I'm 70, live in Fla, retired, 84X16 Manufactured home on big fenced in lot out in the country, wife of 47 years, 2 dogs but you...are a great part of my life, THANKS!!!!!!!
Thanks for taking us along. As a person that values my alone time like nothing else, I can truly understand your appreciation for it. Part of me wishes I were out on the road...but I do love my work and here in Ontario it's *cold* outside! Enjoy....
This is definitely one of my favorite videos you have made! Thank you for putting the effort into making this. I hope we can see some more videos like this in the future. As always, your content is appreciated. 💕
You Westerners are blessed with all the open spaces. Looking forward to "Dump" video. I bought my RV last Nov. already winterized. Today's high 15°F with a strong wind.
Thanks Carolyn, I really appreciate your vlogs. After a crazy stressful day at work. I really love watching you living the life that makes you so happy. Maybe, someday, I will be as brave as you. Please keep doing what you do.
Thank you, Carolyn, for these great videos. I get ideas from these videos on so many things (locations, RV know-how, etc). Funny thing, when you said you lost your signal, my signal here at home went out at exactly the same moment! I live in the boonies, so internet signal is always sketchy at best. Thanks again for your time and effort to help the rest of us who are sitting back here at home:( All the best to you & Capone. I love watching your videos and enjoy your spirit.
Omgosh Carolyn did you see the skull on the mountain face when you turned around and you were facing and then as you were pulling away it was so awesome I wonder if anybody else noticed it I always see patterns and faces in the sky and mountains and a floor I'm walking on or even when I've been in a restroom looking at the back of a door my mom used to say it was my artist in me anyways as always I love you videos give Capone a hug for me... Blessed Be ..Mother Earth protect you me and the crazy shih tzus
I'm so glad you gal's mentioned this. I had to go back and watch again, but did see it that time. So cool. Sharon Gypsy Dove, I do that too! My mother said that it comes from a vivid imagination. LOL. Once when we were traveling when I was a very young child I saw an angry boys face on a boulder on the side of the road. We were on a four lane highway and had to go quite a distance both ways to go back to that spot but my dad did go back! He was the only one other than me in our family of 5 to see the face in the rock (created simply by the shape of the rock.) He photographed it and he had slides made of all our vacation pictures. So whenever we showed the slides to family that picture would come up and still only Dad and I could see it. Years later when I first saw the Calvin & Hobbes cartoon I recognized the angry little boy I had seen in the large rock!!!!! So at least one other person had been able to see it - the cartoon's creator!!!!!!
I guess I should confess that I don't have to be at home for too much longer. Doing a 30+ day trip following the Lewis & Clark trail from St Louis to Astoria, OR. Then back across the top side of the U.S.for another 30 days. I hope to be out by myself just like you are tonight and enjoy that solitude and the great big skies of the desert. Thanks again for sharing your life with us!
Thanks for sharing. I forgot what it was like tearing down camp. We have not been able to go anywhere in about 3 years because of my brothers cancer and my sister passing last year with her cancer. We are planning on going this year and looking for a camper in the next month. Enjoy your time alone.
Hi Caroline, fantastic video again, and thanks heaps for granting my wish of seeing you and Capone doing you daily routine including meals. Big Hugs from Australia
Great video and editing. I really enjoyed the day with you on your journey. I like the new camp site you have with the fire. Thanks for the great vlog.
I wish I could do the things you do, but over here in Britain. The country is just too darned small ( though very beautiful in many parts ). I guess the varied landscape makes up for the petite landmass. The rich history of Britain, which many people strangely seem to be uninterested in, makes for fascinating journeys away from the well trodden tracks . When you find yourself deep in the countryside, well away from the hustle and bustle of the 21st century, a magical experience can befall you. I believe it is possible to drive from one end of Britain to the other in about 14 hours, ( I could be wrong ). It would take clear roads to hit that sort of time scale, and our motorways do get congested. I like travelling in a car that meanders along quiet country lanes, visiting the backwaters and villages that make Britain a fascinating and intriguing place. Ancient ruins, castles, and the ilk, are a particular favourite of mine. One day I would love to travel across the vast open spaces that the USA has to offer, but little old Britain will suffice for now, with its quirky and fascinating history. The smallness of the country belies the rich variety of scenery, and I love it. Happy travels to you, and best wishes, Richard.
Love the cut to 12:54 with you sitting outside by the fire. There is something about being alone out in nature that is so soothing. The stress falls away. The pressure and weight of society's norm's rolls of the shoulders. What a great scene- you in black with your red hair and the fire's flames in darkness for as far as you can see. I could have sat here for hours listening to you talk while watching that fire. I could feel your stress levels lower sitting outside in the wide open space at night. How wonderful it must feel to be out there. That is my dream, too, Carolyn. I hope that some day I'm lucky enough to meet you on the road. Love you!
