He didn't do too bad. Had a rough couple of innings, then settled in. 7-3 score should be good enough for a win. Bullpen and bottom of the line up sucks. If they are hoping to do any damage in the playoffs those two things need to get addressed.
Yama did fine, you do not always get quality starts. The fact is that both starting pitcher survived only 5 innings and Dodgers had a 7-3 lead before 6th inning. There are multiple reasons Dodgers lost this game and Yama was not one of them. Their inability to hit when runner in scoring position (this has been always their problem) is the No. 1 reason.
Padres own Yamameatballs 😂😂
Bobby meat balls, Yama meat balls, they should move back to Brooklyn serving all these meat balls🍝
Got ambushed. If this guy is all about command, he should stop throwing so many first pitch down the middle fastballs.
I feel like it’s still too early to tell wether he’s worth it or not because even last years cy young winner snell struggled at the start of last year and is struggling rn. Glasgow went from 14ks in one start to the disaster from yesterday. I’m sure he can turn things around.
Fire Roberts!
YamaJoto bad another start. The Umpire saved him with bad strikes calls with bases loaded in the Cubs game
Elite offense pedestrian pitching staff. They're laughing in SD I can almost hear them 👂
Woke up to see my Padres kicked they ass in a one run game in bonus innings. Really proud of them boys!
How is that kicking their ass 🤔 sounds like you been taught math in some SD public school. 😎🤣😂
@@Chosen4Him
They kicked they ass because they was down 7-3 early. What?….you butthurt?
Just like every season since ‘88 what weren’t a COVID asterisk season??
Yamamoto is a good third starter, he's sure no ace... we gave this guy the most money for a pitcher w/o throwing a single pitch in the MLB... for all that money, we could have gotten two even 3 of the same quality starter...
Aces dont look like aces 100 percent of the time for every year of their contract. He has the stuff to be an ace....has been dominant as hell in Japan and is young....his ability to rebound and stay focused is a huge positive sign. The Padres team isnt a snoozer either.
This isn't the first time a Japanese pitcher who was dominant in Japan came to the MLB and didn't live up to the hype. Yamamoto is a good pitcher, but he's definitely not worth the contract he got. You'd think the first time around the MLB lineup, he'd have an overwhelming advantage because they've never faced him before, but that isn't the case. The key will be if he can adjust once these players and analytics figure him out.
He needs to start wright training, this isn't japanese baseball.
This team is grossly overrated. Marginal pitching and streaking hitting is not what you would expect from this roster. The Dodgers made the Padres bullpen look like Cy Young award winners.
