I've never been one to care too much about lyrics, regardless of which language they're written in; however, having seen this live version , with subtitle lyrics and white costumes, it does makes sense. I've probably heard the song a hundred times before; and I liked it because it was well done; and the girls' vocals were like instruments, played to complement the music and gutteral male vocals. White is traditionally worn at funerals and death rites in many Asian countries. So, with the girls representing Death, or possibly Reapers, it puts the title and the music in perspective. I actually think that the music conveys the same message that the lyrics do, which is a huge complement to Kobo and the band.
the girls are not saying DEATH - THEY ARE SAYING "DES" the shortened/slang of DESU - its a formal greeting in Japanese basically introducing yourself like Hello My Name Is. -they even accentuate the SSSSSS to try & make it more clear & an even bigger introduction @ 2:01 (respect to Japanese but moreso for the rest of the world) -yea with their accent it sounds like death but i saw this explanation posted on an official site. -the song is BabyMetal Death - but its them introducing themselves to the world SuMetal Des(u) - YuiMetal Des(u) - MoaMetal Des(u) - BABYMETAL DES(u) Please update your subtitles & add this into the description - if u want to be accurate & true to BabyMetal.
That's one of the hardest and craziest songs they have I think..that's pure heavy metal.. baby metal style