Really good video!! Thanks for taking us along with you. You often give good information on what to find and what to expect for an independent woman traveler, and it's much appreciated. Someday I hope to meet you on the road.
Love that fire. Looks very inviting. Also like the way Capone lays his chin on top of the front dash looking so relaxed. Thanks for the website and tips.
Great video. Thanks for taking us along.. still trying to convince hubby that we should become wandering nomads. Noise and clutter and people energize him while they drain me so I have my work cut out for me.
An absolutely beautiful, relaxed, heartfelt vlog. I feel good about your RV, you look very relaxed after so much stress_the fire is beautiful_as well as you. What a cool place.
Carolyn's RV Life Thanks for continuing to make videos for us and sharing so much with us. I'm sure others get that feeling of living vicariously thru you, just as I do. Your set up looks very good in the sense that you don't have much to do to be road ready.
Very informative. Some people think this lifestyle is all fun things, they don't realize it is a lifestyle, and we have things we have to do that are sometimes a little hum drum just like anyone else. This is a great lifestyle but it helps when people come into it with realistic expectations. Keep up the good work, sis. I hope to see you out there again, or maybe at RTR 2019 if we don't cross paths sooner!
Thanks for taking the time to bring us along for a day with You and the King of the Road Capone. I can tell he really loves his traveling dog house!! smiles Great video felt like we were right there with you. Keep on Keeping on
Hi, after sending you an email I watched more of your videos and in one of them you talked about stopping drinking. In the email I sent to you I told you I felt a connection with you. Possibly it's because I'm going on 21 years of sobriety myself. I'm still trying to sell my car so I can get another car to tow behind my RV. Also still packing up my house and need to find a renter before I can hit the road. I purchased the RV the end of October and had no idea it would take so long before I would be able to leave. Seems like it's taking forever to get things in order :-( I hope you and Capone enjoy your Serenity and solitude... Love the fire :-)
Congrats on your sobriety and your decision to hit the road! I'm excited for you. I am doing my best to respond to emails, but I am a few weeks behind!! Thank you for writing! - C
Well done C, as usual :-) Interesting footage, super-useful info, even good choices in music! Your life continues to make me envious but also glad for you and Capone. Btw, my dogs thank you for Capone's whining and input!!! How they love hearing dogs giving their perspective on things LOL. Thanks for sharing!
Carolyn, thank you for the great information that you continue to share.... as for me / a total newbie... I am so very grateful for you sharing your knowledge.... when I start hopefully this summer... following all of this info that you just shared.......... Thank you very much
I absolutely love the moonless nights because of how much I get to see all the colors in the Milky Way. Most people don't understand what I mean when I say that I miss seeing the stars when I'm in the city.
When I was growing up on Long Island (NY), used Christmas trees were stacked and used to stabilize the dunes. They were also used to provide homes for wildlife .As long as there's no tinsel, or flocked snow sprayed on them, it's environmentally sound. When I homesteaded in Northern NH, everyone dumped their used trees into my pasture, where my sheep and goats ate them. Fresh evergreens are rich in Vitamin C in the new growth/tips of the branches... :)
This was a very informative vid. Capone showed his best. I would be like you and go for the isolation, particularly after some social life. Thanks so much for sharing your info., much appreciated. Happy Trails!
You still AMAZE Me. I Am living a brave free outdoor life through You.I'm hoping You make these videos for Years to come.I hope You don't mind Me commenting with them because I'm enjoying Your adventures so much.I'm 64 and My husband is 72, I just don't know if We could ever do this, so for now I'm riding along with You. You are the bravest lady I've ever met-Grammie Denise
PS...... I'm so loving no politics. I really don't like politics at all and You were so so nice to that Man in the shop who believed differently than You and it made Me relax about following You....YEAH !!!!!!
Denise, thank you for your comment. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. From time to time there may be politics.. It's who I am and I care very deeply about things that affect me and our society. - Carolyn
One of the best "day in the life" behind the scenes videos I've seen on RV life, thank you for sharing! LOVE CAPONE he is such a sweet soul.. so adorable. my dog whines too from the car when he sees another dog lol I could totally relate to that. That fire was mesmerizing too, felt like I was right there. Seems like it was such a beautiful night to unwind. I feel like I could do this life, and work from the road.
Just a thought if you ever take "requests" for future topics ;)~… few curiosities I have are: 1. what kind of camera(s) you use to record all of your videos with and take such great pictures (camera, tripod, extra gear), 2. how do you record safely while driving? do you mount your camera somewhere for all those great windshield shots? GoPro? Dashboard set up? 3. any thoughts on how to go about Vet care (check ups, testing, illness) for our fur babies when living on the road? which I guess leads into a secondary question on that topic for humans - doc, dentist, alternative therapies? I would miss my chiropractic adjustments for sure haha lol I suppose as far as prescriptions are concerned, as long as it's in the data base of a chain drugstore you can refill anywhere? How do you go about this for yourself and Capone?
