accept 'off the shelf' sleeves, then the sleeves machined to the standard sized bore.
