People confuse fakes or, counterfeit with 'unlicensed'. Most of that merchandise in China is the exact same as the 'authentic' merch. If a "fake" is as good or better quality than the OG, made in the same place, and by the same craftsman, then it isn't a fake. It's just unlicensed. This is my opinion but logically I can't see how it isn't also a fact.
@@Mr.CellophaneHart majority are actually not made in the same factory by the same workers or snuck out. Puritan has hundreds of not thousands of factories that get the schematics and try to create the same sneaker and majority of these sneaker do have at least one this slightly different than the ones that come out of the official factories. The UA/ Un authorized or like you said unlicensed was created by rep sellers in North America to promote reps which in return mainly had an effect on the youth. While many of the sneakers are still great quality compared to way back someone who is really into sneakers can tell the difference only when side by side. On foot almost no one can tell now days. I’m not saying there isn’t UA/ unlicensed stuff floating around but that’s usually due to overstock from a production order. Nike asks for 100k the factory makes 110k incase of flaws. B the amount of fakes floating around people claim to be UA is ridiculous. If you were a factory would you risk loosen your contract with Nike?

For real. I bought a pair of turtle doves, pirate blacks, and moon rocks, took them to get authenticated, and they passed with flying colors even though I bought them from a Chinese website knowing they are not “authentic”.

If people get caught shipping counterfeits they can face jail time as it is illegal. It obviously still happens but once again it’s illegal. On top of that if you get caught importing fakes to most countries it is also illegal.
