- Welcome to my channel! Everyday here in Japan I'm finding treasures and adding them to my collection. Episode 214: Much has been said about Versace The Dreamer. I brought this one back to Japan from the USA. In this video I'm trying to figure out what the hype is about, as I compare it to Le Male as a contrast. Original version? Modern version? This one is a mystery, so far.

A good assessment of The Dreamer. They're in the same genre for sure, but they're not similar to me. Both pretty nostalgic though. 💙🤍
Cheers Steven I wore both when they came out ,and I always favored La Malle, I never really vibe with the Dreamer and I did get Tobacco,however years later in 2019 I repurchased the dreamer to try to connect with it and I like you didn’t get a definitive Tobacco and I actually gifted it after one wearing, they both were different but at least I tolerated the vintage and emptied the bottle.cheers man appreciate the comparison,which I do not get myself lol 😂✌️🙏👍

They definitely smells very similar, but Dreamer is more tobacco and harsher to my nose in the opening. Le male is less tobacco but the same scent profile

The dreamer reminds me of D&G pour homme (2012) like citrus , aromatic, tobacco, woody..
I haven't smelled the modern version of D&G PH yet.
The dreamer is closer to dolce and gabbana pour homme, it is more powdery and less greener from the d&g!🎉
Im not sure what year they changed it and used the term original. I have a newer one plus one from 2008. Theone from 2008 has a slight gold color instead of just perfectly clear, which i hear makes it a OG formulation. But honestly to me there is not much difference. There is a little more sharpness at the top of my 2008 which honestly could just be mistaken for a stronger alcohol smell. I don't think it's worth tracking down the vintage.
Thanks for the info. Isn't it strange the listed notes are very different between them? If I find a cheap one, I have to buy it. My subscribers would appreciate it ;-)
@@eaudetreasure I should resmell my old one . I know it was stronger . I got 2008 bottle with a messed up built in sprayer so I kind of just smelled it once and put it up. But the juice has a little color to it which I hear is one of the signs that it's vintage. A slight gold color. Not totally clear like new ones. The lady at the place by my house that has all the vintage gave it to me for free for buying a lot of stuff.
