Thank you for sharing your experience and I'm sorry to hear it wasn't the best! Attendance at 626 drops around back-to-school time every year. This weekend was actually my lowest sales night market of the year and other vendors I talked to felt the same. If you're going to try again, June + July are my peak sales months for these events (it will be just as hot though)! Since you mainly sell prints and stickers, I'd recommend applying to their Art Walk where they offer discounted booths!
@@ClorisCreates No worries at all! I’m not too surprised given the time frame as you mentioned and I’m sure the night markets prior are usually more poppin’ since I’ve been to the Arcadia show as well as an attendee, it always looks good! I hope I didn’t come off too harsh in the video since I am coming off several events/going into a heavy event schedule. I appreciate your advice and definitely will be on the look out for other events including possibilities to join the Art Walk booths!
@@StickerZooDesigns Not at all, I'm super critical about event results too and I compare events a lot when it's not really a fair comparison. Good luck at your upcoming events, hope to see you around sometime!
As someone who sells apparel, I totally agree with the point Yabai Society made about trying to please too many kinds of customers. I have one kind of fit, 6 different sizes, 11 designs, and they only come in the shirt color they appear on. I don’t have variations and I don’t plan on offering variations any time soon. And what’s so funny is that someone will ask for “this design in black”, I’ll say I don’t have it, and then they buy it anyway lol. It’s okay to stick with our brand vision and niche down! When you try to please everyone, you end up pleasing no one.
Finding your audience is definitely key and I think you have done a great job at that Kelsie! It’s really interesting to hear the insight from both an artist alley and vendors side now that I have talked to both you and Yabai Society!
Omg i’m really glad you think so. I appreciate that because I rarely put it in a ponytail, but I decided to because it was icky and sweaty that day LOL
I love your display and have been watching your videos for a couple of months now. I haven't done any artist alleys yet, but I have done a handful of outdoor events. And, I can tell you that your booth location really does matter! If you get the chance to choose or change your booth, try your best to do it when it comes to outdoor events.
Thank you so much for your compliment and your support watching my videos!! it means so much to me 🫶🫶 Well, Otis Ali table location could not always be paramount to success at an event. I definitely agree with your sentiment about booth location being for outdoor events!
Yesss we will definitely reunite soon at another event soon enough! I’m glad you got the chance to be part of the video making a cameo! I think the microphone will permanently have its place in all of my videos XD
@@inuendo6365 surprising it was pretty humid haha, also the area we were in wasn’t technically indoors but rather sort of like an extremely large gazebo of sorts
Would you guys enjoy more of these interview type videos where you get to hear some thoughts from other artists and creatives who are also relatively new in their tabling journeys? Please let me know what you'd like to hear as I go into my next night market type event next month, OC Japan Fair (Oct. 18-20) !
KEEP IT UP YOU GUYS!!!! These are so fun!! 😊626 is def brutal and I will also not be doing them either, I did outdoor for both Arcadia and OC, so dragging my own canopy was the setback for me haha and not having a huge car for it 🥲

How was it that hot indoors? It sounds like you're in Thailand with bugs heat and humidity, not the US!
