I have an April 2020 batch. Lasts forever. Like straight up 12+ hours on skin and DAYS on my clothes. Spray more perhaps? Like 6-7 sprays (i do 4 with this one). I legit think people complaining about performance are either very unlucky or just go anosmic to this. Peformance is very consistent on this thing. Projects like a beast too for 3 hours or so. And it's an EdT, which blows my mind since i have some expensive EdP that perform worse than this absolute gem.
Hello. This is a confusing fragrance for me because I just sprayed this and for me it smells clean, feminine and fresh. Like clean laundry. Other reviews say it smells masculine and barbershop like, and it’s the complete opposite what I get? The other thing is that I would use it in summer. Not in winter or at night what others say.
I have to say, in The Dreamer's case: just apply generously 😃 Had been having this one (50ml) in my collection for 6 months, I love the scent so much and I end up using it extremely careful every time. But today, I decided to "go big" and get the 100ml bottle and pass my 50ml to one of my friends. And when I tested it, just one long-big-spray on my arm, I was surprised by how powerful it is, and you know what, it lasted for hours. Anyway, I love your reviews and decided to blind buy some perfumes base on your opinion. Thanks😃
It is not a powerhouse but... It’s very summery and will hang well in warm temps. The latest iteration requires about 6-8 sprays. I don’t find it feminine and it definitely has a bite to it...greenness. Hey,for $20-25 spray away.
@@UrbanDwellerNYC if you haven’t, you should try “Sunrise Vetiver” by the Franck Olivier House. It’s $20-25 online and it’s a beautiful warm weather scent. It’s very highly rated and I believe you would like it a lot.
I love The Dreamer, but I think you are spraying too much, after your cold goes away with 2-3 sprays you should be good. 10 sprays is an over-kill. On me it's not a beast mode but I can smell it for 4-5 hours with the first 2 hours or so good projection, after getting closer to the skin. Absolutely amazing scent for going out nights, office, or summer nights/ autumn/winter in general
Totally with you on this. It’s a truly special scent. I don’t know anything like this in the designer realm. That tobacco + floral combo is unmatched. But like you I get weak performance from this, which is a bummer. I’ll always own it just for how brilliant the smell is. But that’s it.
For me it projects really well for a few hrs in summer high heat but in cooler weather or indoors definitely spray more. Love the smell though, reminds me of a cool guy from the 80’s lol.
Remember, fragrance works DIFFERENTLY with each one’s chemistry. I do receive more compliments with the Dreamer than with Eros. Specially after 5-8 hours after applying.
@@UrbanDwellerNYC Around here no fragrance is affordable, to be honest 😕. Yesterday I got Cedrat Boise (how I found your channel) and I paid $700 (Brazilian currency). I envy you guys so much watching "cheapie" videos hahaha
Could it be that the some bad reviews might also be due to counterfeit bottles floating around on the market online, depending on where it’s purchased. Counterfeits are never as strong.
It’s not beastly, but also definitely not like aftershave. Pretty typical edt performance I’d say. Also avoid buying fragrances from Amazon. Interesting that it’s the same perfumer as Burberry touch. Not surprised, very similar powderyness. I like it a lot. Also reminds me a bit of Le male.
Sweet, floral, herbal, clean linen. Imagine Prada L'Homme's powdery clean mixed with Le Male's sweetness. The strong opening is the only potentially polarizing thing about it, I've grown to like it though. Reminds me both of a romantic dinner date in Italy... and waking up and cuddling in clean white sheets after an afternoon nap in spring/summer. Unique, romantic, cozy.
I think many younger men are probably unable to smell clary sage or possibly even lavender without experiencing a cat urine effect, because of the notes' abrasive or coarse texture--hard to describe, or to find the right word for--and kind of biting aromatic attack. I also think floral-, and perhaps especially white-floral-, forward fragrances just overwhelm many people (especially men), in a bad way, for reasons that I don't totally understand.
Just purchased this as a gift for 25 yo stepson, and I love it! I want to buy the same for my husband. Smells shower clean, masculine, but not like a spicy old-man.
@@UrbanDwellerNYC Thank you for the amazingly quick reply, was thinking of grabbing some new fragrances and seen a lot of mixed reviews on this but for that price I think I can give it a shot whenever I test it out. Once again, thank you :)
I really think the different options on fragrantica, is the newer and older formulation. As far as projection and strength. Mind you, the two different pages on the website makes things super confusing...GREAT REVIEW!
I just don’t get the hype about the current version of this fragrance. It gets pushed by so many RUclips reviewers. To me it’s just a weak old school fragrance that has been watered down and lost its way like so many others. It’s nothing special at all. I use it as a bathroom spray. It’s not even worth wearing for me.
This is a very basic lavender forward scent. Very close in smell to the original prada luna rossa just a little less spicy. This is a good fragrance for someone just starting out, not for anyone with a large collection.
@@noahmoss3615 The Dreamer is *nothing* like Eros. This is tobacco, herbs, powder, and lavender soap. For a man in his 30s+ for special occasions. This will not appeal to teens. Get Dylan Blue for all occasions or Man Eau Fraiche for high temp casual use.
It doesn't have a very good longetitvity doesn't it it only last about 1 2 hours for me wha bout for u maybe if I'm lucky I'd get about 4 hours but after 1 hour it's quite weak
You know, after my cold cleared out I tested a lot more and it’s not great but much better. Still it’s one of those I’m okay with reapplying. I get similar longevity as you.
Totally agree destroyed Fragrance it's always on sale the original lasted for weeks was honey coloured and two sprays projected for miles .waste of time and money now. Overspray why should we have to ?

Same here. My 2020 bottle pushes for hours! And the scent changes over its journey.
A beautiful dreamer indeed….
It’ll get stronger each day you let the fragrance sit without sunlight
mine lasts at least 6hrs
I get tobacco
And vanilla
It IS sweet
Lots of vanilla , creamy with smoky tobacco

I just applied Le Male on my left wrist and the Dreamer on my right. I do smell some similarities. The dreamer reminds me a bit of Egoist as well.

Man, we have so similar tastes! Such refinement is what I'm always looking for in fragrances. Sadly, in Brazil, where I live, they are expensive.
Nice! What’s affordable in Brazil?
