  • Welcome to the sixth episode of Branwen's Big Year 2024 vlog!
Throughout the year Branwen is on a mission to see as many bird species as possible in the UK, and there'll be a new vlog episode each month to document the adventure.
This episode is a little short :( Work took over during the summer, so less time for birding sadly... But we did get to some birds in very beautiful places in west and central Wales. What will be the running total of species after the fifth month? Watch and find out!

@@KeefsCattys Thank you! We're so lucky to have chough in our locality. They're definitely not common, even here, so it was a relief having them show up so generously at Aberporth 🙂 They're definitely worth a trip west!

A lovely selection of woodland birds. Congrats on passing 150 species! I wonder what the autumn migration and winter visitors will add to your yearlist! Watching avidly as always!

@@tonycritcher3419 thank you so much Tony! I always love your thoughtful comments! Are you still heading for Minsmere in Oct? We're off to the Cairngorms next Friday, then coming back via Yorkshire/Lancashire area for the second week. Will be keeping our eyes peeled for some of those migration species, though we might not be in the best places... We'll see!
