I still wear this cologne because you are buying 4 colognes into one... it has a little bit of a mixture (layering jpg le male, Dolce & gabana pour homme and cigars cologne and sometimes boss bottled by hugo boss) There you go.... you'll have The dreamer by versace... I simply love this cologne. Can't live without it.... Down here in Brazil (midwest - goiania) when I wear it I just get compliments and people say "goddamn it" what magical cologne is that? I know it is a little bit different from the 96 batch. But still there! love it too much.
Terrific production as always, G. I'm glad to say I've been a viewer since video 1. The Dreamer is one of my top 3 of all time ever since it came out in the late 90s. Hasn't been supplanted yet. Here are my notes: 1. The pattern is called a Greek Key (as another viewer stated) or Greek Meander. 2. The smell of damp earth or a rainy atmosphere is called 'petrichor'. 3. We are British so it's 'exclamation mark' not exclamation point. Period! (I mean 'full stop' 😉). Keep up the splendid work!

I have very mixed feelings about this cologne. I like the freshness of it. I like the bottle too. To me it has a melancholic scent to it that is not too uplifting. It's more like "Broken Dreams" which fits right in with the name.
Great descriptive work mate. I purchased this for the first time in Italy 1997 and at the time was very popular in Italy . Not for every day but very unique , amazing and quite polarising . Cheers.
I started my fragrance journey a couple years ago and absolutely hated this scent. I thought it smelled like a urinal cake from the men's room. I have changed my mind and now really appreciate the this beast. I don't know if i would suggest this for beginners. Great review

Great review. I have it in my collection. Althought I'm not a huge fan of Vetiver and Lavender I enjoy the hole composition. Not my favorite but still nice and projects also well on my skin.

The opening is just god awful for me, very aged, very mature, but not in like a refined 40 year old man way, like an 80 year old man doused in aftershave. Beyond that the fragrance picks up that powdery, creamy tobacco and lavender low end and you loose a lot of that toppiness and sparkliness you get in the opening. For $30 its a steal.

How does an experienced perfumer like ATH say it’s not very strong and will last for two hrs max on the skin .. 🤔 huh ? . But yeah .. beast. Do I like it … hmm . Ive never worn it yet . But I realise my nose 👃 is v untrained. 🤓
Well greek motifs, not quite xactly. Versace's inspiration always was the Roman Empire. Greek motifs were used by the romans though since ancient Greeks exported their culture to Rome.

The tobacco in this smells more like a tobacco scented talcum powder than a straight up tobacco note.