Carolyn, Thank you for sharing your dream and life. I'm feeling the call, all I have to do is figure out how and when. My largest hurdle is a relationship and I want to continue my glass flameworking Art. I'm am inspired and grateful for you. A.
you're so good at doing all that and so quick. I have the intentions of getting me a camper but I'm an old woman I don't think I can do it like you do thanks for showing me everything have a good day. I know this is an old recording but still teaches all of us a lot
I hope to within the next few years after I retire SS will be low, these videos help me plan but I am encouraged! Being an introvert, quiet s nice after a day of busyness.
Thank you Carolyn for sharing your day! I look forward to getting on the road soon myself, just got approved for disability and I plan on getting a Class B or a stealth van. I want to travel part-time. Anyways, have a great day!
The way you hopped up and cleaned that windshield was impressive! Capone is such a great travel dog! I love how he rests his head on the dash board. Why did you have two camping chairs? I bring two when I solo sometimes for safety. Is that why you do? And I'm so jealous of your campfire and solitude. Very well done video Carloyn. I felt like I spent the day with you.
Lost - the packing up was after the RTR in QZ- had company while there! :-) Sometimes I put the extra one out for safety, but rarely worry about that these says. Sometimes I DO use it as a footstool! :-) Thanks for watching.
My 7 year old grandson eats the brand Daiya Dairy-Free Cheese, He's allergic to dairy. It actually tastes great, This kind of stuff wasn't around 25 years ago. Great stuff !! :)
Hi Carolyn and Capone, Im a new subscriber. I absolutely love watching yr adventures!!!! Ive always loved travelling and did a bit when I was younger. I would soooo love to do what u r doing now. my arthritis stops me but the internet is wonderful and i just love watching u both. I feel like im with you both. stay safe, lots of love from me and Betsy (my darling cat) xxxxxxxx
Thank you sooo much for taking the time to reply Carolyn, I know how busy you are and it really means a lot that you took the time to reply. hope this message finds you and adorable Capone both well. take care and stay safe with loads of love from me and Betsy xxxx xxxx
Thank you Carolyn for a really enjoyable video! there were so many enjoyable parts till I don't know if I can name them all but the most relaxing was by the fire. My but it gets dark as in real dark out there at night. Spooky at night. lol I wondered where Capone was. Thanks again for all your efforts.
Hi C! Friendly here. One thing that I didn't see on your changing spots video is any look under the hood. Most people just jump into their cars/trucks/RVs and drive. A quick look under the hood, checking fluids, belts-condition and tensions, and a general look thru might be a good part of driving each day-at least when filling up or dumping tanks. This was a great look at what it takes to move, and not be moving from the house to the RV. Thanks for all the sharing and keep up the good work. bee well;peace....dan
Dan - I do that about once every other time I move - about once a month.. I actually have footage of doing it, but the vid was getting too long. thanks for the thought - C
I'm not good at commenting on videos but, I've been watching your videos. Anyhow, I just wanted to thank you for posting this I really enjoy your videos and I'm hoping to get a camper soon and begin my life out on the road.
Looks like the perfect place to camp. Thank you for all the resources you always provide. I was just wondering where I could dump my tanks and you provide the perfect app (unfortunately the nearest dump is more than 30 miles away from my current location). I will be using this app regularly...or at least when my van has to go! enjoy your time alone!
Loved everything about this vlog! Intro with fast motion and choice of music was wonderful. It was fun to be a part of your journey. Love your cozy interior. You sure are organized! Thanks for the beautiful fire that made me feel like I was there enjoying the experience. Those vegan tacos looked so yummy! Good night. : )
I'm so wanting to get out of these RV campgrounds! As soon as the mechanical work is done I'm outta here! Think I'll buy the wood now! Good idea! I'm inspired!
Even after thirty years off and on driving truck, I miss being on the road seeing the sights. I had to laugh when you said that there were too many people in the campground. I would have left if there were six campers there. I enjoy your adventures and cannot understand the dislikes. Maybe they just wish they could travel like you. Happy trails.
We've camped at Buckskin, Arizona sure has nicer state parks than the ones here in California! We're looking at upgrading our trailer now to have more tank capacity and other improvements, I'm planning to put some solar on the roof (for when parked in the sun) and carry some portable panels (for when parked in the shade). I also carry one or two of the Honda EU2000's for those days the panels aren't enough. We were too busy to get to Quartzsite this year, but hopefully we'll get there next year. There's a big Ham Radio group for a week called Quartzfest after the RTR, maybe we can take in both in one trip next year. My wife's not comfortable with the "nomad" rving, but it looks like fun to me. Good work Carolyn!
Thanks Carolyn......nice to be back on the internet....out of service for a few weeks, but now I'm good (don't know for how long LOL) so it was nice to hear you voice and see you and Capone again......Take care. TruckamperJim in Indiana for 5 more weeks
Thanks for taking us along, I thoroughly enjoyed it :-)

