Awesome build! Colors and graphics screams 80’s…love it! Truly enjoy watching you take something rusty and making shine and most importantly back riding.
I'm a freak for a chrome bike so I have to say that build turned out Absolutely Gorgeous!!! You have a great eye for details, and I especially like the skyway wheels and chain ring. Some chrome pegs would be the only thing else I could ask for in a BMX freestyle bike.
Thank you so much for watching and the comments. I love chrome especially when its polished. Yeah I couldn't find any more stubby pegs. I'll keep an eye out.
For one, that is a GORGEOUS machine. Another, you work like an artist! Add to those the production of the video... man, I'm just blown away!!! Passed a few seconds into one of yours last night due to no narration and regretting it now, but now I get it and I'll be watching them all, to be sure! I also learned a couple handy methods I'll definitely be using ;) so GIGANTIC thanks for all the above!! Shaking my head over the magic I just witnessed.........
That turned out awesome. What a cool bike! Great job and great to watch and see how go about restoring these. I have yet to try acid bath, but I have a '83 Norco/Cycle Pro that has a bit of rust pitting. Will get what I need tomorrow and give it a go! Thanks for posting these videos! Keep up the great work.
Comments like yours are what keep me motivated. I get to save a future/ageing classic and you get to learn things. I really like this build. It's a little out of my comfort zone with using a rotor instead of the gyro but it works so all good. Yeah just give it ago. Make sure you dry it off and spray the inside of the frame with wd40 then polish it to protect it. I'm starting to film the next one soon.
Oh yes I’ve been waiting for this!!!! I’m going to sit down and watch this with a beer tonight and a bit of peace and quiet! Looking forward to it! Itl definitely give me ideas for my next build!!! 🙌🏻
Oooh I’ve been waiting for this!!! 🎉…il be sitting down tonight with a beer after work watching your hard work! I can’t wait! More inspiration for my next build to 🙌🏻
Oh definitely mate I will do! Il leave another comment once I’ve watched it!…I got hold of a mongoose decade 1987 f&f set of you or anyone you know is interested 🎉
Really enjoyed that, you built a beautiful bike my friend. I have an Aero Reflex too, mines chrome with white seat, grips, brakes, spoked rims etc but mines strictly a carpet queen alongside my 86 tangerine orange GT Performer. I've not seen Cillit Bang used to remove rust before, how bad a frame can it rescue because your frame looks mint on screen............
Hi thanks for watching. Your collection sounds mint. Its cilit bang citric acid in the tub. Citric acid works really well with minimal effort needed by yourself. Done a video on it on here. If the chrome has gone it wont bring it back. As for on screen what you see is how it turns out. Thanks again for watching.
I owned an Aero Reflex but the big problem was the welded on rear drop-out platform they were too long and you were always catching your rear sole heels .
The reflex is a strange frame. Uses thin wall tubing. As a result a 22.2mm post is sloppy. As the internal of the tube is 22.6mm. Aero included a shim with the frame to "fix" this issue. Thank you for watching
I’ve got a quick question….will the citric acid damage or lift decals at all? As the ones that are on mine are original I don’t want to damage them or have to change them,be grateful for the advice 👍🏻
Hi. The Aero has built in standers on the chainstay. No cable guides. As far as I know these were made with Tange tubing. Other than that I think they are the same.
@@whitewellybmxrestorations Oh yeah I do see the welded on stands. Would have probably just put foot pegs on anyway. Had a GT Pro Performer years back. Replaced it a Predator 24". Wanted a bigger bike. Thanks.

Thank you for the kind comments. I do try my best to bring oddities back to life. Got a few more rusty ones to do. . Thanks again
That rust removal is amazing. Great restoration and video as usual!!!!🎉🎉🎉
Yes! Thank you! It's great stuff. Simple and safe.. thanks for watching.
Badboy that is amazing. Gonna do it to my bmx. Crossers etc Respect ✊
Cheers man. Post pics on our socials when you're done.
Nice bike build!💯👊😎
Thanks ✌ much appreciated
Should call it the Sherbert Shredder🤘, killer build! Probably the best build video/edit I've seen👏 I'm running the same bars on my Quadangle
Sherbet creamsicle. Thank you. I really enjoyed this build. Must admit the edit was challenging but worth it. I love the weird bars from the 80s.

Wow thank you for the kind comment and watching all the videos. I have 14 more builds to do at the moment. Stick around for them in the future.
Better believe I will! Keep us updated on that museum, please :)
Even the color of the grease used matches the bike 😱
Thank you . I do try lol.
Amazing restoration dude 👍👍

I know that feeling. I'm size 8 and clip them all the time.
why did you use an adapter on the seat tube?

Looks funky fresh now! ❤ Do you keep all your restored bikes or are they done with selling in mind?
Love it thank you. I'm keeping them for now.
When the time comes I'll advertise them on Instagram.
Thanks for watching
Whats the name of the part that goes en between the handle bar and frame to separete the brakes cable? I dont remember
I used the ACS Rotor but you can use a Odyssey Gyro.
I’ve got a quick question….will the citric acid damage or lift decals at all? As the ones that are on mine are original I don’t want to damage them or have to change them,be grateful for the advice 👍🏻
Hi I havnt tried it with decals but other people say it doesnt effect decals. It's your decision at the end of the day.
Il give it a go and il report back 🙌🏻
Freio traseiro na mão esquerda??
Yes. The uk standard is rear on the left..

What is the difference between a Aero Reflex and a GT Pro Performer?

Não acostumo em ver ele colocando o freio traseiro na mão esquerda....
Thanks for watching. Here in the uk the brakes are on the opposite sides. Something to do with british standards and laws.
