very nice again - have not tried night photography for macro yet - had not considered the idea of being able to keep the constant light on making it much easier to get and maintain focus while the flash overpowers! Thanks for sharing these tips.
Great stuff, as always. I end up doing night macro sometimes when I'm looking for frogs and lizards. I really like running into giant moths from time to time around this time of the year.
@@Xx7trey I kinda had the opposite problem back then. There was a mating pair of polyphemus moths literally at my door. I didn't have a macro lens at the time. And this year, I had a male Luna moth but didn't get the angle I wanted.

Why is the recharge rate of the flash so slow? Isn’t it using lithium batteries?
My flash uses AA batteries and the recharge rate was slow because I was shooting at 1/2 power
