Yeah I think Aria might happen especially since the story revolves around Drac's incarnation and it has a Belmont, a Belnades, and Alucard so it also carries over characters and themes the viewers will be familiar with. Not to mention the potential of Soma's relationship with Julius and Alucard is too good to pass up. Like maybe Alucard wanting his father to be redeem and have a normal life while Julius really has to put aside his family's long feud with Dracula and give Soma a chance to prove he won't go full evil. Really they can do a lot with that story.

Ok I have to say the way you made this boss like look was flipping epic. It feels like the closest thing you can ever get to making a video game fight look like a choreographed battle for a show.
Even though it is highly unlikely at this point, they need to make a prequel of this game, where a 18 or 19 year old Julius Belmont faces off against Dracula, just like almost all the other Castlevania games. I mean Richter was 18 or 19 when he faced off against Dracula, same with Juste Belmont, and pretty much most Belmonts. Why not have a back story with Julius? ;)
I totally agree. We totally need a video game how did Julius Belmont take down Dracula for good. Like how did he do the impossible thing that his ancestors failed to do?
Since Dracula's defeat was in 1999, and Aria of Sorrow takes place in 2035 (Dawn of Sorrow a year later), Julius would be about 36 years old if you subtract the two years together.

Dracula is once again summoned forth, but into the dawn of the new millennium, bringing forth the apocalypse. His dark power all the more fierce, fueled by his hatred of humanity - for the new millennium has brought forth a fracture in chaos, allowing all of time to collapse into Dracula's hellish architecture. Journey forth now for the last time, the last of his bloodline, Julius Belmont, tied to his past by the grand arcane holy weapon - a whip earnestly named Vampire Killer, must topple countless terrors and stop the compression of the dark Lord's ultimate power. . . . . .And no man shall say who will emerge victorious Spilling forth in the final battle, you fight alongside every single Belmont to defeat Dracula for good, one last time. Every version of Dracula emerges, though every iteration and horrid beast he has assumed throughout time, you strike him down again and again. Simon, Nathan, Christopher, Richter, Trevor, Julius and many more fighting together to fix the timeline. What could be more legendary?
That would be awesome and the ultimate Castlevania fan service. Nathan Graves and even non-canon characters like Sonia Belmont being worked into the mainline lore would be awesome.

I probably speak for all fans when I say I'm gonna LOSE MY SH*T when they animate this fight and Julius Belmont's theme "Heart of Fire" starts playing. And even more so if they animate his badass, overpowered Grand Cross attack destroying parts of Castlevania itself!
What they’ll probably do is make Julius one of the central characters and reveal to us more of how the Battle of 1999 went down as he regains more of his memories.
Shit, that sounds like it could be amazing.
@@fissilewhistle Let's hope they don't nerf Julius like they did with Trevor, I wan't to see the omnia vanitas as well as the Grand Cross destroying the castle.
@@JohnSmith-co1zv They didn't nerf Trevor. He was out of practice. And all belmonts are way stronger than the last. So trevor was one of the weaker ones. but he was still a badass
@@KorporalKReephdmkiytrecv69 I meant in the netflix series compared to curse of darkness and other games, in CoD, Trevor has a far bigger arsenal and is pretty powerful outside of the whip, possesing powers of his own such as the Grand Cross, in the series he's just a peak human.
Additionally he won agaisnt Alucard, it wasn't a draw that favored the latter.
What I'm saying is that instead of holding back while kicking Soma's ass they'll probably make him just stand a bit of a chance and get deafeated.
Ok I have to say the way you made this boss like look was flipping epic.
It feels like the closest thing you can ever get to making a video game fight look like a choreographed battle for a show.
There's something about having the usual Belmont vs. Dracula fight, but in reverse, that is just...intoxicating.
@@sakuraeclipse actually Julius would be twenty during the 1999 battle because he's 56 in Aria of sorrow which takes place during 2035
@@sakuraeclipse and Julius was born in the year 1980 so he would be around 19-20 actually during the battle of 1999.
Holy crap, I almost forgot about this account and this video has THIS many views!? Wow, lol. Glad everyone likes the old school stuff! xD I know I still do! (Yes I'm the player and account owner)
Daeaera [FGJ] nice meeting you bro
What level were you at in this fight
I created a DnD character around Julius just cause of this
@@mediocregaming1015 In the description!
I remember loving this fight so much that I refused to use items out of respect. Aria was my first step into the series and by god this made a great impression
2:18 the castle starts to fall apart in the background
He's not just swinging his whip randomly. Each swing. IS MORE THAN 100% OF HIS POWER!!
"You took easy on me"
- THAT WAS HIM GOING EASY ON ME?
This is one of the most badass fights in Castlevania.
+gnomeking678 , you are correct, however this game is different. this was one of those games that blew people's minds... see, there have already been castlevania games that protagonize non-belmont characters, but i think this is the only one where you fight not only as a non-belmont, but against a belmont... i could be wrong... its successors could also have that.