Thanks Carolyn, I really appreciate your vlogs. After a crazy stressful day at work. I really love watching you living the life that makes you so happy. Maybe, someday, I will be as brave as you. Please keep doing what you do.
thanks Caroline for sharing this video with me.

I'm glad to see you are happy.... enjoy your time alone....
Blessed Be ..Mother Earth protect you

Very enjoyable day in the life video. I love Capone.
I love that whole area between Lake Havasu and Parker. Lots of nooks and crannies next to the river and beautiful red rock. Thanks for sharing!
Nice place. Thanks for allowing us in.
Thanks for sharing. I forgot what it was like tearing down camp. We have not been able to go anywhere in about 3 years because of my brothers cancer and my sister passing last year with her cancer. We are planning on going this year and looking for a camper in the next month. Enjoy your time alone.

You're welcome Jenny.. Trying to get through the long list of requests! :-)
Great video and editing. I really enjoyed the day with you on your journey. I like the new camp site you have with the fire. Thanks for the great vlog.
Great job. So nice to see you showing yourself traveling on the road and showing the interesting places that you find! Thank You.

A fun RV day! Always so exciting when your "on the hunt" for the next camping location. A perfect ending to the day! 🔥

you're so good at doing all that and so quick. I have the intentions of getting me a camper but I'm an old woman I don't think I can do it like you do thanks for showing me everything have a good day. I know this is an old recording but still teaches all of us a lot
thank you for the nice video Carolyn !!
Sometimes it's nice to just be by yourself...like you said.
living life day by day you sound relaxed and happy blessings to u and capone
I hope to within the next few years after I retire SS will be low, these videos help me plan but I am encouraged! Being an introvert, quiet s nice after a day of busyness.
Perfect Music to ramble on.
Thank you Carolyn for sharing your day! I look forward to getting on the road soon myself, just got approved for disability and I plan on getting a Class B or a stealth van. I want to travel part-time. Anyways, have a great day!
hi,caroline Exciting your boondocking experiences ,via internet I am in your proximity - thank you--
Really enjoyed this "day in the life" video. More, please! :-)
Thanks for watching.
Loved your video. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Mary, for watching!
My 7 year old grandson eats the brand Daiya Dairy-Free Cheese, He's allergic to dairy.
It actually tastes great, This kind of stuff wasn't around 25 years ago. Great stuff !! :)
Great, interesting video! I enjoy watching the day to day goings on of RV life. Makes me want to get out here even more :)

Thank you! :-)
Loving your videos!
fires are so special when by one's self.
agreed
Loved this video...thank you for all that you do.
Thank you Charla! :-)
Thank you for taking the time to leave your thoughts Danielle. I appreciate it! :-) good luck to you with your camper!
great vid, like the ride along. Great view of the mountains
I would say this is your best video yet, but it's been said multiple times. I'll just agree with them. Rock on!
The fire and solitude look really lovely. Thanks again for another wonderful video.
It was so awesome! Thanks Joan!
Good night. : )
thanks for joining me Linda! Glad you're here.
Carolyn's RV Life Thank you, sweet Carolyn!
I loved this video so much. Thanks for making it.
So glad you enjoyed it Cecilia - ty
Like the traveling videos, love to watch the road winding on. Fun video, thanks for sharing!
Thanks Judy!
Carolyn”s thank you for the show and if I can said be safe and have fun my new friend
I have all the respect for you my friend! HI CAPONE!
love your videos, keep enjoying your life!
Thank you Marta!
Thanks Carolyn......nice to be back on the internet....out of service for a few weeks, but now I'm good (don't know for how long LOL) so it was nice to hear you voice and see you and Capone again......Take care. TruckamperJim in Indiana for 5 more weeks
Welcome back and ty for the message!!! 5 weeks!!! awesome.
I don't know why I didn't think of it before, but you solved my cleaning the windshield dilemma - climb on the hood, duh!
LOL.. don't pull too hard on the wipers!!!
2bczar4u you can also get one of those steps and mount it on your bumper so you can stand on it to get you windshield done
Thanks Carolyn, I really enjoyed this video .......more please 👍🏻😘
