I don't want any of the cool guns in that incredible movie, I want... THE ALIEN QUEEN. I want it on top of the house, like a xenomorph gargoyle ready to repel evil spirits...
You could build one of those. I see the cover latch of an M60 machine gun, couple of motorcycle swing arms, portion of a handlebar and brake / clutch lever. That thing is really interesting.

There’s a guy on Reddit I’ve chatted with a few times who has the prop grips from the movie Vasquez used on the same model pistol and has a working pulse rifle build. I think all the stuff is cool, this smart gun being around is pretty mind blowing though.

As I was leaving with my new sneakers, I said to him, 'ALIENS-!' and he, replied with an, 'Ohhhhh, yeahhh ...' He was then, like when he happily now, crashed the interview, was indeed, back in the day, just as happy ... Time flies, eh-? Let's rock-!! D.A.
*the "ADIOS" written on the weapon of VASQUEZ is just priceless....with the sequence with the war drums in the background while Drake and Vasquez are preparing for war, this movie is one my favorite of all time*
Lovely... so metal. Made for killing bugs. Deactivated? Not for long. Outside of the comics, they should of explored more with the Colonial Marines, terraforming colonies, and the Xenomorphs in the movies or a mini-series. Equipment like the M56 and the M577 is made to be seen in use on the silver screen, they are too beautiful to be not.
Actually, as you likely know, from 1995 onwards, there's been the 'Aliens: Colonial Marines Technical Manual(s)' and if you or anyone shall do a film in the times preceding 'ALIENS' ... that's a good place to use as a 'story bible' to keep it Canon. Keep Bug Hunting, amigo ..! D.A.
Whats funny is I have the main colonial marines as characters in my XCOM2 games, including Drake (Mark Ralston) with voicepacks courtesy of a mod. Probably one of the best sci-fi action movies ever especially with the added footage with Newts family and the Sentry guns.

Truly sad how many things are thrown away during a divorce soley out of spite. Now his son has nothing to memorialize his father for being in that film after he passes. Nothing to do with cash value, but sentimental value is priceless. She may never admit to it, but I bet his mother does regret it now to some extent.

To be a smart gunner, it's cooler than I can think of. It has their auto targeting system of firing specific kinds of possible threats as "the steady cam" does the aim for you automatically as the gunner fires the enemy which that eye scope shows which threat you should be firing and the other not, that's awesome. If only had a grenade launcher or flamethrower attached on that smart gun it'll be an unstoppable weapon and a nightmare to the Xenos. Kickass gun!!

Awesome video to see this great solid piece of sci-fi being auctioned off it's such a shame that his ex had no idea of what she was throwing away and the sad thing was it wasn't for her benefit it was for his son and the thing was he was 19 at the time when he filmed this movie that is amazing in itself and he him and Rico Ross still look great to this day I remember seeing this movie when I was 13 years old this was solid sci-fi at its premium great video
you know you can 3d print these right? there are tons of guides and models out there you can make this with a cheap $300 3d printer and it will look 90% accurate if you take if to a painter or stress sand it to make it look worn
"Drake" shouldn't have been so territorial with his sargent... guy is just as much part of the story as he is, he "died" with honour in that hell hole...
also always curious what was the thing they took out when collecting ammo. was that the actually gun magazine? also do they normally have the actors there for the prop? because I love that!

@@JacobsenBros But the good news is if you play Aliens Vs Predator 1 you get to use a largely movie accurate smartgun and it actually tracks targets, makes the correct sound effect, and fires in bursts correctly. See also Aliens Fireteam Elite. Too bad they buggered it up in every other piece of Aliens media somehow.

When I was in the Army I so wished that we had this weapon. Geneva convention and practicality be damned.

The newer Aliens Fireteam Elite game literally has a ton of steady cam supported weapons just like you are imagining!