*cough* Ehem... Symphony of the Night and Portrait of Ruin *cough* Richter *cough*
You were the son of Dracula in Sotn and this game came before PoR.
ok ok. i get it
Julius should have gotten his own game symphony of the night style with sprite work and everything on modern hardware
No thanks
@@wallacesousuke1433why? Because then Alucard's bitchass would become irrelevant 🤡
Something about 0:55 - 1:39 just captures the tone of the battle... You can almost feel how much Julius doesn't want to kill Soma but feels he must follow through in order to prevent Dracula from being resurrected... Like it's a no win situation for him
Soma and Julius: Wielding the powers of Dracula and the greatest vampire hunter, viciously attacking with an arsenal of deadly weapons, unleashing catastrophic demonic and holy energies in their struggle of good and evil.
Also Soma and Julius: IMMA JUMP UP AND DOWN ON HIS HEAD THAT'LL SHOW HIM WHO'S BOSS
"So, who's the strongest Belmont?"
Answer: 02:19
We need a game of Julius but Konami as always fucked up the saga at the end.
@@kyletheneko2745 lol no
@@kyletheneko2745 you sucks ass 😎👌
The battle of 1999 would make for a awesome game but it has to live up to massive expectations
@@EricksinL0ra321 lmao ok then if he's so powerful then why did he lose to Soma?
@@kyletheneko2745 Soma literally states the Julius was going easy on him 3:43.
He also stated that the power of a vampire hunter was much more than Julius was showing, which is prob why Soma entrusted him to kill him if he fails.
His grand cross destroyed part of the castle
I NEVER NOTICED THAT
One of the most legendary boss fights period.
I was looking for something like this! Absolutely masterful work, I've been replaying AoS the past few days, and I've been trying my absolute hardest to beat this guy using nothing but the mach punch. But this is absolute butter, I can tell you've fought him many times before. :3
TehDauvs mach punch is the one that hits twice right ??? THAT WAS MY FAVORITE WEAPON !!!!!
What I most liked was the skills of the player, it makes even more wonderful this battle.
Good video :)
My head canon is that street fighter and castlevania exist in the same universe. Julius straight up trained with Akuma. Dude had demon teleport, and dive kick.
Music=WIN!
Also, I remember this fight being insanely difficult, but the design is amazing...
Looking forward to seeing Soma and Julius in the final season of Castlevania.
It really makes you wonder how powerful Julius was in his Prime if him being able to cause massive damages to structures in the background was still him holding back.
Reminder dracula castle is basically infinite dimensional
Shanoa, Soma and Alucard destroy him with ease
@@wallacesousuke1433 I have doubts on that considering a recently regained memory, older and mentioned by Soma himself holding back Julius seems to be capable of beating him considering Soma beyond just trusting Julius as a Friend at that point also had so much trust in Julius to beat him if he failed to beat Chaos and turned into Dracula.
For me it's obvious that a Prime Julius wouldn't exactly keel to those guys in an actual serious battle as you seem to imply.
@@trentrider5985 and? Tons of characters have beaten Dracula before, especially since Dracula in the games is massively nerfed and makes no sense that he would lose to ordinary whip-wielding humans, but that's a different topic xD
I'm just comparing Julius' skills to those of Soma, Alucard and Shanoa, and based on that I can safely conclude that Julius wouldn't be able to even land a hit on any of them, due to their insane speed, variety of ranged attacks, absurd magic proficiency, mastery of several weapons, abilities that grabt them perfect defense/invulnerability, ability to heal themselves, shapeshifting, as well as being able to summon familiars/demons.
@@wallacesousuke1433Julius is stronger, faster and more experienced than all three of those. "Invulnerability" Julius has Omnia Vanitas which literally makes him phase through solid objects, those fodder pieces of trash aren't doing anything with their silly magic tricks
Really wish Soma's boss fight in Julius Mode was more like this.
Why are a lot of the 'rival' fights in the Metroid Castlevanias so good?
SotN: Doppelganger
AoS: Julius
DoS: Dmitri, Dario Pt 2, Soma
PoR: Lecarde Sisters, Richter
OoE: Albus, Barlowe
Because they move more human-like , probably ?
I wished this style of move would be used on final boss of Castlevania someday ; imagine a Dracula fight but he moves like human player
@@zapperil That makes sense; I always enjoyed boss battles when they feel more like a rivalry, and being of a similar size helps reinforce that.
Ew Richter/whip's memory in PoR is terrible, one of the cheapest AI's I've seen in a game.
@@wallacesousuke1433why?
@@Kira22558 I already explained why, dude o.O blatant input reading, hits like a truck, (and hits you if you're behind him but close lol) has too much HP... I no hit him but had to resort to cheesing: /watch?v=qmuOvJt0NQE
Huh. I never thought about sliding past him like you've done. Clever trick for people who use weapons shorter than his whip (Kaladbolg). Good showing but can't say I'm too fond of KickerSkeleton spam. +1
A fight like this you wonder how the makers of DiveKick didn't include either of them. I like how you started throwing fireballs when he brought out the subweapons. If you'd used more, it would be even more fitting.
