Doing a good job mate. A little advice for anyone doing this. Make sure you key/ scratch both surfaces of the plating. If you don't they will likely just pop back off at some point and you don't want to lose them. It's also a good idea to wash the brass before working with it. Great tutorial. The plastic edges on the model are out of scale they should have made a better job. Placing them rivets in 3dsmax not fun.
I hear you! My challenge was lining up the windows that I drilled prior to receiving the detail kit, big mistake but was able to get it done.
At this point you might aswell just have an entirely photo-etched hull.
