Yeah, I've loved the lead break on the album since it first came out! He's obviously the guitarist in "Trouble" as well, I'm guessing? Probably him in the clean tone lead break in "No One Comes Close" with the descending sequence of arpeggios at the end. Some fantastic musicianship on that album and Age of Reason too with that classy piano break.
Brett's solo. David's arrangement. Angus's drumming. Could you imagine having an orchestra at your disposal? The talent behind you. This concert is epic.
I’m wondering this too…. There has been some suggestion that ‘playing to win’ is mostly a programmed midi track that David wrote and put together himself, to which the band and keytar player play along with and the keytar part isn’t as complex as it sounds due to this, and I’m thinking it’s the same with this song….there’s a synth sound in the track but he appears to be playing a drum part or similar 🤔
Truly exceptional and hugely underrated
This song is so much better live. When I visited Tassie as a kid back in 1999, I swear I heard this still on rotation on Triple J.
Great song, and what a brilliant guitar solo by Brett Garsed. Brett still plays in the Farnham band today.
Adrian Rickards one of the most underated guitarist
Have you ever seen him play? Brett Garsed is a brilliant guitarist!!
absolutely that's why I said that. He deserves to be on the top

Still amazes me he hits a high F# in full voice at 2.05
Really F#? Epic.. never knew his voice extended that far..

Bret "Rambo" Garced (Guitar), 1 minute 31 seconds of pure genius
I wish I had a dollar for every time I watched that guitar solo back in 1987 (and after).
My fave song off the album after You're the Voice of course, but still a fantastic number, especially the brass section!
Great song, great memories!! Long live the mighty Brett Garsed!
John is The G.O.A.T!(greatest of all time!). 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗him
I love the huge camera in the guitar. Brett always perfect.
..or as it was known back then: "a tiny camera" XD
MONSTER SOLO ... what a beast !
John Farnham is the best.
Brett you are the best be far.. and at 2.06 that top note from john.. WOW!
One of Johns best for mine
Brett Garsed is easily one of the worlds great guitar players. The solo is a screamer!. What a shame he's not more widely known.
saw this back then --- still love it
this is my fav guitar solo its awesome
Bret "Rambo" Garced, monster guitar solo...
Gotta love the "brasstards" 😂
Australiana at it's best!!!...which means we can do anything at it's worst!
What exactly is David playing on the keys?
