You may have left us way to soon but you left behind a beautiful legacy in your Triple Crown Winning son. Justify reach the mountain top that you started to climb. RIP
wow unbelievable really...paddock accident, how sad, no matter how carefully managed it happens. he sired JUSTIFY. he is related to damascus, nijinsky, native dancer. jusify's mom is related to seattle slew and nijinsky too. what a great name and you can feel his vibe thru the video. RIP scat daddy
@@peggypapczun2906 I don't recall that they ever divulged specifics about the accident. I do recall someone mentioning that they thought she broke her back, but that was never confirmed. The babies can play rough in the paddock. They rear up at each other. She could have flipped over backward. It's a damn shame. She was a real beauty.
@@kwgrid Thank you so much for your response-I guess Zenyatta's baby had some sort of severe fracture. It had to be very bad or else the owners might have decided on drastic surgery to save her. I would think fillies would not play as rough as colts, thanks for telling me they do. Maybe the filly should have been in a private paddock since she was so valuable. Have a very Merry Holiday Week!
The article said he was being led out of his paddock when he dropped dead. Not really an accident, an incident maybe. They never reported what killed him though.
Beautiful boy you left to soon but your Beautiful talented son Justify is making you proud and you will never be forgotten.
For a horse that left too soon, he sure left behind a legacy
RIP Scat Daddy! Thank you for giving us champions and great races. So handsome with the bangs!
I know I will personally never forget Scat Daddy.

We have a mare, Blond Cheri, sired by Scat Daddy and she is loving her life of eventing/jumping. She is fast as lightning when you let her go.....
Definitely interesting should upload more of these
Damn paddock accidents are the worst! Zenyatta had a magnificent little War Front filly that died at 6 months old from a paddock accident. :(
A paddock accident means what, a broken leg or shoulder? So terrible for Zenyatta;s baby.

I saw Scat Daddy win the Florida Derby!

Most sources say that it was heart failure.
Most sources I found said he died of a heart attack, not a stall/paddock accident. Such a great horse, I loved him.
The Sire of Justify