Even though he wins it's Soma/Drac who says STOP! It's something to think on, really.
When Julius was a true badass, he didn't needed MP to use Omnia vanitas, he said "Urgle" when dive kicking, and he could high jump as long as he wanted.. Not anymore.
Love Julius Belmont the music is so epic
*GRAND CROSS!!*
_castle crumbles in the background_
I would love for someone to beat Julius (or Richter as Alucard) using only Hell's Fire, just so Dracula can say to himeself "Ha! I knew it was gonna work!"
The last of his bloodline, the first born of a new cursed bloodline.
We need a 1999 Castlevania, call it, Orchestra of Souls. Here's the premise. Journey forth now for the last time, the last of his bloodline, Julius Belmont, tied to his past by the grand arcane holy weapon - a whip earnestly named Vampire Killer, must topple countless terrors and stop the compression of the dark Lord's ultimate power. . .
. . .And no man shall say who will emerge victorious
Spilling forth in the final battle, you fight alongside every single Belmont to defeat Dracula for good, one last time.
Doesnt he have a sister in the Novel?
I havent heard of that but I am planning to get it soon
I would definitely love to see the GBA and DS Castlevania games remade. Too bad Konami became….terrible.
Edit: Colour me surprised, they ported the DS games!
Let's be honest: here they gave us like three or four things we wanted all crammed in a ight which we will never forget.
if they would remaster this with 2.5 HD graphics holy fuck
Weaponised moonwalking meets the unstoppable footstall
if his grand cross is strong enough to break the castle in the back, everything should have crumbled
Need to make a custom smash bros stage like this also with soma and julius skins
1999 Julius game when?
Likely never sadly.... 😭😤
"ULIP! ULIP!"
XD I can imagine that he was saying that
2:21 Soma: OH MY GOD!! RUN!! RUN!! I'M FUCKED!!!
When he says "Don't make me use my whip again" he fucking means it
_Don't let me use that whip again._
I like how...close it was to defeat. Felt legit.
Dracula: the war is going to be grand my armies have waited for this
Julius: I'VE COME TO KICK YOUR ASS DRACULA
Dracula: HOW DID YOU GET HERE SO FAST WHERE ARE MY ARMIES
we need a 2d oldschool arpg Castlevania game set in 1999 with julius as the main character
Julius is the best in this game
Julius is the most powerful of his clan if only one Grand Cross from him could cause the castle to start crumbling.
So Julius is the most powerful of the Belmonts?
Quarter Guy said that is all.
And that makes me wonder if he'll become a future character in smash ultimate
tbh i wish he was simons echo fighter instead of richter
Atleast I expect that Simon or Richter has Julius colors on their skins.
I hope so!
Heart of Fire is one of the best songs in the game EVER! Awesome fight too!
I need to see this animated omg
Wtf, the video keeps going after the limit, you can see some cut content where Julius defeats Soma. It actually ends at 4:48
Definitely the most fun fight in the game.
Dracula: Nah, I'd win.
🔥✝GRAND CROSS ✝🔥
The team behind the Castlevania Netflix series say they are considering Julius as a future protagonist
He should bring us back Sonia Belmont, those sexist punks at Konami deemed her non-canon.
I just finished this game the other day... And while Julius was pretty tough, he wasn't that much of a step up in difficulty from other bosses, in my opinion. I got hit way more by Balore. Hit him and immediately use the backdash to get into a rhythm, and use all the soul abilities you need. I actually managed to beat him with the Claimh Solais without remembering to change weapons pfft but that said, I did use up most of my potions doing so
02:18 the sync of grand cross release and the song is dramatic...
ULEULEULEULEULEULEULEULE.
That was a fight truly full of action. There was a lot to look at. Definitely like.
what is that julius say?
Ule? soriule?
Wondering how this fight would look if it was done in anime...
in movie :)
maybe so good i think
+KH boscool man. sorry for not replying in over a year. :/
I didn't receive any notification from your reply. but this would look amazing in a movie if there was actors that are able to use whips, cause we ever rarely see whips used in combat.
Bosco Wong This can be real....
Try searching Castlevania on Netflix.....
Fighting Julius even with the best weapon in the game (Claimh Solais) was still very damn hard. Easily one of the best boss battles ever.
claim is actually not a good weapon against Julius since it's holy damage, something like the Kaladbolg that deals dark damage is actually better for this fight
@@arkan5000 Yeah i knew that, i just use one weapon for all monsters, never really bothering with the types of damage. Tho my playstyle revolves heavily around using Souls, so yeah.
@@Dantelor i know man, after you get the claim, there's almost no reason to use any other weapon. Unless you play on hard mode and get the scythe
@@arkan5000 Most of the time I just use the Curly soul with Headhunter and Valkyrie for the Red soul, just because its my favorite. And then Soma dies from Mana Potion Poisoning

Better go with some katana instead
Yesterday I beat him .it was so difficult to I used blackphanter ability and defeated him
